Good location. Friendly staff. No room service provided. Good breakfast included. Language barrier with most staff.

Their laundry service is fast compared to the rest of the Egyptian hotels we’ve stayed at where they air dry our laundry.

At check-in, they had no record of my reservation even though Expedia had confirmed the reservation and a reservation number generated. They asked me to provide the confirmation email. Luckily I had one confirmation email in my saved mail. Next, they said I had the option to pay at check-in or at check-out, I chose the latter which in usual in the US.
I was then informed that WiFi is available without charge only if it’s used in the hotel lobby. However, should I chose to use it in my room where I spend my time and would need it most, i would have to pay for it.
On the third day of my stay, I was stopped in the lobby and was informed that the decision to pay at checkout was changed and that payment was required now. I presented my credit card to pay the bill but they said that their cred card processor was not working, so I then tendered cash for the full amount. I just assumed that they did not have cash on hand and wanted some immediately which was the reason for the abrupt change of policy.
On my final day at the hotel, checkout was at 12 noon but the woman at the desk found it fit to call me at 11:45 even though I was not in violation of the check-out time of 12 noon.
Travellers expect the honest experience of other travellers to assist them in their decision making (I know I do). Therefore, with that in mind my advise is to stay away from the Susanna hotel at Luxor.

Very beautiful hotel. In front of Luxor Temple, you can see it from your room, or in the breakfast floor (top floor). In the city's center, close to many restaurants, shops, very ease to find. Helpfull staff.

room is small and can be noisy from the traffic below but hotel is in great location. Close to all major attractions and markets.

This hotel was in the perfect location for a visit to all the sites in Luxor. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel wasn't fancy. If you're looking for a simple place to stay, I would recommend this.
The breakfast area has a wondeful view of the temples and sunset over the Nile and the pool would have been great if we had brought out swimsuits!

Next to Luxor Temple, great view and good base for Luxor if only a short stay and arriving/departing via train (easy walk to station).
Staff slightly too pushy on trying to sell a balloon ride (although not untypical for Luxor) and a bit haphazard in the way they dealt with checking in and taking payment. However, the West Bank tour booked through the hotel was fairly good. The guide took a little while to warm up after we instructed where we wanted to visit (which differed from where he expected to take us) but gave good information.
Note taxes/fees of 25% are not included in the booking charge on Expedia (would be good if Expedia pointed this out clearly when booking).

The room is far too small, and it claimed to have wifi access, but in fact, it only has wifi in reception, not in the room. Sort of convenience location, near the temple, but window facing the street, very noisy.
The only highlight I would say is the balcony on the roof, nice to have breakfast there in the morning to overlook the Nile.
