Very nice and comfortable room

Booked for convenient location, but surprised to find the room was quiet and clean, serviced daily.

Shower stopped working. Poor condition of room. Bed seemed to be sloping!!.
Tired hotel. Good location but that's about it.

Walls were paper thin. Sheets were dirty. Doorbell was going through the night. Conversations were loud on reception at 4 am. Very disappointed and didn’t feel safe there.

The room was really small. had to ask for towels. tv small and controller broke. would not stay there again.

Room we stayed in needed a good deep clean, under the beds were thick dust. Walls had marks all over them and holes in the bathroom door.
We were only sleeping here for one night though. Would not stay again unfortunately.

The most basic and small room ever with the double bed pushed up against the side wall and the walls had mould on it. It also had a dangerous back door that opened up to steep steps without rails or lights that led down to a concrete slab and that door didn't lock. The shower was that small that we couldn't close the screen door. Do not book this hotel.

Nice quiet top floor room clean tidy only issue was the broken shower door but even that wasn’t a biggy
3.0
The room was basically clean, marks on walls and the kettle was a bit dusty.
The gentleman on reception helped me upstairs with my case.
Noon checkout would be good.
Storage space good and lots of sockets.

The hotel is basic and could do with updating but perfectly adequate for my needs. The location is excellent for Kings Cross and Euston stations.

Really, the only thing that this property had going for it was the location (near the train station as we had an early morning train). The room was cramped and run down. The toilet seat was precarious. There was constant bright light and noise outside our window all night long. And, the price was higher than any other lodging we stayed at in the UK (all of which were nicer). We will not be repeat customers.

Don’t ever go there it’s better to spend some more and live somewhere else

One word. ANTS.

If I knew how bad this place was before I booked it I would never have considered it as a option. The only attraction was location. When revisiting my options in the area for only a few dollars for there where so many better hotels. Probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in all my years of travel. When we asked to change rooms, we we told there was no options. This was a lie as we showed them the Expedia site. They reluctantly change our room eventually after much drama.

We stayed here just for one night and arrived late at night. If we will be alone and not with tired kids we would leave right away. The room was underground, extremely small and felt unsafe so we actually blocked the door with suitcases. The four of us weren’t able to stand in the room with our two carry on suitcases due to lack of space. I cannot imagine how it supposed to fit four adults with bags.

Good hotel for short stay nearby station

This place is awful. No idea how the rating is a high as it is. My room was a converted section of the rear entrance. The window was an old PVC door with holes in it. The walls and ceiling had damp yet the room was baking as there was no AC.

Stains on the towels.ask for a private bathroom not got.not shower gel.this place was a mess.

Towels were rendered pointless as the taps and shower didnt work. (Room 15)
£130 for a room without working facilities is a bit steep, denied any refund too.

Recent stay was very disappointing - i was in a basement room, which it seems was next to the boiler equipment. Due to the cold weather this was working hard and was noisy enough to stop me sleeping properly. Also the basement area had a damp feel and a musty smell to it.
Was glad to get home for a good nights sleep.

I do not often write reviews for hotels, but I feel that I need to write one for this hotel to help others avoid staying here. My wife and I arrived after the check-in time to be greeted with a locked door and a 20 minute wait outside. We were eventually let in and helped by a receptionist that questioned why we booked the room that we did and not a different type of room. We finally get situated in the room, just to find that one of the towels had an unsightly brown stain coating a portion of it. There were ants constantly walking around the floor and even the beds. The walls are so thin that we were woken up very early to house keeping slamming adjacent doors. We assumed that the noisy morning was a one time thing and we simply shrugged it off. The next morning at 3am, we again were woken up to a group of people screaming and again slamming doors. It seemed that the receptionist was simply chatting with them and not telling them to keep quiet. At 9am, the same group was in the hallway and again having a chat with the receptionist. They were even louder than earlier and the doors kept on slamming. My wife and I could not get out of there quick enough. Truly feel that we should receive a refund for this awful experience. So sad to ruin our trip

Simple clean room for one with small en suite. Good value

No frills, a satisfactory bed for the night and en-suite.

I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay. Everyone on reception were very warm and attentive, the room (although on the second floor so needing to climb 4 flights of stairs) was small but extremely comfortable and clean as was the shower room. The location very close to Kings Cross station was very convenient. I’d definitely stay there again.

Great location and good clean rooms. Staff so lovely, would stay again.

Cracking location, friendly staff. Comfy bed. No frills, this is a perfect cheap and cheerful place to stay very close to King’s Cross station (literally 2 minute walk) we checked in at midnight and it was no trouble. Don’t expect the Savoy and you’ll be well away. Definitely will use again next time!

Lovely, very helpful staff. Room smallish, but very clean and had an ensuite with shower with good hot water pressure.
Very close to St Pancras, so excellent for Eurostar.

Be careful when booking! The name is very similar to another much better hotel around the corner. The people were very nice but the condition of the room was poor -walls dirty, floor warped, bathroom barely functional. Location is great for anyone. If they hadn't brought me a fan (ine that didn't have a safety cover) I would not have stayed

We used this for easy distance to Eurostar, early departure. Served that purpose with ease. So ideal for that purpose.

Stay was ok. Rooms very small but clean and very warm but they offered a fan for the room. It was very close to kings cross st pancras eurostar. It was a bit seedy but ok. Hotel was bearable beds good. Shower a bit tiny but hot.

Check In timing needs sorting out. Hotels dot com say 1300 Check In time, not so say hotel, 1430 onwards as room not ready.Girl on Reception desk didnt even offer any apology when whown the clear check in timings advertised by Hotels dot com but did graciously allow us to leave our luggage at the hotel whilst my friend and I had to go off for a few hours before being able to check into our room. Room was cleaned once during stay when our rubbish bag was removed - hardly every day housekeeping we had been led to believe. (Suitcase left on bed due to lack of space in room so accept bed could not be remade but shower room could have been cleaned). Shower room clean on arrival, toilet had been bleached prior to arrival. Shower in room unusable, floor / base had deep crack / gouge in it plus shower Z Screen broken on bottom hinge and bottom slider making it unsafe to use. Reported to hotel at time of stay - did not see any Managers whilst there. Lack of power points within room, Hotel had a 4 way multi socket extension lead plugged into a wall mounted double mains socket located in wardrobe, shelf mounted kettle was then plugged into this 4 way lead but would mean leaning over the bed to reach the kettle, not ideal if 2 in room and other person in / on the bed. Toilet seat loose also. Was NOT IMPRESSED with my stay and having to strip wash at a sink with no plug every time I wished to freshen up in my room during my 3 night stay.

One word sums it up: Filthy. It clearly was not cleaned thoroughly, it was a spider on the wall and a creaky door to the bathroom. There was only one good thing about the hotel; the location.
