Kind of cramped quarters, but not an unfair deal for the price, especially in Sydney. Accommodations in Sydney are difficult at best, and while this place is no 5 star experience, it's perfectly adequate as a crash pad and included a refrigerator. I didn't come across anything I would call a show stopper or a major problem, and the staff was pretty good about helping out with a minor problem that appeared--the card programmer leading to no availability of door keys for a time--but the staff helped folks out with that. Ran them ragged I'm afraid, hope they got it sorted.

The hotel is terrible. We asked for the bed linen and towels to be changed twice and they didn't do it. There weren't many options for breakfast, just bread, jam, butter and cereal, for a breakfast that was PAID for, the experience was not pleasant. The room we asked for for 4 people was very cramped, it should have accommodated a maximum of 2 people, the bathroom was very small, there was no door separating it from the beds. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't stay there again. TERRIBLE!

Very good value for the money. Beds were very comfortable. Room was small but had everything you needed. Could do with a fresh coat of paint around the walls but i would definitely stay here again.

In our first room our air conditioner rained like a tap saturating the carpet. We were moved to a second room where the air conditioner was on hot when we entered the room and would only slightly cool. Also the power went off twice in the 12 hours we were there! A fuse had to be reset each time. The room was not fresh and was very smelly with no windows for fresh air! However, the staff were pleasant and helpful. How sad for them to work in this unmaintained environment, having to deal with housekeeping issues and such basic maintenance problems. Also, how sad is it that we welcome overseas visitors to this third world environment in our premier entertainment precinct in Sydney! If I visited, I would never return. Infact, I am local and I will never return! Shame on you Ibis Budget for letting us all down!

Double charged me for parking and still waiting for refund. Have sent email and phone call but no response. As a single mum I cannot afford to be charged twice for things.

Very friendly staff but the rooms were smelly, unclean and the shower door kept coming off the runner.

Property condition is really very bad. Rooms smell very bad beds are not comfortable and there’s no window in the room and entire building to get fresh air in it very disappointed will never book again.

Small space. Unpleasant smell upon entering room, could be coming from drainage?

Overnight parking is rich at $35.However, this the going rate for the Olympic site. Breakfast options are poor and sub standard. Otherwise, room clean and tidy. Small, yet value for money.

Whilst the Ibis is convenient for concerts at Homebush, the air conditioning leaked and we couldn't have it on overnight as the water dripping out was very loud. The staff were great getting us towels etc for the floor, but you couldn't get to the hotel door or bathroom without being dripped on. Staff tried really hard to help us out.

The bed was very comfortable. Overall, I feel too expensive for room rate. It was convenient for our needs.

It’s a great hotel to rest your head after a concert. Walking distance from all arenas.

Small rooms with low level of comfort but it's much cheaper than other places in the area. If you can afford it you might want to stay somewhere else. If $$'s are the problem then this is the place

Bathroom was dirty, kettle was filled with black crust, noisy with kids screaming running up and down the halls and slamming doors.

Staff were friendly however the room was dirty. Stained carpet, dirty walls, the desk and bedside tables had a layer of dust and everytime you opened the door to the toilet clumps of dust would fall from the air vent which was covered in muck. The toilet roll holder was missing the bar the toilet paper sits on and the shower did not have very good water pressure. The bed was comfortable enough. If you choose to stay make sure you pre-book parking also.

One lift was broken, so we all had to line up after a concert to get to our rooms using a single lift that maybe takes 7-8 people at most.

Convenient, affordable. No fresh air and cockroaches in the bar fridge.

I know its a budget hotel but that doesn't mean it needs to feel like your paying by the hour. One of the lifts wasn't working so you could be waiting upwards of 5 mins to use the lift especially when everyone was coming and going from the concert. The sheets weren't even properly secured to the mattress so rolling around at night the sheets would roll up and bunch. And there was no exhaust fan in the toilet room which made it feel super tiny and made the room unpleasant after using the toilet. The only saving grace for me was simply how close to the arena it is.

Very basic , but was convenient for where we needed to go .

Guys, I'm not saying it was the Hyatt, because it wasn't. But what it was was CHEERFUL. And it wasn't like the staff were super amazing because we hardly saw them, but you know, what we saw of them was great. It was that everyone in that building wanted to be there, so they were HAPPY and welcoming. And everyone in the precinct was also there for a good time. I've never felt so safe walking alone at night in Sydney and I had some lovely interactions with other guests that made this a fun stay. From chats in the elevator, sharing breakfast pancakes to joining as a group to head over to the dining strip. Everything you need is in Olympic Park and the athletes casually wandering around for meets was a great bonus. So, Cheap and Cheerful and I can't really justify staying anywhere else in Sydney now. I'll be back.
