The Destiny Apartments were clean and well kept. The location made for very easy access to pretty much wherever you want to go in Edinburgh with access to the tram within a 3 minute walk. Multiple historic and monuments, museums, and other amazing locations are also within a short walk.
That said, the apartments can get hot in the summer months as there is no air conditioning (only heating) and the windows only open about 2 inches, making airflow through the apartment minimal. It is also immediately off a busy street and near several bars and nightlife, which are all active until well into the night, so if you’re looking for a quiet place - this is not it.

Comfortable, clean and a great location. The only negative was the room smelled of KFC and McDonald's with both outlets located downstairs.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location for walking around Edinburgh.
A busy area so quite noisy outside but otherwise a nice stay.

The apartment was beautiful and the location could not be beat. Steps from restaurants and parks and close to the action of Princes street. However a couple of things were less than ideal. First, the dryer was inoperable. Clothes would was and the heat of the dryer would come on, but the clothes wouldn’t dry. Second, the windows let in a significant amount of light at night, this combined with no fans, made sleep a bit challenging.
Overall a really nice place but a couple of improvements couple be made to be an outstanding experience.

Kitchen, washer/dryer combo, two bedroom and 2 bath, living room spacious.

Noise from the alley outside the room woke us up every morning. Could also hear the sounds of door slamming from other units throughout the night.

Didn't send email check-in. Air conditioning didnt work. Room was too hot. I asked for sheets, but instead I got a fan. Washer dryer hard to find. Hot water was not hot. There is no guide to work out what level to get out of escalator. Blinds did not block out the light coming through the window, which i had to open due to heat. Very noisy at night and in the morning.
Good location though.
Light in window

Destiny Scotland - St. Andrew's Square was the perfect location for our visit to Edinburgh. Less than 5 minutes from the train station as well as other transportation (Airlink bus to the airport was especially handy). Plenty of restaurants in the area - Rose Street was our favorite place to find dinner. Close to Sainsbury's for groceries as well.
The apartment had everything we could need for a long-term stay and was comfortable enough. The washer/dryer combo wasn't as useful as we would've liked - it took a long time to work through the cycles and was noisy. But overall, we would stay here again.

The apartment was lovely and in an excellent location close to Waverley train station, the bus station, tram and Princes Street. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped. I really enjoyed my stay. The only things to be aware of are the stairs up to the first floor which were only an issue when I had to drag a heavy suitcase up. I also had to pay to store luggage at the station as there is no storage at the property itself.

We stayed in a Superior Studio, and it was our favorite lodging of the vacation. The separate living area with a large sectional and a table for 4 made the space quite functional for us. The sectional had a couple of minor stains on it, but it was clean.
The washing machine confused me at first, but that always happens in Europe. The confusion was my own fault, since the instructions were pretty clear. The hotel provided laundry detergent, which was nice. The washing machine is in the room, so you don't have to share it with other hotel guests. The "dryer" is a drying rack, and it worked fine. The bathroom was comfortable. The location was very convenient. We never met any hotel staff, but check-in went fine. The hotel texted a code to me about an hour before check-in, and I was able to use the code to get into the building and to get into my room. I liked not have a room key to keep track of.
The rooms are above a couple of fast food restaurants, and people always seemed to be hanging out in front of the restaurants. It didn't feel dangerous, but we did see people hanging out on the street whenever we entered or left the building. Not a problem in my opinion.
I'd definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was incredibly central, easy to find and I liked the no contact aspect of it. You just receive a code for the door the day before you arrive - all very easy! The apartment was clean, modern and well maintained.
My only gripe was although there was more than enough room for a king size or even super king bed, there was only a double bed (and a small double at that!) so my partner and I struggled a bit with that and for two nights my partner slept on the sofa instead because there was more room. But other than that a very lovely stay and I would highly recommend

Nice stay, the apartment was easy to find and access. It is a little busy at night. Being located in the tram stop but other than that it was great

I love that the property was so close to the train station. Not a fan of having to get my bags up 28 stairs after a 4 hour train ride. The location was centrally located and perfect to get the buses at St. Andrews Square. Sad the homeless problem there is so bad, but it seems to be everywhere.

Above KFC so a few odours and a bit of noise but nothing more than expected as it is located right in the centre of Edinburgh. Parking is available nearby but very limited (Ideally located for trams and train though). Nice big room and very comfy, well equipped. Room is up a flight of stairs so not suitable for some. Very reasonably priced, and I would use Destiny Scotland again without a doubt.

The apartment was absolutely perfect! Very spacious and it is very helpful to have so many amenities including a washer/dryer. Tons of shopping, restaurants within steps and close to all of the local transportation.

Place was great. It met our needs perfectly as far as location and space needed. But for mobility challenged not a good choice. Although there is an elevator, there is a flight of 30 stairs that must be climbed to access it. So it was a once down and up per day. Perhaps that should be noted in property description.

Property management was less than forthcoming about the ability to add a rollaway bed in the apartment, which turned a $90 request into a significant upgrade cost, requiring my having to book an additional room, costing over $1,000 for a separate apartment to house a guest for 6 days. Disingenuous at best. I will never use Destiny for any of my tour customers or plans.

Apartment itself was clean, spacious and a good place to stay. Surrounding area is very central which does lead to some noise at night, but overall was nice accommodation.

This was a perfect location for our 3 extra nights in Edinburgh. An easy walk to any part of the city, and close to pubs and restaurants. We were on the 3rd floor and had very quiet evenings! Would definitely recommend Destiny Scotland!

Such a fab location! We were there for the summer sessions and couldn’t have gotten a better apartment. Stone throw from princess street gardens. Fully equipped with all the essentials and a lovely big bathroom with a huge shower. Near a sainsburys for all essentials and next to the bus & train station. Would defo stay again, totally fab!

We had great stay at this lovely spacious apartment. Location was amazing and although in a busy area the super windows kept it surprisingly quiet.
It’s was extremely hot in Edinburgh when we were there and although there was no air con . The spacious building and think stone walls kept apartment temperature pleasant.
Code entry is so handy.. no loosing key cards !
Only very slight criticism were TV was quite small and king size beds would be better .
We really didn’t want to leave .
Best location for shops and restaurants …
Watched fireworks at end of the road .
Short walk to the quieter bars in the new town .
Short walk to hustle and bustle of princes street and down to royal mile .
We parked at Q park which was 5-10 min walk and reasonably priced if prebooked .
Uses number plate recognition so no tickets to loose !
We cannot wait to go back .
Special birthday meal at Tattu which is next door
Mum and teenage sons

The room itself is spacious, well appointed, and generally quite good, and the hotel has the great advantage of being about as central as you can get in Edinburgh without paying through the nose. Negatives are that the rooms are located on the upper floors with no lift from the ground floor (30 steps!}, and that there are no visible sraff on site. But many customers may nonetheless find this attractive.

The nit was awesome. I felt like I could live there and gave everything I needed. Right in the center if everything you would need to access. The only issue is that the lift is up a flight of stairs snd I had a heavy suitcase. Otherwise the perfect place for a long stay.

The property management team is super helpful, they will do anything to make you happy. Joanna is very nice. Thank you. The no front desk check in is easy, just enter the code on key pad. It is a very good place in terms of location, you can’t get any better, and amenities, washer and dryer, when you’re traveling, it is important to have that, and kitchenette comes with it. Also the unit has comfortable couch to relax, and dinning room set. The only negative is near the garbage pick up of the next building so it may be noisy in the morning, but if you’re not a light sleeper and you’re an early riser, you will be okay. Bring a earplugs if you’re concerned. I will stay here again.

Great place. The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet and very clean. I had occasion to work with the office staff helping to sort out a problem and they were most helpful and responsive.
The location is ideal. We came in by train and the station is very close by a quick five minute walk. Then we had to go to the airport and to catch the bus was a short block walk away. We went on some of the hop on hop off bus tours and they were a two minute walk away. Can’t beat that location.
If we were ever to return to Edinburgh we would definitely definitely stay here again .
