Check in was easy and welcoming. However, the keycard did not work and I called reception and then I had to go back downstairs for them to actually register the keycard. The facilities were good with a nice and spacious gym and pool with a refreshing water machine to drink at your disposal. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in this hotel but not much around the area. The most disappointing thing would have had to have been the breakfast service. I ordered room service and altogether it had taken an hour and a half to arrive with all of the items. First, it was delayed, I guess due to high demand, but then a lot of the items were missing which they failed to tell me about. I had to call again and remind them that they had forgotten items (bread basket, pastries, mushrooms, fresh fruit and muesli) they came back with bread and pastries and the guy on the phone said they had ran out of muesli (not even a replacement or an apology) still no fruit and mushrooms so I gave up. The second part was that the room was not cleaned properly and had lots of finger prints and cup marks (considering it's supposed to be a 5 star hotel). The actual hotel is nice with amazing facilities and options but the staff could be a bit more noticeable with orders and simple hotel procedures. I was a little disappointed given the price to stay there.

Roon is big and very convenient. Sadly, we had a rear city view which spoiled our experience. For 3 days in a raw we had to call service center to ask for hands towels which were missing from an unknown reason. Relatively nor far from the old city if you use the near by monorail.

The location is excellent. Limited food choices for vegetarian Indians. Considering the number of Indian tourists going to Baku and also staying in Fairmont Hotel, an Indian chef should be there to plan the menu. The dining room staff needs more training to handle guests and volume. Most servers usually run around without any proper plan. I think they were college graduates as they lacked professional approach. In the morning the breakfast area used to be a chaos due to responsibilities not clearly assigned. The room used to get serviced by 5 pm next day. Also, the hotel is very frugal in providing water bottles, tea, etc in the room.

This hotel is a disgrace to the wonderful city of Baku. You are only paying for the view of the beautiful city from the room, but the hotel itself is terrible, with service at the level of cheap motels in residential areas. They didn't even want to unlock our refrigerator and required a deposit, even though the room cost about $500 for one day. By the way, the $200 deposit was never returned; it's been 2 months. I don't recommend ever staying in this dump.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here at the Fairmont Baku hotel. Incredible staff.They do everything to make you happy. The hotel is beautiful, extremely conveniently located with all the amenities one can think of. The rooms are incredibly large with breathtaking views of the city or the sea. Everything here is 1st class.

Amazing staff at Kamran was our waiter every night and he was just out of this world with the level of service he provide. As well the team of the front desk and phone very cordial and helpful, my room lights were turning on by themselves however just made one call and they came to fixe it right away same for the water pressure.

The time at fairmont hotel was amazing!!! Beautiful place, great staff, very clean, the spa, restaurant... I got a quick answer for everything. The place how was less then good was the staff how help at the table in the dining room. But everything else was so perfect, that we where happy we chose fairmont. Thank you!!!!!

That’s a great hotel but I found a previous guest’s underwear in my room over the curtains. I understand it happens and I appreciate the hard work of the cleaning personal. Then, there was a long black hair on the towels which are definitely from the previous guests as well. I’m fully blonde btw. Over the cleaning issues i had a great experience staying there

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. However left a bit disappointed as the room given to us initially had a toilet that had foul smell. Upon our request we were moved to another room.Everythibg about this hotel was made better by one of the best staff i have met in my many years of travel experience. His name is Jeymun and he made us feel like we were at home. Went oit of his way throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we wanted and always checked kn us to see if we were good and comfortable. He also guided us to the best sight seeing options as well as restaurants in and around Baku. Hats off to you Jeymun!

The administration of the hotel didnt have vision of high quality of hotel of 5 star.When i forgot to remove disturbe, the clean service didnt knock door or call me in my room, after thant when i return to hotel in the evening, there was worst, when i call the room service they told me pay money to m room.

Fairmont Baku was a great hotel. Rooms are well appointed with huge windows overlooking either the city or the sea. One day there was mix-up and they did not service the room - but they offered us complimentary drinks and breakfast. My main issue was with the concierge - some were very knowledgeable and some were very weak and couldnt answer simple tourist questions.Also should note that the Fairmont is about 45 min walk from the old city and is uphill on the way back. Taxi ride is about 5-10 min and not expensive.
