The service wasnt as it looked in the app. Food options were limited maybe i was just used to more at another hotel in Bole, but it’s livable.

This property is really not in good shape. We were given a room at the front which is right on a major road. Horns, noise all night, including dogs barking. The construction is so poor that when a large truck went by it caused the building to shake and woke us up. The bathroom drain in the floor was backed up and the bathroom smelled bad. Breakfast was just ok. It was so bad that we ended up leaving that day and moving to another hotel nearby even though we lost 3 nights that we had paid for. I would recommend that Hotels.com take this hotel off their site.

1. On booking into the hotel I was put in room 104 which was approx 160 m2 and rather grubby. It was located adjacent to the car park. Meaning cars would be parking 15 meters from the door of the room. I immediately asked to be moved from the room;2. I was then put into room 302; again this room was grubby and small approx and bore no resemblance to the room that was advertised on the Expedia website. The images on the Expedia website advertised a newly furnished and painted room in pristine condition. However, room 302 did not have a functioning Wi-fi connection so I was not in a position to bring the discrepancy to the hotels attention, after all, I booked in rather late and at this point, the time was after 12 mid-night;3. Room 302 was very cold. Comparable to a winters night in England. The blanket provided was inadequate to retain body heat and I was unable to sleep the entire night simply due to the cold. I was surprised Etopia could have such cold nights but it is a reality. The lack of sleep on this cold night was augmented by what sounded like a pack of dogs barking loudly. 4. At 4 am, 4 hours after checking in; I went to the reception to complain about the situation. The wi-fi connection at reception was working and I was able to show clearly the room I was in was not the same as the room advertised on the Expedia website. I had been put in an inferior room on two occasions although I had paid for the best rooms at the hotel.

WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: (1) I didn't like the fact that their wifi wasn't working, throughout my stay there (2) I didn't like the fact that, most of the time i could not talk to anyone about what I needed because of the language barrier WHAT I LIKED: (1) the free airport shuttle service (2) How they speedily moved me to another room when I complained about the smell and water that wouldn't drain away in the bathroom.

The staff was very helpful & the restaurant food & free breakfast was delicious. The only downside is you'll hear an orthodox church's call-to-prayer (and a few neighborhood dogs) early in the morning. But the hotel itself was great!
