Great choice! For an affordable stay in Hollywood area, close to walk of fame ., metro, buses, great staff and facilities . Breakfast option recommended. Definitely coming back!

Our stay was perfect. The rooms were roomy, comfortable, clean, and updated. The only thing was the noise from the street at night.

Some of the front staff wasn’t very nice. Breakfast yogurts ran out before the end and they said that’s all they had. Next day they had more. There was a resident cockroach in the room, I had to kill him because he didn’t want to leave.

The hotel was noisy since it’s by the streets of West Hollywood. We could hear vehicles and people through the night. The walls are also extremely thin. Breakfast was your basic best western. Overall I think this stay would’ve been better if it wasn’t so noisy.

The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was great. The price was great even including parking. It was loud after hours but I still slept very well.

Aside from the owners horrible attitude, the loud guests and the lack of a properly working AC, our room had a bedbug infestation. We did not realize until after our stay that the bug bites we obtained were from bedbugs. My two ten year old daughters were bitten so badly that they formed a skin infection and have to be treated with antibiotics to stop the spread. At checkout there was no one to be seen at the front desk, and the gate to leave the parking lot was locked. Because of the horrid parking situation and tight fit, and the need to turn around, my brand new car was also damaged leaving the property. I will never be staying here again.

Staff were lovely, the location is convenient! Rooms are clean, basic - but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room anyway!

Relatively inexpensive hotel on Sunset Blvd that is walkable during the day (3-4 blocks) from Hollywood Blvd near the Chinese Theatre. Watch out, though. Sunset Blvd there is really showing its age and the neighbourhood a night is empty / sketchy. The room itself was a little cramped, the floor was very dirty (turned our feet / socks / charging cables grey). The parking spots were incredibly small and tight to navigate, and we saw multiple cars take damage trying to navigate them (And ourselves took a small dent). The shower curtains were too small and water from the shower readily overflowed the bathroom floor. Overall, the impression is of a very old building retrofitted a la Best Western, but the building and neighbourhood has limitations. At least the breakfast was pretty good - included bacon / sausages / eggs. We did not try the outdoor pool (no time), the pool is a definite asset. Overall, a below average experience. But we did appreciate the day time staff.

This motel was in a convenient location, close to a supermarket, fast food, liquor, and a Ross store. It was a walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. However, if you are looking for a good night's sleep, or have children who sleep light, this is not the place for you. Very noisy! People outside their doors at all hours, speaking loudly, cars in the courtyard, and I am not sure if it was a car revving, or very noisy AC, and of course, street noise. We had a family room because there were 4 of us, and in the main room, there were no lamps. We had to have the bright LED lights on, and that was not convenient after my grandson went to bed, if I wanted to sit and have a glass of wine. The only place to plug in the coffee maker, was the bedside table. There are no towel racks in the bathroom to hang a hand towel or a face cloth by the sink. My grandson filled the sink to wash his face, and we had to use the mechanism under the sink to release the plug. The pool was nice, the breakfast was ok, but they didn't always have some things, like yogurt, for instance. I thi k if I ever go back to LA, i would look for another hotel.

Bed was comfortable, pillows were too soft for my liking, the air conditioning only seemed to make it slightly cooler and felt damp/humid, water pressure of the sink was super strong that it splashes everywhere (bad sink design), parking was super tight and awkward and gate closed at 11pm, breakfast was okay (powdered eggs), and every else was clean in the room.

The staff was nice but the hotel was dated with peeling wall paper, mold and a foul odor that only subsided once I opened the window and doors and sprayed Lysol. This is a hotel located in a few tear area of West Hollywood and is great for tourist who will spend minimum time on premises.

nice boutique hotel property in a great location. Property appears to be fairly recently remodeled and is centrally located in Hollywood with lots of different options for restaurants and shops. Linens, towels, and bathroom amenities could be updated. Area can be loud at night but it is Hollywood. Overall a good property with nice staff.

Corey at the front desk went above and beyond to be accommodating to our request and was very helpful. All staff were lovely. Great location, walking distance to attractions.

The staff were kind, helpful and easy going. We appreciated the early check in and the late checkout! It was nice to have a pool to cool off and catch some sun. The breakfast had a decent amount of variety and they didn't rush people out. While the neighbourhood is a little rough, the people keep it feeling safe and looking nice.

This is my second time staying here, this time however wasn’t all that pleasant, the noises of other guests at 2 am was just very loud. The staff at check-in & out was attentive as always.

The only thing is the tv has no online options for netflix amazon etc

Parking needs to improve

First time I've stayed at Sunset West and I was very satisfied with it as a base for travelling around LA. Easy on-site parking, basic serve-yourself breakfast buffet and directly opposite the huge 24-hour Ralph's store, which was very convenient. Only a few minutes' walk from central Hollywood, the Ovation and the Metro Station. Clean, friendly, with fridge and microwave.

Nice location and neat rooms although a bit small

We had a nice updated room. Staff were nice, great location with supermarket across the road. Lots of food outlets, walking distance to Hollywood walk of fame. 10 minute drive to Universal Studios. We had a quiet room looking towards the back of the property.

The manager ( Anthony ) i beleive was his name was very friendly and helpful. Actually all of the staff were excellent.

This hotel several times over, and I’ve always had nothing short of a great experience. The hotel is well-maintained, clean updated, and the rooms are generally quite spacious. I was that I’ve stayed here. I’ve only been able to get breakfast one time just way too many people crowded in that little room and even if you’re able to get inside, there’s nothing left by 9 o’clock in the morning. The pros rooms are back and clean. I love the fact that I am able to access the unit from outside. Free parking across the street from the Ralph’s staff is extremely friendly. I do however think that it’s slightly over price for what it is every time I go to this hotel it’s about 25% more expensive than the last time and quite frankly there are nicer hotels in the area that cost less as mentioned, the breakfast programs could also be modified to be more accessible for all paying guests. Overall, 4.5/5 stars and I’ll be without a doubt back again in the future.

Good stay . Comfortable. Decent breakfast Near attractions

The office managers were extremely knowledgeable. They were attentive and kind. We are a family of five with three small ones. The breakfast was good for everyone, pool and room clean whatever we didn’t have we asked and they provided. I was scared due to rating but let me tell you it was a very pleasant surprise and I recommend. So close to a lot of attractions. Feeling very lucky to have found this gem.
