Was not told through Expedia's website and only made aware at check-in that there was a 50 dollar deposit required to stay at The Missoula Motel 6 .
Also, it would be refunded only after room inspection at checkout and if the staff decided that the room was in satisfactory condition.
I still haven't been refunded my money .
If I had known that there were more charges I would have probably looked at renting another Motel in town .

King bed, 3 pillows, one no pillowcase. Not as clean as it should've been. Bathroom clean, bed very good. The chair in room was dirty, dusting needed, and the best area around the sink and bathroom. Mirrors needed recleaned. Front desk very nice.

Styed 3 days thru Christmas. Tried to tell the guy who checked me in that i wanted 3rd floorvwith no one above me and he put me on 2nd floor and people beside and above both had dogs that ran and played sounding like horses. Finally called the 2nd night and got someone at the front desk to complain to no.avail. Hot water wasnt even luke warm the whole 3 days we were there. Then Christmas Day the fire department was knocking on doors literally trying to find out were the maintenance man stayed. Literally 2 bath towels and one hand towel is all that was in the room along with a rool and a half of toliet paper and no house keeping services the entire time. Worst Motel 6 I've ever stayed at and thats saying alot

It's ridiculous that they unplug the refrigerator in between guests. Fine, if you want to save electricity, do that. But the person checking people in has to tell the guests that the refrigerator is unplugged. We had a lot of food that had to be thrown out because we had no idea it had been at room temperature all night.
This used to be a very competitive motel when they first revamped it, putting in new flooring, spiffing it up. Modest but always clean and very convenient location next to the campus. I was not impressed this last visit. And it was 40 bucks more per night than a much better motel that we stayed at just a few nights later.

The only positive of this experience was the front desk associate who checked us in. Nice guy. We didn't get to our room until late and didn't have the energy to do anything other than try to turn on a light (that was burned out), turn the TV on and fall asleep. When we woke up this morning we had a chance to examine the space. Our room was filthy. There were mystery stains running down the wall. The microwave/toaster oven had food caked into the bottom of it and splattered all over the inside. We opened the fridge and were IMMEDIATELY overwhelmed with an awful rotten smell, despite it looking clean. It made both of us gag. The bathtub and shower walls were stained. Sheets on the bed were so wrinkled it made me question if they had been changed. Paint splatters on the floor and cabinets near the vanity. The burned out light fixture had a layer of dust and grime on it that showed it obviously hadn't been cleaned in several weeks. Front door had scratches all around the locks and more stains.
We will never stay here again, and I will be reaching out for a full refund. The Motel 6 north of town is remarkably better, we have stayed there several times and haven't had any memorably terrible experiences such as this one. Disgusting, unsanitary, and downright shameful. Didn't have time to speak with staff this morning, as we had to hurry home, and I hate leaving reviews without talking to anyone first to get issues resolved in-person, but I have never had as bad of a room as this.

Lady’s at check in were nice enough. They were overwhelmed a bit. The room has a fridge, when opened it smelled like death. Made our room unbearable…There’s flys in the room, weird for December in MT. Hair everywhere….just not good…pretty gross…I’m gonna nicely try for a partial refund.

It says that it is open 24/7 but the night window which says 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. ring bell for service was a lie there was nobody on shipped when I locked myself out of my room without a coat and shoes in 20° weather out 1:00 in the morning I had to wait outside with my pregnant friend until 6:00 when staff finally arrived, I didn't even get an apology I had mentioned compensation for free night and she ignored me until after check out the next day I asked her to talk to a manager about it so they compd me one free night. I believe we should have got a free night for every hour we were stuck outside getting frostbite.

Our room was dirty. Hair in the bedding all over and the shower was dirty. Staff was pleasant.

Room wasn't clean; however, after the manager was advised, he apologized and said he would clean it himself. When we came back, it was good.

The room was too cold and not enough blankets.

The room was dirty after they said it was cleaned. There was cracks in the ceiling and moldy ceiling tiles as well. Our door also wouldn't open with room key reprogramed multiple times. Desk clerk had to pry door open so we could get our stuff! This was supposed to be one of their suites! Property and room was in poor condition! Desk clerk did his best to get us intonour room. After our first night, we checked out and got a room somewhere else. Do not recommend this place!!

Decent room for the price

Staff are all super nice and helpful. I also like the fact that they don’t bother you during your stay and will help when you need linen or toiletries

Easy check in.

Lived down to my low expectations of a motel 6. Over priced. Mattresses soft compared to similar motels.

Shower didn’t drain, TV/control didn’t work, non working light in bathroom for showering. There were long term guests that were disgusting , noisy, smoking. Room was very worn. Would not stay again.

check in was amazing. staff was very hardworking and friendly.

Usually when I stay at a Motel 6, I expect a no frills but clean room. This wasn't the case with this property. I asked for a non smoking room and I thought I was going to get lung cancer the smoke was so bad in my room. I called down to the front desk to fix this. They said they would send someone up to address the issue but nothing happened. It was so late when we got in that I had no choice but to stay. The next day, our clothes smelled like a dirty ash tray. People were actually living in rooms at this location. The balcony was filthy, not to mention BBQ grills and patio chairs strewn all over outside. The floors in our room were filthy, the microwave looked like a burrito exploded in it.

We do like to stay here. Staff super cool.
Only complaint was the cigarette buys all over the place. Not nice to come to your room to check in and butts everywhere all over the ground.

The check in staff was amazing and professional. The morning needs to be more attentive to the job and not friends on the cell phone, especially when guest are checking out.

Horrible property. Booked by mistake. Didn’t realize there were 3 motel 6 properties in Missoula.
Night clerk was a hot mess. Should have left but was exhausted.

Bad experience at this hotel. Checking in was not bad, but I agree that Anthony is a bit off and talks too much about his personal life. He also said the Motel is locally owned and not corporate. As a business owner I would definitely want more for my business than what was represented this weekend! When we finally got up to our room someone else was standing in front of the door saying they were being put in it too! Mass confusion there but due to the Griz game there were alot of check ins all at once!! Stained sheets on one bed. Just gross!! Thank goodness there was 2! That alone had me wanting to leave but no other available rooms to rent anywhere!! The prices due to the game $164.00 for 1 night. Yep at Motel 6!! Prices today $89.00! Talk about gouging!! It was a birthday/anniversary gift for my husband!! We saved all summer to go and drive from Helena!! Absolutely no soap!! Not a smidgen! The bathtub looked like some bleach would do it good! Floors too! Just not clean looking. The A/C unit sounded like a jet at takeoff! Finally shut it off and had to deal with the heat!! Never could get the WiFi to work. Called to complain and was told they have no hot water to wash the sheets!! Our room had warmish water. Bleach and soaking and cold water get stains out. I know. I've done it! Take them to a laundromat then!! For what they just charged for one night for a booked motel I think they can afford it!! Not a good experience. Only good thing is it's right across from the stadium

The check-in process was horrendous! I was 8th in line and we stood and watched multiple people get assigned rooms already assigned to guests. Those guests showed back up in the office indicating there was already stuff in the rooms!!!! This is a HUGE SECURITY ISSUE for me!!! When we finally got to our room, we had no towels!! The ONLY reason we ever stay here is convenient parking and access to Griz games, otherwise…DON’T DO IT!

There was nothing that I really liked at all. It was very slow and un-organized upon check-in. There were no towels in my room, the shower curtain rod was broken and wreaked of pot. The other room the bathroom door was broken and couldn't be shut. And this one stunk as well of pot.
1.0
The room lock was not sturdy and the bolts were only half screwed in, the door itself was not stable and let a cold draft in. One of the queen beds had bedding that looked like they were balled up ie wrinkly. The shower blasted scalding hot then freezing cold then scalding hot then freezing cold. The ac/heater sounded like a airplane taking off all night. Street racers distrupted any sort of sleep. Then when the neighbor showered at 430 it sounded like he was in our room.

It did the trick! No shampoo or conditioner- no dryer!
Noisy and my tv had no channels.

I made my reservation through Expedia. While on the ride I got a notice that my card was charged by the hotel when I wasn’t even there. When I got to the Hotel they didn’t have my reservation, even though they charged my Credit Card. I spent over an hour on the phone with Expedia trying to get it straightened out. It wasn’t resolved. The hotel just charged me again but gave me a discount. They said I would be refunded the other charge. I spent more time on the phone trying to get the refund. Two days later still no refund. I called Motel 6 again and they said they would refund me the discounted charge in 48hrs. So not only did they make me waste hours of my time, Motel 6 took back the discount they gave me for their error. Terrible customer service and accountability. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again

Front desk service was very friendly and good to talk to after a few days on the road. Room interior looked brand-new.

This property was dirty, disgusting, and terrible! The staff were just as great as the property. When we got to the hotel, they couldn’t find our Orbitz reservation, and it took an hour for them to sort it out, making us late for our dinner reservation. When we got to our room, it didn’t look like it had been cleaned, and the hand towel had human snot dried to it. We will not stay here or at another motel 6 again. The staff also openly spoke about politics and was rude to other people around me.

No soap, no shampoo, no Kleenex, no clothes hanger rod. Staff was friendly. Manager was delightful. Convenient location.
Expedia on line showed nearly $200 per night, so we were mortified with the rooms when we arrived.
HOWEVER our card was charged at $47 per night, which makes this a reasonable value!!!

Not bad for Missoula outrageous prices.

nothing against homeless people, but when you have a few people who have set up camp in your parking lot and along your building, it isn't super inviting. No toilet paper in the bathroom, room wasn't ready hours past the check in time... pretty rough, but actually among the better motel 6 I've had to stay at.

The stay was good, nice hotel, wifi was not available in room

Decent service, moderately clean. definitely not worth the price though, Missoula hotel prices are ridiculous! This is a <$99 hotel. That would be a fair price.

Dirty linens and suspect patrons

The staff was awesome, but the hotel itself need some work. The faucet squeals when turned on high, remote cover is missing, just little things that add up.

If you want a filthy bathtub, no complmentary toiletries, not a replacement paper roll, no bath rug, a bed that will give you a back ache, only one towel for 2 guest, and a stark naked room, all for a mere $160 something, then be my guest! Employees were very nice at check in & deserve a 10 . EVERYTHING else was an F----!!!!

This property was in the midst of an ownership/staffing turnover. Everything was fine. We just needed a place to sleep for a few hours during a road trip. If we were going to stay longer, I would have called for some amenities (soap, trash bin liner).
