Le Lagon is an excellent value hotel. Our room had water views. Gym facilities are bit dated but useable. Pool is a bit small but heated so nice to relax after a long day. Spa and Sauna were great. Restaurant only open for breakfast but there are lots kf options nearby. Hotel has bicycle to hire but I found price is a bit high for half day or full day and bikes need to be returned by 6pm.

While the area itself was pleasant, my overall experience left much to be desired. The hotel's shortcomings, particularly regarding the buffet breakfast and customer service, greatly impacted my stay.
I found it to be lacking in quality and variety. The options provided were not up to par, and it left me feeling disappointed. Considering the price of the stay, I expected a more satisfying dining experience. I was extremely disappointed when I discovered that a glass of almond/soy milk – priced at a staggering 600 Pacific Francs (approximately 8 AUD) – was required because of my milk allergy. To put this into perspective, a carton of the same milk can be purchased at a local shop for just 420 francs. Furthermore, one incident involving a staff member stood out to me. While attempting to make myself a cup of coffee, I encountered a rude and physically aggressive staff member. The language barrier may have caused this accident. Unfortunately, most of the staff members did not speak or understand English. This made it difficult for me to communicate and address any concerns I had during my stay.
Another problem was with the room assignment. We specifically booked a quiet room, as stated on both the hotel's website and on Expedia. However, upon arrival, we were givena room on the third floor, right above the jacuzzi area. This turned out to be a noisy and always crowded area, which was not what we had expected or desired.

This place is only a 3 star motel but falsely advertised as an excellent hotel! Very disappointing as the place is old and musty. Also very uncomfortable bed.

Unfortunately at the moment lot of building and street construction work around the hotel is going on ... However service and personnel is 5 Star!

Beds are too soft. There was roadwork upgrade right outside the hotel during our stay, unfortunately! It was dusty and noisy too. Staffs were friendly and very helpful!

The only negative for us was the fact that the street in front of the hotel was completely torn up and under construction making it too noisy to enjoy the balcony and difficult to access in our rental car. The neibourhood is very nice with an excellent choice of restaurants a short walk away, and a lovely beach promenade - unfortunately the beach walkway and the adjacent road were also construction zones with many parts blocks off!

Reception staff - Caroline was great. very friendly crew at the hotel. Location was good, close to the sea and some good eating and drinking venues.
Unlimited wifi was a great plus!

The staff were amazing. Extremely helpful and friendly. They assisted us with lots of inquiries about local attractions and tolerated our poor grasp of French! Nothing was too much trouble. Le Lagon was in walking distance to the beach, shops, public transport and lots of restaurants. Very enjoyable stay.

The location was very good and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was served to the room and the temperature of the spa was perfect. Highly recommend!

All the staff were very friendly & helpful, the hotel itself, was okay though bathroom needs a bit of upgrade, the pool area was getting maintenance, it didn’t really bother us as the weather wasn’t great, overal handy and close to everything

Best value for money hotel in Anse Vata. Close to restaurants, shops, bus stop. In the middle of tourist area. Super helpful and friendly staff. Can't ask for more.

Staff are very couteous, friendly. Special thanks to housekeeping for providing us fresh towels daily and cleaning the room. Would have been nice if the restaurant had vegetarian options. Will definitely recommend staying at Le Lagoon.

The hotel is well located near bus stop and the best boulangerie! Staff are very friendly esp Thomas to help with bookings. Some of the fixtures not working well but enjoyed the pool and spa.

The property advertised a kitchenette. this was a microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, not an oven or hob as I expected.

Good location, friendly staff, easy to get around by bus, bus stop just nearby, when crossing roads, look left then right if you come from a country that drives on the left as New Caledonia is French territory and drives on the right side of the road. Many shops and eateries around. Good infrastructure.

I was in a garden room. It was lovely, spacious and had a great balcony where I had my morning coffee and pain au chocolat and listened to a chorus of birdsong. The local bakery was a two minute walk from Le Lagon. Hotel staff were wonderfully kind and helpful at all times.

Good location 3 minute walk to the beach. friendly staff who provided great tips and assistance with things to do. The included breakfast is only bread and croissants.

We had a nice two night stay here. Room was clean and tidy and location is good, a walk to restaurants in the nearby (3 minute walk) Hilton complex, or around past the Aquarium there is a strip of restaurants (about 20 minute walk). Also a small market about 2 minute walk.

A great location and friendly enough staff. Great bakery just done the road. Great waterfront walks and good swimming beaches. Rooms ok, love having a microwave and some crockery. Bathroom could do with an upgrade but overall would be happy to stay there again.

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to both town and Anse Vata beach as we wanted to be able to explore both areas. Our room was smaller than expected and our balcony mostly unuseable as Anse Vata Road is very busy all day and night. The pool area is cute but tiny compared to the online pictures. Our Wifi never worked properly for our entire 5 day visit and the staff while dutifully taking notes about our issues were never able to fix it. Amusingly, our wifi at Le Meridien Ile des Pins was seamless - so clearly Le Lagon needs to find a different provider. The hotel is an easy walk to the beach and several little restaurants and shops. The weather was not great for our stay so we were unable to visit all the islands in the lagoon which was disappointing, its not an easy place to be when the weather is bad as there is not much to do inside in Noumea. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly and while small the facility is well kept. We did not eat in the on site restaurant and preferred to eat at local cafes. In my opinion this hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get - no water views, tiny rooms, small pool complex etc., non existent wifi - overall we would probably not choose to stay here again.

We were happy with this hotel. Staff were awesome. Close to the beach and restaurants. Wi-fi was poor. Would of loved a bath, but it wasn’t a great looking bath. Needed re coating. Otherwise to room was very clean and had everything we needed

Everything was amazing. Great rooms and perfect location to the beach, restaurants, and bars. The staff was extremely helpful. I recommend asking for Chavely at the reception desk. She was very helpful and can recommend beautiful places to visit.
