Wonderful Stay & Great Location!

First time staying in the Hotel Rooms. Very comfortable and roomy. Quiet as well.

The property was clean and well kept. There was a restaurant and other shops close by plus a golf course in the area.

Had a lovely stay at this clean peaceful, comfortable accomodation. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of activities available in the resort areas. Would return if able to come again.

Stayed before and was impressed. Lovely place to stay.

The cabin was like a dungeon, you needed to have lights on all the time. It was lacking any natural sunlight at all, no air flow. The towels were still damp from morning shower late in pm.
The room was brown ugly and bathroom was so tiny you need to leave room to dry yourself. Water was constantly dripping in bathroom. Wouldn't recommend and will not stay again.
WiFi was free public & unsecured no effort put to guest security of connection. I did notice that office at the Resort had a secured WiFi but guests, no such luck. The WiFi constantly cut out. Terrible.
Outside there was a leak in the water main with water pouring over road for the 3 days we were there. The place is tired, uncare for and dingy.

We enjoyed our stay at the tamar valley resort, the village area was excellent. A few areas that need a make over would be pool area and maybe upgrade the outdoor play area/ pirate ship. Other it was great, thanks

Swiss village chalet/villa’s atmosphere was great, nice and quiet, great walking around the resort ducks and wallabies friendly, indoor pool great. Restaurant very enjoyable.

Interesting property 15km from the Launceston CBD with plenty to look at - a Swiss village with some cafes and shops, mini golf, an indoor pool and a full size golf course. Ducks hang out around the accommodation area which is a novelty. The cabin was quite spacious with a full kitchen. It was well appointed though a little tired in places. Only a short drive to a supermarket so easy to cook meals or eat at the on-site restaurant. A charming place to stay a few days with the family.

Grindelwald is getting old and the Chalets need an overhaul. Staff are wonderful though and facilities are great for families.

The view from everywhere in the resort was excellent.
The room location was good but the room itself was very very old. Especially the toilet. Lot of visitors were coming into the section where the room was located, causing disturbance.
The wifi connectivity in the room was very very poor. It would drop off completely multiple times.
The outside maintenance team started the lawn mower at 7 in the morning. Not a sound you want to wake up to when you are on holidays.
The activities center was poorly managed. We hired the pedal boat and kayak and did not get ANY help from the team. Half the arcade games were not working.

It was a normal stay. We were stucked in a cabin that is suited for 2 people. Not even suitable for 2 children. It was small and congested to fit 4 people.

Outdated, the rooms need fully renovation, walls very thin and can hear everyone talking outside. Limited TV stations to just the basic, would expect movie or Netflix but not available. Room was not serviced very well as dirty cups not cleaned after service. Second day the service wasn’t complete when returning to room at 2pm, did manage to get clean cups and glasses. Restaurant tables and chairs all sticky with sanitizer, need to use table clothes and sand back all the furniture to remove the impregnated sanitizer. Menu is outdated with every poor selection, something from the 90’s. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We would like to give our opinion as follows
1. The cottages we stay were nice and cimfortable and the facilities were generally okay.
2. The dinner we took at the hotel was good, the foods were delicious, especially the two ladies who served us were great with smiling faces thar make us enjoyable.
3. We ordered 11 persons breakfast buffet because the pleasant experience of the dinner, but it came out terribly not only it charged us AU$29.9/@. The waiter said to us there was no buffet because insufficency of customer, the breakfast had only four choices to choose, we had no choice but accept, but the foods were terribly bad, all were over cooked the can't be ate and the services was a mess and totally unacceptable. It absouletely ruined our expectation of the stay.

Tired and outdated. Never again. The wifi was very poor and the tv was tiny and you couldn’t stream anything off the net. The bed was hard. The kitchen lacks kitchen items. You have a microwave and no microwave bowl to use, we had to go to Kmart and buy one. The kitchen sink was too small and you were unable to fit a big plate in there. There was no drainage when doing dishes and the water went everywhere, next to the sink there was a power point to plug in your kettle and toaster, right where all the water lays, an electric shock waiting to happen. The only bin was a tiny one and it was in the bathroom. The filters in the pool were filthy and the spa was out of order. To be honest I’ve stayed at better hostels and motels. The whole place is way outdated and needs a long over due make over. The money it cost is so not worth it. We were ment to stay 3 nights and we only stayed to. Everyone do your selfs a favour and don’t stay here.

I enjoyed staying here it was quiet and peaceful and had quite a unique Swiss flavour with individual Swiss cottages. The rooms were a reasonable size, and the bed comfortable. Accommodation was good value but the restaurant food was expensive and poor quality. I felt a lack of good management and thought this place had enjoyed better times, and was now a bit tired and outdated. The story of it's creation was quite special.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Bed extremely comfortable. Had buffet breakfast that was very satisfying.

Beautiful grounds surrounding the resort and nice Swedish themed village attaches.

There are ducks wandering around the resort, so duck poo on our shoes, couldn’t get a booking for tea until later, even though the tables were empty, then at 7pm the girl couldn’t find the booking, so she had to make a table up for us, took 15mins of waiting to be able to pay the bill, the tv in the room was placed in an awkward position and we couldn’t wat h it from the bed, I don’t think il stay there again, I was disappointed

Nicole, the receptionist was friendly and efficient. The room we got was clean.
The restaurant/ Bistro - Manager ( blonde hair lady) was not welcoming. We had to wait for a bit to be seated eventhough there was nobody in front of us.
Food was HORRIBLE. We had the Mediterranean pasta, it was past Al Dante, soggy and sweet. Only tomato paste and a few halved olvies. That was my Mediterranean pasta for lunch.
Dinner - my husband had the gnocci with beef. Gnocchi was not smooth at all. Instead it was thick and rubbery. I had the advertised meal of the day - Lamb Shanks in gravy. When it was served, my lamb shank looked like it had been boiled, and the gravy was chicken broth from a box mixed with corn starch to thicken it to make the gravy. Served with uncooked brocollini. Ive had Lamb Shanks many times before and never have i had it served up like it was at the restaurant/bistro at Tamar Valley, Grindewald Resort. It was incredible.
The cook/chef needs to take more pride in the food he cooks and serves up. If he can’t be bothered, then he needs to find another job. Last of not least, the staff at the resort are there not because they enjoy working there but its just a pay packet for them every end of month. Its not good for business if things don’t change. This is my experience. Will not be returning again.
Ive moved to the Country Villa to stay. So much better. Should have booked this first.

Having stayed there on a few occasions i still love the peacefulness of the resort, but the rooms are starting to need attention, The room we had a 3 bedroom villa 560/460 need a little bit of TLC.ther was a blown globe in the tastic, the bathroom door needed adjusting ,there was a 3/4'' gap at the bottomupstairs there was a patched up wall, that looked like it had tape stuck over the damage, the balconies need a good clean.,

overall good experiences, had a small one bedroom room, very small, but totally fine. Would have rated all higher, if a. a good cup of coffee, fresh, would have been in the room and more so, there was no lighting option for the porch ... very dark corner, had to rely on mob ph torch ...

So beautiful, totally surprised when I entered the little village shopping area. Reminds me of the Robin Hood era. I unfortunately tried really hard to get a turn in the spa pool, but no luck. On tues and thurs night there is an aqua class with loveliest locals. I was privileged enough to be able to join them. Lots of good vibes. I will be back, next time I will get into the spa with whoever is in it and start coughing hard. Hopefully they will leave and I can chill by myself. Thank u 🙏 for a great time!

Very nice stay, enjoyed all aspects, especially the heated pool 😊

Good, budget friendly place for a couple to spend a night. Not fancy, but adequate. Extra blanket needed a wash, so was unusable.

I recently took my daughter for her 13th birthday and got a lovely surprise when the room was filled with balloons, posters and a gift of chocolates!

Bathroom tiny. Not a room you would spend relaxing time.

Hardly any channels on tv. Noisy air con or something outside sounds like plane or helicopter.
Booked room with breakfast get to breakfast wasn’t on list lucky we had vouchers given to us.
Coffee from machine tasted awful.

Our stay was very enjoyable and the staff were very helpful and the dinning room was great.

I traveled for business. The room was dusty and had many cobwebs. Most definitely not for travelers afraid of spiders.
I felt itchy upon waking from the bedsheets.

Ideal for our group to stay. Some found their cabin/villa VERY tired & needing upgrading asap. Our room in the hotel was comfortable & well-appointed, but first night very cold - as unaware there were electric blankets fitted to the beds. Surprised there was no lift to the second floor!
