Pretty rooms newly renovated right on the St Lawrence. The restaurant however is overpriced for what tou get with few options. Charging for bread is rather stingy!

Beautifully appointed by the River, brand new remodelled motel unit. Small room, no fridge. If you dine with them it is very pricey.

The food was absolutely fabulous. We were at very expensive restaurants in Quebec city but the chef here was better. Also the view from the dining room outstanding

Nice boutique hotel. Beautiful spot. The music from the restaurant was way too loud. We could hear it through the floor and it kept us up.

The location of the Motel’s room front of the sea very nice. Bed sheets be white and clean room although a bit old building accommodations are fine
Dinner at April good but fees 4$ for 1 mini bread ridiculous! Fish of the day salmon very good and dessert with strawberries of season super!
Love this aera and village of Notre Dame du Portage by the sea. Nice discovery for me!

Incredible atmosphere surrounds this place. Beautiful breakfast and all those working here were shining like the sun.

Beautiful location, great food and service. Rooms could be upgraded.

The common areas were gorgeous and cozy. The restaurant was amazing and you should definitely eat there.. big portions and great taste. The location was beautiful. The rooms are very basic, but at this price it's what you'd expect.
However, the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor, you can hear the people in the next rooms as if they were in your room. In addition, the second night we were there, there was a huge amount of noise coming from the restaurant. We had to go down and ask them to turn down the music. Then there was banging and crashing for about an hour and the sound of something, (vacuuming?) after the restaurant closed. We got a very poor sleep that night. The staff of the restaurant have to be more aware of how much noise they make... maybe leave the heavy cleaning until daytime hours?

The setting is great .
The rooms were very clean but also extremely basic .
The restaurant was excellent .
The WiFi never worked , this coupled with terrible phone reception made the stay challenging .

We loved our stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice old inn, which you see in the pictures. However, when you book a room, you'll probably be in a small room in the old motel next to the beautiful inn. Regardless, I would stay here again. Fantastic view and for a very reasonable price. Great friendly and welcoming staff. There is a restaurant and small lounge on site. Nice, but a pricey menu.

Amazing views and sunset on St Lawrence. Superb restaurant. Excellent duck confit.

This property is situated on the StLawrence river and has a great view. Staff was very friendly. Our room was situated over the kitchen which was a bit annoying. Some early morning noise and constant smells (most of them delicious).

Location was great...so was food at the restaurant. But the initial contact with wait staff and restaurant responsible person was unacceptably bad.

Really nice hotel out of town on the river. Dated but charming.
Dinner was elegant but not fabulous. My duck was over cooked and dry. Breakfast buffet was much better!

It was a great stay- it’s a nice place to lay you’re head- the pricing however for how rundown the room was-was a bit high. When someone above us walked around the ceiling tiles moved....and our carpet was wet.

The location is great. The food is very good but comfort wise it's more like a basement room than a hotel

Beautiful view on the water. Rooms very basic but clean and quiet for sleeping. Hotel menu expensive so had to drive to town to have dinner. Recommend staying on top floor.

Great view of the St. Lawrence. Although there was no A/C there seems to be always a nice cool breeze off the water. We stayed twice (going and returning from the Cabot Trail) and had a nice experience both stays.

Very friendly staff. Basic room, no air conditioning, no coffee maker but the view of the St-Laurence river and surrounding Hills is beautiful.

On arrival we were offered an "upgrade" for the same price from the main house to one of the motel rooms. We accepted as the motel rooms had balconies overlooking the river. However.......on opening the door to our room and flicking the light switch, the dimmest light I've ever seen came on (40 watt?) to light the whole room. Additional lighting was one table lamp with another dim bulb. The only bright light was in the bathroom.
The beds were so hard it was like sleeping on a board which did NOT help my artificial hip at all!
There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which would have been nice rather than making a trek to the main house a late night drink.
All in all, at the end of a long drive from Saint John and a tour of the Maritimes, it was the most disappointing place we stayed in.

Everyone was pleasant and friendly. Would stay again. Within most people's budget.
