One night stay in Kilkenny, and this hotel is both nicely placed and nicely equipped. The only thing I would do differently next time is to book direct for a better deal now that I know more about the place.

Lovely clean and comfortable room. The girl on the desk in arrival was very friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely night.

From being received on arrival, to checking out at the end of our stay we were particularly impressed with how accommodating and attentive the staff were, including those that service the rooms. We were made to feel very welcome and all of our needs were met. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of Kilkenny with excellent options for both shopping and socialising - we will stay at the Pembroke Hotel again.

the Pembroke hotel in kilkenny is a great hotel for a short break in kilkenny,the rooms are cosy, the ambience and feel of the hotel from the staff to the facilities is great and for me as a solo traveller it ticked all the right boxes.

Our first night in Ireland - couldn’t have picked a better place. Accompanying in every way. The attached restaurant was too notch, the food amazing. Don’t forget to order the hash browns. You’ll thank me later.

The first room we were given was horrible & needed significant repair. For instance the TV didn’t work the coffee maker was broken, only had 1 chair etc. The second room was ok, but not of superior value. The saving grace was Darine

Well-run hotel in the centre of Kilkenny. Extremely convenient for touring this historic town. Hotel was comfortable and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. However, the restaurant was very disappointing. We were looking forward to dinner there, but the male waiter treated us with indifference, although we were among a very small number of people dining. Some sort of air-conditioning unit was malfunctioning (we assume) and the background noise was pretty awful in the outside dining area. This was not what one would expect from a good restaurant. The food was good, but unexceptional - but maybe we were overly impacted by the service and noise.

We can see the Kilkenny Castle from our hotel room! The breakfast is amazing and the staff are so friendly. The location is within walking distance to all attractions. Will come back again.

A great find in middle of Kilkenny City that was only 1 min walk to Castle, which my bedroom looked out on. Exceptíonally friendly ataff throughtout hotel. Room and bathroom were spotless

Loved our stay. The hotel has private parking for guests just behind the property. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, especially the healthy juice shots. Very convenient to downtown area for walking to shops and restaurants.

Very central location & nice hotel.
Breakfast was a little underwhelming - you order everything from the table which took time & not ideal with young kids.
Bar food was lovely & most staff were very friendly

Loved staying here. Right in the center of the action close to the castle and visible from the room. We were able to go out at night and did not need transportation. Really enjoyed the pubs, restaurants and nightlife - all walking distance. The room was snug but clean. The gated self-parking onsite was great and able to come and go.

Perfect hotel, Perfect location, Perfect staff, Perfect Breakfast, great bar and restaurant.
Only one small niggle, we stayed for two nights and the room was not serviced, told by reception, room service is by request only, we asked for fresh towels, tea, coffee etc, whilst it was immediately taken care of, we do feel it should be part of a standard hotel service or at least make sure clients are advised in advance, so we can ensure it happens.

The staff was very nice on check in and we were able to park for free nearby. The hotel is really more like a three star, and not the four-star that is advertised. Also, there really is no air-conditioning. We had to get a fan to be able to sleep in the room. The area around the hotel is very scenic and has lots of pub dining places and cafés and is it easy walk to the castle.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Kilkenny. It was close to everything and was only a 10-minute walk from the train stations. Rooms are modern and very well appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is clearly expensively fitted out, quite plain in its aesthetic, with sizable bedrooms though the ceilings are low. The showers do not work very well and are not power showers. The bathroom was somewhat chilly with a stone floor – a bit cold for the Irish climate. The lighting in the bedroom is somewhat austere. Breakfast was quite good.
