Okay, we knew what we were paying for and knew that the hotel was kind of ‘mid-range’ although pretty expensive still.
The room was decent enough and mostly the staff were friendly. However, there seemed to be a feeling for some staff (beach bar especially) that they were only interested in sucking up to the multitudes of Americans for extra tips. Human nature I guess. But when there is already a 10% service charge already on every bill to then almost expect up to an additional 20% tip makes 2 small local beers around $17.
It was also obviously apparent that the beach towel staff were taking tips to reserve front row beds on the beach for the Americans as despite our being down on the beach by 8am every day all front row beds mysteriously had towels sat on them with not a soul in sight!!
All in all a nice holiday but it should have been a whole lot more special for what we spent. May return to the island one day but not to this hotel.

This was our second stay at Ocean Club West, and it was fabulous! The staff is friendly and helpful, and they go above and beyond to provide exemplary service. The accommodations are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the buildings and grounds are meticulously maintained. We can't wait to go back again!

This was our third visit to the Turks and Caicos and our first stay at ocean Club West. The property was excellent! Wonderful room, perfect beach front, and dinning options all around.
The one area that needs definite change its the properties restaurant. The food quality was just ok but the service at the restaurant needs to be addressed. Unlike Ocean Club, (East), there is literally no beach service for food and beverages while on the beach. Other resorts in the area offer this and it is something that needs to be improved upon.
Please not that the staff at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful, but it was understaffed.
An a bright note, the bell men Emell and TC were amazing, personable, and full of knowledge about the surrounding businesses.
Again, we love the resort and its staff.

We stayed at Ocean Club West for our first trip to the Islands. Everything from beginning to end was amazing! The staff was exceptional, going above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable. Special shout out to the bell men who made everything so effortless with all of our luggae. The room was spacious and clean. The area was within walking distance to everything in Gracebay, and the resort has connections with taxi services if you plan to travel outside of the area. We definitely recommend this establishment.

We stayed at Ocean Club west this November- we had a good stay- staff helpful and so friendly. Our room was simple but clean- loved having a screened in balcony to rest on. Loved how close to the beach it is. Pool is great for when the ocean is a little rough. Lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas on beach and at pool. Love having a beach bar that you can charge to your room. Place is close to local grocery store so we cooked some of our own meals to save money. We live in Canada so prices comparable to home on a lot of things. We took taxis or places provided rides for the outings that we did. Would like if property provided list of restaurants- activities in area- we googled a lot. Over all place is clean- important to me- daily room cleaning if you choose. We loved how close we were to the beach- daily walks were awesome. I felt safe and when we were in our room it was quiet. Desk checks on you your first day and makes sure your departure goes smooth. I would return for another visit and would recommend to others as well.

Great location - walkable to many restaurants and the beach was amazing! The unit had a washer/dryer and kitchenette which was beneficial. It didn't have an oven which would have been nice, but there are grills on the property. The online site said that it had a happy hour at the restaurant, but unfortunately it didn't. We found a great happy hour nearby, but would have spent more money at Ocean Club if they had one.

The location is great, and within walking or biking distance of many shops and restaurants. The beach is beautiful…soft white sands, with an expanse of chairs and umbrellas. The staff is engaging and friendly. The grounds were immaculate. Such a relaxing and comfortable stay! We stayed here for our first to TCI a few years ago, and loved it enough to come back.

(cross-posted review) Gonna give this place an average of 3 stars because the service is a problem but the room and location are outstanding. Details as follows:
Pros -
The room (2 bedroom partial oceanview deluxe suite) was among the biggest I've ever had for the price. The rooms are like an air B&B so the condition and style of your room is highly variable. I stronly recommend you request our specific room, room 735 cause it was so impeccably maintained, fantastic upscale decor, pleasant floors to walk on even barefoot, and fully stocked plates/pans/silverware etc.
The beach has silky soft sand and plenty of umbrellas placed out so it was never an issue
Con -
The main Con was the service; we stayed Tuesday through Saturday, so that means we should have had 3 days of service (wednesday, thursday and friday). They never came wednesday and I asked them to ensure they come around noon on thursday which they did, and then friday again they never showed up. We had to request towels at least so we could shower on those days they didn't come. If there's no service, it really becomes a question of why stay here instead of any other air B&B?
Overall I had a good enough experience but I don't think I'll stay at this resort in the future, and definitely would only consider staying if specifically room 735 was available.

This resort is wonderful. From the moment we checked in by the gentlemen greeting us with a big smile and a friendly "hello" to the girls at the front desk with a cold refreshment waiting for us. It was a great start. Our unit was very spacious. There were 4 of us. We had 2 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, large kitchen, living room. Each room was very modern and very well furnished. We also had 2 balconies and both balconies were completely netted in. We had booked partial view of the ocean, but it was more full view of the ocean. The Resturant is also very good, we went once for breakfast and it was delicious. The pool was also very nice, lots of pool chairs with umbrellas. There are BBQ's on site which were cleaned every single morning, they looked brand new every day. The gentleman who handed you the fresh towels every morning were very pleasant, they were also available to answer all our questions. Ask for Captain Joseph. The ocean, well what else can I say, it was spectacular. I swear someone pours blue dye in that ocean, its breath taking. We were lucky to see Jo-Jo the dolphin. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. Lots of water sports and bikes that were also very available.
I want to thank everyone at Ocean Club West for making our first trip to Provo a very pleasant one. We will be back!

The property was beautifully maintained and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were there in October, so things were a little slow, but they could have livened things up with music around the pool and beach bar to give it more of a party atmosphere. No one from the bar came over to the pool to see if we wanted drinks and we were basically ignored if we didn’t seek someone out for a drink, even though they weren’t busy- lots of missed opportunities to make some money off of us.
The bar out on the beach was cute, but it closed at 6 and therefore patrons couldn’t sit and enjoy their drink while watching a gorgeous sunset. But we did get to watch the bartender completely wash down the entire bar…so that was fun…
Prices for food and drink were expensive and there were no specials to be had. They could have sold a lot more if there prices were more reasonable. Many people staying there were buying food and drinks at the nearby grocery store because of the resort’s prices.
We enjoyed using the resort’s complimentary bikes, but they were older and could have used a little sprucing up, with baskets on the handlebars to carry bags and such.
It would have been nice if the studio suites had two queen beds instead of one king. Not everybody who comes there comes as a couple, so unless we were willing to pay for a two bedroom suite, we had to sleep together, which was not preferable.
Overall, though, we had a really nice time and enjoyed ourselves.

2nd time visiting Ocean Club West. Truly feels like a vacation home when you are there with all the necessities inside and out. The grounds are beautiful and staff is helpful. Beach and ocean are breathtaking.

Nice property if not a tad dated. Splurge to get a view of the light blue ocean. Great access to beach (including towels and chairs and umbrella). It also has a very nice pool. Service is excellent. Food is very good especially the sushi! The property is within a reasonable 10-15 min walk or even shorter bike ride to some nice shops and restaurants. 15-20 mins to airport via taxi.

Pros: resort is on a wonderful beach with beautiful soft sand, plenty of room/never had any problems finding lounge chairs. Grocery store is close by and resort provides a wagon for guest use to carry back items. Shuttle to ocean club property next door is convenient. Full kitchen and washer/dryer are nice amenities. Sushi at the restaurant is excellent. Resort is walkable to shopping area.
Cons: quality of the rooms vary as it depends on the owner. Ours had a sofa bed which was broken. Resort provided a rollaway bed but it was not comfortable. Suite also was rather dated and dingy compared to the pictures on Expedia. We had problems with the TV which took more than a few phone calls and visit by technician to fix. Screened in balcony was nice but only one lounger provided on the patio. Beware the bikes, my friend used one and brakes did not work properly. Staff are not very friendly: no greeting when you come to reception and the hellos and thank you to the shuttle driver went unanswered.
Overall the resort is a good value for the area, the beach access and location is great but customer service is mixed and quality of the rooms vary.

The staff was very helpful and they were all so nice. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. Our room was perfect for the 2 of us, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great too! The restaurant was good and the beach is right there and had plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. The stores and restaurants were all walkable if you're not renting a car. Grocery store too. Its a great location in Provo! We were very happy with our stay!

The property is in a great location & the service was pretty good but our room needed improvement. The kitchen sink drain was linking, the tv never worked, the toilet slow to flush and did not have an iron even though they said there was.
