This was always our go to place to stay when we visit Wisconsin Dells. This year there are new owners and it was dirty and I didn’t feel safe staying there. We are going to have to look for a different place to stay. Our room was ok, but the couple we were with their room was dirty. Toilets were not clean, sheets and towels were dirty. The big barking dog was scary.

Super friendly staff, large, CLEAN, updated room. Very close walking distance to all of the downtown shops, restaurants/bars and attractions in addition to being across the street from the River Walk. Looking forward to more stays at River Road!!

Not the cleanest, needs updating and many things are not up to code (not safe) location is great if you want to be close to downtown, within walking distance to everything. I would not recommend and will not be back.

When we arrived we were told they were unaware of our reservation and they were leaving for the evening. They would not be available if we needed anything. The floors were filthy and there was stuff in the bathtub. I thought I forgot something in the room and called the next day and never received a call back. I also requested a receipt but never got one. When I tried to call about the list item and receipt no one answered and they never called back. The location is great but nothing else was!

Liked that it was close to the venue and downtown. The pictures online to the actual setting did not compare. Room at firat glance was clean but was not clean, no coffee cups or coffee in room.

Couldn’t even stay the night. Supposedly getting 1 night back, out of the 2 nights booked. No smoke alarm, portable heater, exposed ceiling, no tv. Can’t possibly be up to code. Corker was the live worm swimming in the toilet, left and booked a different hotel. DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL!!

The front desk was great, however the room I was in is terribly dated, and it wouldn’t be for most people. Location is perfect for walking downtown.

The new owner is a very nice lady. She even offered me an upgrade for my room, as I was in town for business. Knowing that she's only had the property for 2 weeks, I took that into consideration. However the water in the tub / shower did not work at all. I could not shower before I went to my work event. I called the motel and left a voicemail with my phone number to call me to discuss, but did not hear back. I wish the new owner luck and her new endeavor. A call back would have been appropriate though.

They charged me two times for the room, then after I checked out they charged my card a 3rd time. On top of that there was no hot water, bed sheets had makeup on them, wall next to bed were dirty with dirt hand prints everywhere and the floors were so dirty I had to wear shoes or my feet would be black. Only good review I have is that Sarah the manager was extremely nice and friendly. Hope I get my refund back!

Great price for a clean, simple room that's only a two minute walk to the downtown Dells bars. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating as well.

Motel was horrible wifi was horrible couldnt watch any tv while going asleep loud and noisy there. Holes in walls no extra towels floor was filthy window blinds were horrible took 10 mins to get hot water for showers tv was on the floor just horrible all around

The motel was very run down. The room was very basic. We couldnt get the TV to work and there was no one ever in the office to help. The fitted sheet on the bed did not fit. We booked a king bed and it was a full size. We barely fit. It was so disappointing. I would never go back. We would of left but the room was non-refundable.

Worst stay ever. Very noisy. Wide gap around door so you heard everythig from outside. Up and down stairs, people talking, cars running etc. No security chain on door. Beds seem like hide away beds. Single matress and very uncomfortable. No carpet on floor. You could feel the sand on floor. No drawers for clothes or hangers. Internet so bad you get kicked out every five minutes or less. And the tv kept going out also. They had Roku which is internet. No list of tv channels or how to connect to tv. We left after one day. Only got a hour of sleep if lucky. Never again.

This place has changed hands a couple times over the years and the more we come back the worse it gets. We love the location and it was a nice place a few years ago but we are officially out of “one more chance” Booked a king bed, got basically a full size futon, water on the floor, and electricity was not working. We ended up talking to the front desk and after much back and forth the room situation was corrected. Other rooms in our group had similar issues, check in wasn’t very smooth, rooms not ready by 3, not getting room type they booked, cleanliness issues, etc

Was given 2 days notice (via text message) the reservation was being cancelled due to "plumbing issues." I had called and spoke with an employee at the front desk the same morning, who confirmed the reservation was booked and they were expecting me. I made this reservation to attend an out-of-town wedding, and it became very inconvenient (and expensive $$$; $248/1-night stay) to find last-minute lodging for a weekend in the Wisconsin Dells during its peak tourist season.

We checked in but as we did they claimed they didn't receive special needs.we were asked to come back bc they didn't have anything available and put us in another hotel they owned the beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was very tiny.the tub looked like it hadn't been used in years with spiders in it

Office closed 9:00-we got here at 8:30 and it was closed. Curtains didn’t cover the windows so we had to use blankets. Had a holder for a hairdryer but no hairdryer. Very old & spartan. But you get what you pay for.

ALI WAS VERY GRACIOUS AND KIND BUT THE PROPERTY HAS CHANGED. THE COLOR IS BLACK VERSUS WHITE,THEY NO LONGER HAVE ICE MACHINES, THEY SAID ON THE WEB PASSES TO CHULA VISTA BUT THATS NOT TRUE. THEY NO LONGER DO THAT. TOO BAD THE NEW OWNERS DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. HAVE BEEN GOING FOR YEARS, WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. DID NOT FEEL SECURE WITH THE HOTEL KEY CODE, THEY SEEM TO ALL BE THE SAME NUMBER.

This place needs a BIG hazmat sign on it. The room smelled horrible. They had a can of febreeze sitting on the microwave. Carpet was black with cigarette burns in it. Bathroom was discusting. Gave us 2 towels and no washclothes. Bedspred had pizza sauce on it. Our room only had sheer curtains in it. No blackout curtains at all. We asked to talk to the manager, but was not on site. The guy behind the counter had to call everytime someone had a compaint. Their add says free wi fi, which they never gave the password, and free passes to chula vista, which they didn't have either. We've stayed at alot of hotel/motels and by far, i have NEVER experienced anything like this place was. We asked for a refund, and would only give us half of our money back. The picture on their website is NOT what this place looks like! Stay away! Its REALLY bad! Would definitely not recommend!

The faucet in the bathroom needed to be tightened down - it wiggled all over. The pressure in the shower was quite weak. Finally on the the last day of our stay we kind of figured out how to work the lock on the door. The internet was practically unavailable much of the time. I guess you get what you pay for.

So what type of a motel/hotel does not provide towels?! They say on their site they have an ice machine, they do not. No soap or any type of amenities. Coffe? Well, their was a few k cups, no clean coffee cups. Would NOT recommend or stay again!

It was freshly renovated so it was way nicer than I thought and the manager there was super nice and friendly it was overall one of the best motels I’ve ever stayed in and i for sure will be staying there everytime I go to the dells

Absolute dump of a motel, filthy and falling apart, stained towels with holes in them, locks on doors missing on some, ac wasnt put together, thermostat didn’t work. All around dump.

I know this was not an expensive place to stay, so I did not have high expectations, however this was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed! My husband and I were put in room 6 on the end of the old top hat motel that is now joined with this one. It took a min of 5min to unlock the door to get in our room, which was only a door knob lock because the handle was so messed up. At some point this door was kicked in for sure as the door jam was all messed up. There was no deadbolt inside. The bed was a flat leg frame and was basically a full size that was the thickness of the cheapest crib mattress one could find. It was also covered in plastic. You could say this was more like a pull out bed that was already set up. The vanity in the bathroom nice but they never fixed the tile around it, there were dead bugs in the corner of the room, and when my husband went to unplug his phone charger sparks came out the wall. I can understand when things are under construction but that was never advertised as even the girl who checked us in said this was one of her favorite rooms since it was kind of hidden. I see all these reviews that this is nice and clean and I am not sure who has had the pleasure to stay here but just know it was not nice and clean everywhere. One of friends rooms was actually decent, the other ones had wholes in the ceilings and old light fixtures in the closet.

Location was great. Stayed on the lower level which was not good due to family above us being up at 4:45am and they sounded like a herd of buffaloes. So needless to say we got little sleep and left much earlier than expected.

The lady who checked us in was super sweet and accommodating. Made us start out our weekend getaway on a fantastic note. The room itself was decent for a motel. Close to all the shops and things to do.

Got a room on the back side of the property but never even went in - barely got out of the car before three police squads pulled in and officers with guns drawn were going into a room three doors down. As the officers walked by they both advised to never stay at this place, it’s nothing but a drug den. Based on those comments and the characters milling around I got back in the car and booked a safer, quieter motel several blocks away. Gal in front office refused to issue a refund, surprise, surprise. Ended up staying elsewhere which was fantastic, for the same $. No cops or tweakers there!
