Having stayed in a few similar hotels near train stations in Japan, I found the rooms here just a bit smaller and not in quite as good condition as others (peeling wallpaper, windows won't open more than an inch, air conditioning not working). Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming, but I would not stay here again unless there was a renovation.

The best factor was the location. The worst was its room space, too small. Other factors were Ok.

Located in a central area close to the train station

Great location. It's right by the station and it's close to Hondori. Room was clean. Only thing I didn't like was that the power outlet between the beds has an annoying piece that sticks out and because of it, I couldn't plug my phone charger into it because my power block was too big for it.

Very close to Hiroshima Station. But because a hotel is actually located behind the other building (= not facing toward Hiroshima Station), it may be difficult to find it if you're not familiar with the area. You can see another APA Hotel from Hiroshima Station, but it is not APA Hotel Hiroshima Ekimae. It is actually APA Hotel Hiroshima Ekimae Ohashi (= different hotel).

First room was noisy but they moved me the next day to a quiet room with such low water pressure that all the shower could do was dribbble.

The bathroom is tiny, even for Japan, more similar to a small boat’s bathroom than anything on land.
There are better affordable options close to the station.

The building was rather old, but the twin room I stayed with my daughter was unexpectedly roomy( especially compare with the hotels in Tokyo), and I would say it was really nice for the price.

Located very near the train sation. It’s perfect for tourist who want to see Hiroshima. Rooms are small but have everything and very clean.

If you have to stay at an APA hotel in Hiroshima, go to the new one across the river from here. This property is old and tired and cramped (even by APA standards, which are walk-in closet sized to begin with). The newer properties this chain offers are much better (for the same price). Hallways are dim and unlit. As you open the window to get some fresh air, the sewage smells wafting in from the river are the last straw. Close to Hiroshima station. As always for Japan, staff is crisp and polite.

You get what you pay for. Bath is positively tiny. You hear your neighbors coming back late. Hotel works if you're not staying longer than a day (as salary men do when they miss their trains) but not a great spot for longer stays.

We got corner rooms, therefore spacious. Our refrigerator didn't work, so they changed rooms the next night. It's relatively close to the train station, with shopping close by as well.

Had two rooms, one room had window which could bot be opened. Its near the station but slight difficult to find. Food in breakfast did not have much choices. I stayed in 3 APA hotels in this trip and this probably was the worst. There was another APA across the river but that would require some kind of transfer in a taxi.

Clean, friendly and great location but found the pillows too flat and the breakfast was a bit disappointing. I dont like scrambled eggs and I would have preferred boiled.
