Was not very clean at all. The sheets and towels were dirty and we only had a blanket not a duvet and the blankets had burn holes in them. Just all in all didn’t seem very safe and quite unclean.

Booked room with breakfast included, no breakfast received. Very limited parking space. Room very cold, on request received extra heater. Shower in room didn’t work, had to use shared one. No duvets , only blankets. Very dusty under the bed.

Very low budget hotel, with free parking, free WiFi and close to the train station. Friendly staff. However, heating hours set up randomly and minimal, been cold in the room as windows was old and in need of repair / refurbishment as the hotel, also. Wardrobe with no hangers and missing door, shower cubicle in room was blocked / closed/ not in use. The sink in the room had the hot water tap broken. Inadvertently advertising free breakfast on Hotels.com. Expedia, etc

This place is horrendous! The guy checking us in was angry we checked in a day late (done because our flight was early the next morning and we wanted to check right in) but the room we were supposed to be in flooded so they put us in a smaller room. So he was mad that we were both a day late, and 2 hours early for check in?? There was a shared bathroom which was never advertised, the mattress for lack of a better word was springs with a sheet on top. They never turned heat on, we couldn’t plug anything in without it scrambling the television, the was we’re so thin you can hear every voice in the building. One morning the manager was banging on a neighbor’s door threatening to call the police because it was after checkout time and they were still there (this went on for nearly an hour). I’ve never been so disappointed with accommodations in my life and wouldn’t recommend for even mice to stay here. We paid for 7 nights and stayed 2 before finding somewhere else.

Really not great, I knew it wasn’t going to be spectacular but I didn’t expect it to stink of cigarettes, have no duvet but only a suspicious blanket and a thin sheet (the staff did offer more blankets

My stay at the hotel was a pleasant one for what to expect for the cost. The shower could do with better cleaning... Overall friendly and accommodating staff. Easy access to transport and local shops.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable with regard to apps. Rooms were very small and tired. Expected a bit more for the price.

two beds one of the beds was ok the other was so old and full of springs it was inpossible to sleep the bathroom was dirty and very old not recommended

Horrible place - nothing like it looked on-line and didn’t even bother staying for the second pre-paid night, it was such an ordeal! Felt like there were fleas in the bed and woke up with a rash - avoid at all costs if you value your health and sense of good judgement!

Decent place to stay for the night, ok location

I was very disappointed with the hotel, the room was very tiny, the bed was not comfortable, bathroom was not very clean, there was hair in the shower. Breakfast was not provided even though the booking said it would, I was offered a cup of coffee or pointed to where I could make one. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

My girlfriend ran away in the first hour of our stay there it was so disgusting and fake representation of the rooms. It was tiny

I had the worst experience at this place. I paid for a private bathroom & toilet but when I got there they told me I had to share. The images of the bathroom looked nothing like what they had. They are definitely misleading and I regret going there. Staff was rude. There was also a broken window which meant I could hear all the noise from outside!

The Crystal lodge has more comparison to an old chip stone than a crystal! Although I was definitely not expecting the Ritz, it is a 2star Afterall. When I arrived I was made to walk along the road about 7min walk to get a cash point as the card machine wasn’t wirking, which as a bit inconvenient but these things can happen. I got back and was greeted by a stron smell of old fried food throughout, went to my room , opened the door and it definitely wasn’t like narnia, it was worse than the dorms at school camp, there was 2 beds, the springs felt like they were coming through, the walls look like a group of toddlerS had attacked the walls, the floor and the walls were very dirty. Giving the fact that they have been closed due to a pandemic you’d think they’d have taken the chance to disinfect the place. There was a kettle there , no cups or refreshments though and no sink in room to fill it! The cupboard and drawers where screaming for dettol. The communal bathroom was a lot to be desired, the bath /shower was so dirty I wouldn’t even bath my dog I’m it! There was no hand towels to dry your hands on and there was a whole other world living on the toilet, unbelievably disgusting. I left my room and went in search of another hotel on other side of town, I went back just after midnight & asked for a refund, I was able to get 1 night back &explained I couldn’t stay & I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. If you can avoid this place please do!

This was advertised as including breakfast which on arrival I was told had been withdrawn. I was offered the chance to cancel but had no choice at that hour to stay. Otherwise simple but did the job

The host called me non stop throughout my busy and stressful day . Leaving voice messages and liteally harassing me for a check in time even though the website stated I can arrive anytime until 3am. When I arrived at 10 he demanded an explanation for my arrival time and lectured me on his business and how it runs. Bearing in mind I had a day from hell this was the last thing I needed. On top of everything I couldn’t stay there because he couldn’t accept contactless payment. Maybe spend more time updating the facilities rather than treating people like children. Needless to say I won’t be booking here again and neither should you unless you want to be called all day on end.

I specifically asked for a toilet and shower in my room and paid extra for this. The toilet was shared and outside the room. The toilet was also dirty. The premises is definitely not by any standard a hotel. I left very disappointed. Also, it was advertised to include breakfast, instead I was told on the premises that it is continental breakfast and I didn't bother to have this in the morning because since the premises wasn't clean, how could I possibly trust their continental breakfast. The shower was a proper squeeze within the room. I am not just impressed. I wish I could give zero star rating.
