The location is very convenient, just 2 minutes walk to the Egyptian museum, maybe that’s why many police force in this area, make tourists feel safe. The staff here are very helpful and enthusiastic, a nice experience.

Wow this is the must stay property in Cairo! The hotel has it’s own little gated driveway and security which makes you feel VERY safe!
The hotel is in a great location, walkable to The Egyptian Museum. Lots of eats and shops around also.
The room was very comfortable and had great room amenities. We hung out at the pool twice and it was really lovely and has a nice bar with food options.
The gym is quite nice for a hotel gym! We enjoyed the weights, machines, and cardio equipment.
The best part of this hotel might just be their breakfast buffet!! Absolutely the best hotel buffet (maybe even just buffet period!) TONS of options!
Stay here while in Cairo! The staff will make you feel very welcome and you won’t want to leave!

In my opinion, this hotel would be classified as a 3-star hotel. If you're looking for a 4-star or higher rating, it's best to consider other options. However, the hotel's downtown location provides convenience, as it's right around the corner from the Egyptian Museum. The breakfast buffet is enjoyable, and the dinner options offer a wide variety of tasty choices. While some staff members are nice, it's worth noting that not all of them provide the same level of service. This hotel is suitable for a short stay but not recommended for long-term stays. Safety is a top priority here, evident through the comprehensive detection system in place. All vehicles entering the premises undergo security checks, which include the use of dogs and electronic devices. Personally, I felt very safe during my stay.

Great location in Downtown Cairo across the main street from the Cairo Museum. Very helpful staff. Great rooms. Extensive safety/security measures (a good thing). FANTASTIC breakfast! A little more expensive, but worth it!

Very good location right next to the El Tahrir square. Very pleasant experience on check-in: we arrived early and were not forced to wait for the check-in time. Not big but comfortable room. Safe box, iron and the board in the closet, sitter in the corridor that can be used also as a luggage rack, shoe cleaning set and a shoehorn. Fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. Excellent service.
To close the room door one must really push it hard. My wife couldn’t close it. Slow internet, WhatsApp and Wi-Fi calling didn’t work. The VPN is blocked. All fixtures in the bathroom were loose ready to fall at the first rough touch. The mirror had integrated lights that didn’t work, making shaving a challenge because the main lights were on your back putting a shadow on your face. No heating in the room, though we were offered a portable heater. A/C and fresh air coming from outside worked. Very unpleasant view on half crumbled building in a bad shape and full of construction garbage on the street.

I found the Steigenberger El Tahrir by accident after arriving late at night and after a long journey. My original accommodation unbeknownst to me and which was booked online proved to be unsafe. It was a scary room in an empty building. I was so fortunate to find the Steigenberger nearby and that it was not completely booked.
I felt safe and taken care of at this property. It is an accommodation with everything considered for travelers. A great place to unwind before seeing the sights of Cairo. My favorite was the business center with access to a computer with internet and a printer. I was traveling with my phone and this service saved time.
The food was excellent and well presented. Magnificent breakfast buffet. Friendly front desk and staff. Airport pick-up was a great service as it can be tricky at the airport with taxi's and getting an Uber. I would definitely stay here again. Everything was above my expectations.
The only unpleasant happening was when my friend was overcharged at the restaurant on his credit card. We are not sure if it was intentional or a mistake. This was quickly resolved at the front desk the next morning and refunded.
The hotel is almost across the street from the original Egyptian museum which is open. Down the street is a government regulated souvenir shop (no bargaining). Directly across the street from security gate is a vendor selling drinks and snacks.
Next time I hope to try the spa. Thank you so much for a great stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it’s just next to the museum and Tahrir square.
The reception desk was very helpful and the room was great. Also the breakfast was really good.
The only slight issue was that shower door was not closing fully so lots of water on floor after shower.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, it was new, the furniture and bathroom were super clean, and everything was working; the service was fast and very helpful. No one bothered you. Everything is close to the hotel too. The hotel staff are truly very kind; it was the best hotel I’ve stayed at. Better than any other 5 star hotel.

The hotel interior was fine - but it didn't feel worth the $200 USD per night. Service was also fine - but not special. Cairo is loud - and this noise was transferred to my room and even with windows closed, earplugs were required. This hotel appears to cater to many bus tour groups, and I found myself surrounded by dozens of people lingering in the foyer either ready to leave for a tour, or just returning. I would choose a smaller hotel next time, and something with a courtyard to get away from some of the madness.

The poor coordination between guards and lobby coordinator makes my Uber driver pick us up outside the hotel property instead of us waiting for our ride to drive in. Staff at the breakfast room are poorly trained. Have to ask 3x for. Bottled water.

Very good breakfast with plenty of variety.The hotel is centrally located. The hotel is centrally located. The reception staff was very friendly. The only negative points I have are the following:
1) We felt harassed by the housekeeping staff in the hallways who were always on the lookout for some sort of tip every day.
2) Despite being in a non-smoking room, when we arrived the first day to in the hallway on the way to our room we felt the smell of cigarettes in an adjoining room; we also felt it one night in the wee hours of the morning. Our room was 7013.

The cleanliness of the rooms was great and the location was perfect. It was in between the airport and the pyramids, so it wasn’t too far away from the essential places (if traveling for holiday). The only thing I recommend is NOT eating at the restaurant or ordering rooms service. The food was bland and overpriced, compared to surrounding restaurants.

Well located, very nice from the outside. Standard tourist hotel, with large groups. Lobby is very noisy and Breakfast can be very crowded. Check in long and pax not nice / warm. Room clean yet small. Ask to be on the quiet side as noisy on the main road, cannot sleep. Room cleaning ok, yet forgot to put towels. Quality of breakfast good. Expensive for the service.
