Service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. However the hotel didn't have a working air conditioner. Even though I stayed here in April, the temperatures were record high, when we asked the front desk why is the air conditioner not working we were told they only turn it on during "summer seasons", well we are in climate change which means warm seasons are expanding. Whoever owns this hotel, stop being stingy and TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER.

Great hotel, lovely and clean, very comfortable and stylish room and tasty continental breakfast. Literally around the corner from the Fisherman's Bastion and the Cathedral. A funicular railway takes you down the hill where you can walk to most places. The public transport system is excellent if you don't fancy walking.

The location of the hotel is great but they shouldn’t advertise on-site parking when there’s none. We were told to drive around to find parking spot or if we could only park far away from the hotel we could use public transportation to get back. See pictures in front of the hotel. I specifically picked the hotel because of the advertised on-site parking. It turned out to be false advertisement.

Amazing everything.

Wonderful location could use some work.

Wery good for summer or spring. However it was very cold with drafty windows during winter stay. Surrounding is amazing for walks (if weather permits)

We loved the location of this hotel. Very easy to walk to many sights as well as restaurant and souvenir shopping. Would definitely recommend

BEST PLACE IN BUDAPEST!!!
GIVE TOMMY AND ANGELA MORE MONEY! They are both amazing hard workers, and your hotel should be proud of them. Amazing staff! Great breakfast too. All you need, this place has.

The front desk attendant Szabi was excellent - set a very high level of customer service we have not experienced in other stays in Poland, Hungary and Austria. Gold star for his work ethic.
Property is nice and slightly off the beaten path but close to castle and stairs leading down to river. Nice breakfast and clean rooms. (Wasn’t too fond of having bed upstairs with toilet/bath downstairs but got over it after a couple of days.)

The reception staff were amazing, very helpful and engaging.
Property location was excellent close to all attractions in the Buda Castle area.

Near the St Mathias church and Buda Castle. Bus stop near-by. Historical building.

Great location.

The location was very convenient. Right next to Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle. The hotel was clean, staff was nice and breakfast was very good. If you don’t want to climb the stairs every day, using Bolt for people of 2-4 is a good option.

Lovely little hotel in a beautiful and quiet area not far from Fisherman’s Bastion. Room was spacious and comfortable and well appointed with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Hotel was clean, bright and airy with a small garden area. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety especially as I am coeliac and there were plenty of gluten free options and cross contamination was minimised by placing gluten free options ( brown and white bread, crisp breads and cereal) higher than other products, with many individually packaged. Well thought through. Fruit was extremely fresh as were cheeses and meats. A great hotel with extremely friendly helpful and pleasant staff in a great location. Benedict is worthy of mention, ensuring our spare bed was made up quickly in the duplex and spending time showing us where to go to find the sights, as well as serving us drinks in the garden on our arrival. A very welcoming guy. I will definitely be back next time I visit Budapest.

The room given to us was different from the picture. Not very clean. Horrible breakfast. Never seen breakfast these bad. Weak internet in my “executive room” and had some blind spot.

I have chosen to stay at this lovely property several times because of its location, large rooms, quiet surroundings, great breakfast choices, but also the entire staff!

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is on the Buda side of the river where the castle is and only a short walk from the castle and the fisherman's bastion. The Buda side is quiet and peaceful.
The rooms were clean and pleasant without being exceptional. Certainly nothing that would put you off staying here.
There is no evening restaurant, but the is a breakfast room for the morning. Breakfast was fairly limited, but you'll find something and the quality was good. Hot food is very limited with just some scrambled eggs and sausages.
There is no parking at the hotel. If you want to park nearby this is within the Historical District and you will be parking on the street. We found a space ok a couple of streets away, however I could easily imagine struggling to find one in the middle of the day. You take a ticket from the machine on entry into the historical area and the hotel will validate it before you leave. Prices were very reasonable for this.
Note that in the local area there are NO cheap restaurants. They are all very high end, the food was lovely and not overpriced for the quality, but you'll struggle to find a main course for under £20 per person.
If you download the public transport app you can get a group ticket for around £10 per group per day for unlimited bus, tram and metro use (note you all have to travel together) which we found excellent value and made it only 5 minutes to the Pest side of the river where there's more things to do

Great location closed to buda castle and some restaurants .
The room is very different from the photos they displayed on booking site and I was a bit disappointed .

Staff was friendly snd breakfast was good. Rooms look nothing like the pictures on here. As soon as we checked in, we noticed that our toilet had poop splatters in it. On the second day, the toilet seat came undone. The air conditioner didn’t cool (fan only), so we would wake up in a puddle of sweat. Tiles in the lobby were all stained. There is no way this property is a four-star hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a great position, we walked all over the city and had a great stay.

The hotel is in a very walkable area. Our room was clean but we did note that the safe did not work and the air conditioning didn’t work the first night. Overall the breakfast was varied and lots of food to eat.

Most prideful and helpful staff I have ever seen! Perfect location made me feel like I was staying in the middle of Budapest's history. Thank you!

Great location on Castle Hill which made it easy access to local transportation. Wonderful helpful friendly staff! Although under some renovations currently, this had no affect on our stay. We highly recommend this property and will plan to stay here during our next trip.

It was a perfect location to view some architectural beauties in Buda and Pest across the Danube, fabulous restaurants and perfect for walking or nearby transportation.

Nice hotel, albeit our room looked a little tired - good location for site seeing.

This was a really great spot for our first visit to Budapest. We had been traveling for 3 weeks so it was a delight to have this easy place to stay for a few nights.
My husband is a snorer so we booked separate rooms. He got a honey of a suite and I had the standard room which I thought was quite lovey—- and how much do I love being able to open a hotel window to get fresh air??!
The staff was quite professional but (candidly) low on suggestions. Nowadays with Google for everything, I guess front desk staff doesn’t need to be ready to make recommendations.
The hotel breakfast was nice and we loved walking just down the street to Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion, and Buda Castle.
We went off season and especially liked the Buda Side. Very pretty, not teeming with fellow tourists like on the Pest side.
The hotel room had bottles of water, razors, and nice sundries. It was a wonderful boutique hotel. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful area and hotel.

A 300 year old monastic property with modern amenities and a sweet little cloister garden for breakfast dining. A couple blocks from Fisherman’s Bastion, the most scenic part of Budapest. A Jamie Oliver restaurant about a block away but lots of other options. The castle district can be quirky to access so it pays to spend a few minutes getting familiar with the city bus system.

A lovely hotel in a superb part of the city with great views within 5-10 minutes walk of the hotel
Fairly close to public transport which was great for us!
Breakfast was good and staff always polite and welcoming
