Got woke at 6am by a fire alarm and evacuation that was caused by bad maintenance. Could not return to the hotel for over 2 hours. On checkout they had already charged for breakfast that was missed due to the fire alarm and I had to argue with them to get it refunded. Not good customer service here

Had a nice time hotel was lovely clean tidy staff very friendly. Only thing was reception didn’t tell us what time breakfast was served or whether we had use of spa facilities during our stay but otherwise everything was great
4.0
Facilities were wonderful, pool, spar etc.
The disappointing thing about the overnight stay was the price of the food to the amount you get served. Massively overpriced menu and I travel the country staying in hotels weekly due to work to know.

Good gym, bar food was ok.
Nice room.

Really enjoyed my stay

Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Very strict about booking a table for dinner and won't let you sit down to eat even if 3 quarters of the tables are empty if you haven't made a reservation. Food prices quite high for the quality.

Great 2nite stay , service a bit slow on first nite but tbf there was a large group staying at the same time as our visit. Weekend was everything we wanted it to be

Visited Westerwood with my wife, 2 teenage kids and dog, we have visited before at a similar time of year. Welcome at reception was pleasant and room was excellent, good size and clean and tidy. We were informed that there was no pool and spa open on day of arrival although this was 1st Jan and is explainable it would have been nice to know when booking. Helpful friendly staff member covering in lounge bar area. Dinner was not up to standard previously enjoyed at hotel, quality poor and took a long time to get food. Visited pool which was open on 2nd day and steam room not working. Might just have been time of year or lack or staff but definitely not as good as previous visits.

Good property and environment. More attention to cleaning of the room

So delighted with our stay and especially delighted that we got such a fantastic deal with Hotel.com and using our tesco clubcard points. The bed was so comfortable and complete blackout curtains meant we had an amazing sleep. The food was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Lovely room, spacious and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was great - clearly recently renovated, although the shower head was leaking from the join. Unfortunately the pillows were very soft and there was a lot of noise from the room upstairs and affected my sleep. The restaurant was very delicious, however it was fully booked for Saturday night and with the lack of other options around the venue i didn't get to eat that night at all

Very loud banging under window . At service door.
We stayed in room 342 it was directly below our window . Which unfortunately ruined our stay

20 minute Delay on check in with no apology, no complimentary water or biscuits. No guiness on tap or canned!!
Ordered 2 x Prawn lingunie for myself and colleague, arrived looking like the small portion sizes had been dropped from a height in to the bowls resulting in uneven sized portions. very expensive hotel rooms for a uncomfartable single bed.

Excellent warm welcome from reception staff on arrival. Room was spacious, comfortable and scrupulously clean with excellent storage & facilities (inc mini fridge). Hotel with very busy with tours and therefore meal times were a bit hectic but staff coped well. Sadly, the whole spa/pool area was closed unexpectedly (while I was in it) and messages from staff & management were confused and not very polite.
Overall a good experience & we would return for another visit.

4 days later and I still haven't seen a receipt or even had a piece of paper stating how much they've charged me
Avoid this place... surely you have to see proof of claim before they can take money out of your account ?
Decidedly dodgy

Clean and comfortable but staff rude on leisure centre reception and breakfast - I’d go elsewhere

The hotel was nice and comfortable, if a bit tired with regards to decor in our room, and changing rooms etc. Staff were very nice and friendly.
Although we don't play golf the surrounding grounds were lovely.
My girls spent many hours in the nice pool, and I charged my EV for free, which was a welcome bonus.
At around £400 for 2 nights I was a little surprised at the need to tidy up the decor etc.
The one thing that really let did disappoint, sadly was the food on our first night.
We arrived tired and hungry, and i thought I'd treat the girls to dinner in the bar.
3 main courses, 1 glass of wine and 2 soft drinks was over £75, and for this I would expect a very high standard of food.
My daughters fish and chips was nice enough. My cesar salad with chicken was very basic and bearly acceptable, but my other daughters ploughman's was extremely disappointing. It arrived on a tiny plate and was little more than a small slice of ham and a couple of pieces of cheddar. It looked rather dried up, as if it had been sitting around for quite some time.
How this came to over £75, I dont know.

Very nice hotel, good amenities

There are just things a spa/resort facility is expected to provide those who are paying. The first being a spa facility that is ready for clients at open time. The pool/jacuzzi area opened at 8 am yet we couldn’t get in the water because staff were working on water balance of chemicals. Why not do this when the pool is closed from 9 pm to 8 am? The second is that to access the spa facility you have to walk through the middle of the restaurant by people eating at tables. This is super uncomfortable and awkward for both those using the spa and those eating! Why would anyone want to parade in sweaty clothes or swimsuits through the middle of a restaurant and why would those dining appreciate that?

Hotel itself was lovely & staff nice to talk to. Loved the pool for my son. Resteraunt was the opposite sadly and ruined stay, if we had eaten somewhere else it would have been perfect weekend.

Disappointing stay. The food from the bar menu was terrible for the price paid. Very much cheap and not made fresh or by an actual chef. When asked how it was and informed the staff it was not good the response “ah ok” and left.
Room was clean but due to how out of date the hotel is no air con so boiling hot. We had a family room overlooking the car park and where people must go to smoke underneath so could not have the window open.
Pillows awful so hardly slept due to heat and uncomfortable. Digital room keep worked once then never again and we were so far from reception that when asked about it said it working on the system and I am the only staff member on so can’t leave my station.
Pool was outdated, dirty and needs major repair work. Hardly any working lockers. I would not recommend this as a spa hotel.
For a Marriott we were bitterly disappointed. The only plus point was that they accept dogs in the room but they are not allowed in any of the restaurant only bar area so limited to food options.

Rooms are dated, shower cubicle was very old. Cooked breakfast wasn't very warm. Outside appearance of building quite poor (choked guttering, grass not kept well, weeds around about). Would not rush back.

Staff are the best thing about this hotel- they’re very friendly and go the extra mile to resolve problems. Hotel furnishings even in main lobby are worn and tired, bedrooms could do with a revamp. Plates, cups and cutlery were dirty and had to go through them to find clean ones for breakfast- it can’t be that difficult to have them clean. Don’t know if dogs being in rooms and all about is really a good idea- I walked through to lift and just through doors was a puddle on floor- I love dogs but I’d say in strange surroundings they could get nervous! We had stayed previously about 12 years ago but it definitely is not of the same standard as it was then. I have to say there is a wide variety at breakfast and porridge, pancakes etc ordered from menu are very quickly delivered.

The hotel staff were lovely from start to finish. Pool area was lovely and clean and not too busy. Food at dinner and breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were warm and comfortable. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.
