We arrived super late amd staff was incredible. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was ready and hot, elevator was a little sketchy but overall excellent stay.

The hotel it self was well maintained in general/ the elevator was out during the first day of our stay which was inconvenient due to the amount of luggage we had. Not a huge deal for me but I did feel bad for the senior citizens who were ahead of me and placed on the fourth floor. After helping them with their luggage, we took ours up and got settled. The room was clean, spacious and the AC units got it cold quickly. Our main concern was with the evening front desk clerk who continued to try to run our baseball team group out of the lobby. We had a group of around 20, kids and adults and we were using the area to socialize and play games. She asked us to leave at 10pm, due to noise. When we went to see if you could hear us far down the hall where the few first floor rooms were there was no noise. It became obvious the noise was just too much for her. She made us feel
Unwelcomed. We offered to go into the meeting room- that was a no, the outdoor pool area was closed after 9. There were no other available spaces because I assure you had we all been in the big suite we would’ve certainly have been a disturbance. We chose to stay at this hotel as a team so we could use the bonding time outside the game to grow closer and Megan certainly put a damper on that. Everyone else we interacted with here on staff was kind and welcoming.

It took 30 minutes for someone to meet us at the front desk. What about security of the hotel or guests?!!! Waited around with multiple guest until she showed up. Once she showed up we got a key. Three tries and the key didn’t work. Once she came up there with the master key it could be opened to find out someone was in the room sleeping. Awkward moment and not something I have ever experienced in a hotel.
Horrible trip and we won’t be staying here ever again.

Well do t stay here. Very rude check in and overall disrespectful front desk. She couldn’t even get off the phone while check in. Did not bother at all to tell us where the room is on the property.

It was a good, clean hotel, nice shower, great water pressure. The bed was a bit hard but not too terrible.
Good location, in the parking lot with fast food places.
We’ll stay again when we’re back in the area.

The location is convenient, it’s right in the middle of the busy intersection of Brownwood really close to WalMart, which is across the street from the best restaurant Underwood’s. While we were there, the elevator did not work properly, the room itself could’ve used cleaning more there was grime on the lid of the water bucket, and none of the ice machines worked except on the first floor. The free breakfast was mediocre. Would probably not stay again, the staff was friendly though and that is always a plus.

Didn’t like the joint between the tile and carpet transition. Painful to walk on.

As soon as you step off the elevator, you get knocked over by the odor of pet urine. All 4 in our party had headaches due to the horrible smell. No more La Quinta for us after this one.

Could not check in until after 3:00 they said they had no rooms ready. The staff was rude, they have only one person that can operate the system for check in and check out. When checking out the person at the desk was not that person so I could not get a receipt the amount my credit card was charged was more than it should have been. There are so many choices of hotels in this area I will stay somewhere else next time in Brownwood.

Poor overall. No one at the desk when we arrived. We had to pick up a phone that alerted we were here to check in. This took 15 minutes.
Our shower handle was broken and someone came to fix it. This did not solve the problem. When we left our room, the shower was still running waiting lots of hot water. I advised 2 ladies from house keeping that our shower was broken/still running.
I tried to check out at the desk and discuss the shower problem. No one was there and no one came for over 10 mins. I could not wait any longer and had to leave.

First room smelled of dog urine we did not bring our dog so they changed our room to first floor

They ask if you have special instructions. I told them I needed 1st floor. I get anxiety riding elevator. But because I had 10 lb dog I would have to pay $75 more on top of $25 I already paid. That was crazy. I will not stay there again. The breakfast was not as good as other places we have stayed.

Clean. The only thing was that the elevator was broken and we were only offered the 4th floor. My mom is almost 70. Stairwell had carpet that was dirty.

Staff worked hard but they appear to be incredibly understaffed- the woman who appeared to be the manager was running food out of the kitchen as they ran low on breakfast items. There was nobody at the desk when I checked out with a sign to dial a number of the desk phone at the front desk but every time I saw her she was running like crazy with one task or another that she was performing

The stay was good until we found bed bugs in the bed my daughter was sleeping in.

My room is spacious which is important since I spend most of my time working there. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and responsive. I do wish the breakfast offerings were more health-oriented, but, it is free. The only criticism I have is the nightly rate fluctuates too much from one night to the next.

Overall, our stay was good. There was a problem with crickets around the third floor ice machine but apparently the area had been sprayed because most were dead or dying. One bug we encountered in the shower however was very much alive. A rather large roach which was immediately dealt with. I informed the front desk and was told the whole room would be resprayed before the room is rented again. There was a charge on by receipt I did not understand. It was for $27.96. When I asked about it I was told it’s a facility fee for using the pool, fitness center etc. none of which I used. I was not informed of this fee and find it rather ridiculous. Why not just charge the fee to those who actually use those areas? I guess just another way to bleed the traveling public. Other then these areas our stay was pleasant and the staff very polite. We will likely stay there again.

Elevator smelled like urine. Room smelled like covered up barf. Stairway covered in crickets and smelled like urine. Breakfast was very limited food. Had to leave one day early and they wouldn’t refund. If you change plans a lot I don’t recommend this location. Also had construction goin on until 9:30 at night and started at 6:30 in the morning. Rooms worth 70$ a night max not 110.

This place was overrun with cockroaches. There were 3 visible at the checkin desk, and several more visibles on the walk from the front desk to the elevator. Staff ignored them. Taking the stairs revealed 25 plus cockroaches, some dead, some alive.

I tried calling the hotel 3 times before finally getting to talk to someone the morning of my arrival. I was trying to see if I could check into my room about an hour early. They told me it would be a $25 fee to check in early, so I decided to just waste time until the 3pm check in. Once I arrived there was no one at the front desk so I had to pick up a phone on the desk in order to get someone to come check me in.
That evening when I returned to my room the lights in the bathroom would not turn on, but with it being late and I was tired, I just went to bed.
As I left the next morning, going to the desk to check out, no one was available so I simply left.
Not a place that I plan on returning to. There are plenty of other options in the Brownwood area.
