Nice Bed and Breakfast. It is an older B&B but I believe it adds to the charm. The service was great.

Staff super nice, particularly Beatrice, who was serving breakfast. Great location - short streetcar ride into the French quarter and also start of Garden District. Historic old house very lovely. Rooms comfortable, obviously a bit dated, but so what. Wonderful place to stay.

Our stay was pleasant at Fairchild House Bed and Breakfast. Staff member Daryl met with us as soon as we arrive. Ross was helpful over the phone. The inn keeper Beatriz was very personable and made us feel right at home. This building was built in 1941 and much effort made to keep the authenicity of house.

Staying at the Fairchild House Bed and Breakfast was a delightful experience that left a lasting impression, primarily due to the incredible warmth and helpfulness of both the owner and staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with open arms and smiles, making us feel right at home. The team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, providing us with insightful local recommendations and attending to our needs with genuine care and attention.Although the property itself shows signs of wear and could benefit from some upgrades, this aspect did not detract from the charm and coziness that define a stay here. It's clear that the Fairchild House has a lot of potentials, and with some refurbishments, it could truly shine as a top choice for travelers seeking a personal touch and a homey atmosphere.Overall, our experience was overwhelmingly positive, and we'd recommend Fairchild House Bed and Breakfast to those who value a friendly and warm environment over modern luxuries. It's a place where you're not just a guest but part of a larger family, even if just for a short while.

Excellent staff and care. Very well located near restaurants and transportation. Historic building with some building quirks but most welcoming ownership group.

The B & B is perfectly located within walking to the WWII museum and downtown. A bit further, but still within walking is the French Quarter.
quiet street with cute back yard garden.
staff are very helpful and attentive and serve a lovely expanded continental breakfast- even cooking hot foods!

The place was a beautiful older group of buildings. It had charm and class. The area is quiet and safe. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The tram was just around the corner so you it was an easy ride to the French Quarter. The staff answered any questions I had and gave me a city map. Breakfast was served at a good time, not too early not too late and even made crepes one morning but had a good selection for cereal lovers or those who wanted healthy like boiled eggs and yogurt. I would stay again!

Parking on the street isn't ideal. We prefer secure parking, but no problems. Great staff. Enjoyed it.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Fairchild House Bed & Breakfast. In fact, this was only the second time we have stayed in a bed and breakfast ever. It was super convenient for our needs, as we were able to park our vehicle in a private, off-street, secure lot, and walk everywhere we needed/wanted to go. This included the Convention Center, the French Quarter and Bourbon St. The Garden District neighborhood was peaceful and very safe. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning because there was a friendly attendant there who kept things supplied. Our room was very clean, and housekeeping brought us fresh towels each day. The only thing to "complain" about was the 12" television in our room. The antique sleigh bed made it impossible to see the screen from the bed. There was only one chair in the room as well. The room needs a larger tv for certain as well as another chair. We will definitely stay here again - but perhaps in a different room. Highly recommend Lula Restaurant and Distillery just one block east for dining and cocktails.

Great breakfast. Easy parking. Quiet. Great location. Wonderful staff. Biggest complaint was the water pressure and lack of hot water. Otherwise, loved it!!

Top-notch Bed & Breakfast experience at a cozy and comfortable house hosted by warm, welcoming, and kind owners.

It had a nice ambiance. Beautiful breakfast area and breakfast was perfect with very helpful cook. Room could have been cleaner, baseboards were dirty & i didnt feel comfortable walking barefoot in room and bathroom. If I had brought slippers it wld have been more comfortable. But overall very good experience.

Perfectly fine place to stay for a weekend trip to the Big Easy. Nothing fancy, but lots of character and a great location. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would recommend and will likely return.

Room with a view & large comfortable bed. A particularly cold weekend in January, but staff had heat already warming room. Personnel made accommodations for our breakfast the next morning as we had a tour planned early. Breakfasts were wonderful with plenty of choices that included a veggie & egg casserole…wonderful all around. Parking on the street was very good, but knew there was gated/ enclosed area too. Thank you for everything!

Fairchild was perfect for our New Orleans visit! They were so helpful when I needed to shift our booking and Darryl had amazing restaurant recommendations.

The Inn keepers were extremely helpful and friendly. I didn't put a review on the food as we haven't had breakfast yet.

Gated parking for guests. Ross was an excellent resource about the area and especially dining.

It was such a cute, unique building and room. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the location was perfect for what we needed. Great stay here, I would definitely come back!

It was fine for what it was. Not a great hotel. Towels were old, towel racks ripped out of the walls, chipping paint, etc..
If you know that going in-pretty cool stay, just a lot more run down than advertised.

The staff were great and customer friendly.
The property parking was inconvenient.

Lovely B&B located within historic NOLA buildings, run by lovely people. Rooms cleaned daily, very nice breakfast (included), lots of charm. 10-15 min walking distance to the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Great place to stay for visiting WW2 museum. Easy walking distance to museum, Amtrak & Desi Vega's. Good breakfast as well.

Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Fridge was greatly appreciated. The breakfast had good options and friendly service. Our only suggestion would be to start breakfast earlier. We had an early tour start (8am).

Really enjoyed my stay at the Fairchild House. The history of the area makes you feel a real part of the old skool NoLa. Short 20-30 min walk to bourbon street or Mardi Gras World. Close enough to walk to everything and far enough to not hear all the noise, très bien.

We enjoyed our stay! The location was excellent, as were the staff and breakfast! We were a little disappointed that the room was not nearly as nice as the pictures. The curtains were stained and askew. The walls were heavily scuffed. The worst for us was the shower curtain hanging such that it clung to us in the shower. How many people has it clung to? Gross.

The staff were kind, helpful, and provided some excellent recommendations for a first time visitor to NOLA!

This B and B had everything we needed. Location was excellent and we slept well. We appreciated all the information about the area we received at check-in. Breakfast was tasty and convenient -- Beatrice made delicious crepes the last morning of our stay. The houses on the property are very old, and it shows in the plaster and woodwork in some areas. But I thought it had character, and our room had a remodeled bath/shower.

We loved this spot, such friendly staff and beautiful courtyard. The only downside was that the bed was really hard and uncomfortable. We didn't sleep that well. Everything else was wonderful.

Great location. The room was clean, but somewhat run down. That said, I would rather stay in this style of hotel than something modern. Staff were very welcoming and nice. Loved the courtyard.

I lived a long time ago in New Orleans and this part of town was not the nicest to hang out in. This B&B has all I needed for a short stay. It is located just off St. Charles and Magazine streets so getting to busses or streetcar is easy. The house is only 30 years younger than the city itself! What an opportunity to stay in such a place.

Lovely old 1840s house. Staff were great - really enjoyed talking to them and the owner, Beatrice. Really good breakfast with china cups and plates. Rooms could do with just a little tlc to keep their condition from declining.

If you want to experience the historical place to stay in New Orleans., this place is the one. From the staffs, place and breakfast in the morning, hands down. They are really nice. We feel safe to this place and literally close to everything. You can take the street train and you can be there to your location in just minutes. I would stay here again because I love historical places. The bed and breakfast is nice, it’s not fancy but classic :) and because of staying there, I learned how to make that cinnamon and raisin bread pudding lol. Because the lady made that for breakfast and I was so curious how to bake that. I would recommend this place especially for the people who loves to travel and explore .
