Step back into time and enjoy a unique experience. Wonderfully restored mansion and beautiful grounds. What a great break from the usual modern day cookie cutter hotels. The service was excellent and staff extremely friendly and attentive to what you might need to make your stay a treat.

Host (Dave) was very hospitable and helpful. The breakfast was "top shelf." The B & B, however, is showing its age - and could use some cosmetic updates. We love the character and history of the place, and that takes the overall ranking up a notch.

Had a great two night stay. Room was awesome and the breakfast in the morning was good. The potatoes and the grits were to die for. Overall the Inn may need a little touchup here and there but shoot, it's over a hundred years old. Staff and food was great.

Great place to stay, didn't get a chance to have breakfast since they only serve from 8-10 and we had to leave at 7. It's a very nice place and the balcony view is beautiful though

The Shahrzad suite we got was very beautiful, but had not been updated and smelled old. They should work more on the upkeep of the property as it is such a beautiful property with so much potential. There were some chaufs and an table with cigarette butts right in front of our suites intrance door which was not pleasant.
At breakfast the waiter kept saying that our breakfast was complimentary as if we had not already paid for it with the room and made us uncomfortable! They only had coffee and no hot tea. And the grounds were not kept up. The gazebo was dirty and the fringes had fallen off and there was repairs coing on in the main house where we had breakfast and was super noisy with workers going in and out.

Charming in Hammond just a 3 minute drive to downtown Hammond. Amazing breakfast thanks to the Butcher and Baker. Best Croissants I've ever had and the Avocadeo toast was insanely good. Other folks said the sausages were the best they have ever had. Stayed in the Pompadour room which was quite large. Comfy bed and lovely antiques. The bathroom was large and a bit of a let down (looked like a Home Depot renovation) but everything worked well. There was no soaps or shampoos but luckily I brought my own. Very friendly inn-keeper. He doesn't live there but can be contacted via cell phone #. As a single traveling female I felt safe there. Would stay there again in a heartbeat and Hammond is such a food town. Don't miss the Saturday morning farmers market. Fabulous Yoga Studio nearby called Downtown Yoga.

The shower in our room did not work very well. It was hard to get hot water. Other than that it was a lovely inn.

Second time staying at the Inn and it was just as lovely as our first time around. We stayed in the Oriental suite this time. The Cottage Suites are a little more secluded, but each room is fun and unique. Lovely continental breakfast or their new updated Brunch!

Lovely experience! We enjoyed our stay in the Evangeline room! Very relaxing, comfortable, and quiet. I’d love to stay there again someday! Our only downside was our room did not have a shower - but a huge tub instead. Not a big deal - I should have asked that in advance. I’d still recommend!

Our first time at a b&b. For the price of a holiday inn we got to stay in a very cool “destination” experience. I chose it because my wife and I like browsing through antique shops. This was like spending the night in one (without the musty odor). Bathroom was more modern. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed seeing the rest of the house in the morning light. Celebrity pictures were cool. I told my wife she could tell her friends she slept in Kevin Costner’s bed but please explain he wasn’t in it at the time 😁.

This cute little place has the privacy of the country, but you are right in the city. The rooms were clean and well maintained. I would definitely visit again next time I am down this way.

Don’t expect much. Trust the reviews you read. Keurig on second floor in hallway for all rooms , “ Did not Work “. Breakfast is nothing special, scrambled eggs , sausage patty and croissant.coffee or juice. Basically Holiday Inn lobby Breakfast. So, for the price you will pay here for a room? I would not have high expectations. If you give it a shot, walk around the outside and look at the weeds, uncut grass and junk pile in the back. If your 1st time to try a B&B? I would not recommend this one as a first. There are really Nice Bed &Breakfasts around the area where you will say “ Let’s plan on coming back here “ . I doubt this one will inspire those feelings!!!

This property is amazing! It is a historic-well maintained southern mansion. I had no idea that some celebrities stayed here as well- Woody Harlison, Kevin Cosner, and Hugh Jackman to name a few!
