Previous occupants hair in tub. They did not tell us we above the the bar where the band would be until midnight.

The hotel room we were in had a broken toilet. Upon telling the front desk, they acted like it was an ongoing issue and said there was nothing they can do. They said call the number on the form that was filled out during checkin. A message was left in said number with no call back or confirmation it was noted.

Absolutely loved our stay, and the people were wonderful as well!

What a fantastic spot! The history alone made our trip.
In terms of service, there was no one there when we needed to check out. Apparently no one at front until 10 am. Not sure if that's true.

We had a wonderful stay at the Talbott Inn…we thought the old charm and history of the place was awesome. We will definitely stay again!

The history and Decor

The Talbot Inn is over 200 years old. It is fun the way a lot of things have been preserved. We were a little disappointed that none of their ghosts visited us, but maybe next time. Lots of little shops to walk to and shop! just a cute little town. Nice people.

Great Place

Like the charm of the Inn and the location. The mattress was very uncomfortable and old. It sunk in at the edges. Our room was right above the bar and the noise from the crowd and music was loud. Felt like we were in the bar area. Music went on until Midnight. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. No counter space in the bathroom.

Loved the historic nature of the Inn and the convenient location.

Breakfast too late, short hours of front desk

It is a very old in, but with that being said it was lovely. Parking can be difficult. It is on a main street and while we were there, they did road construction during the night so it was a bit noisy but manageable. The breakfast was simple and tasty. Staff was friendly. Great location to get the feel of this quaint town. Lots of walkable food and shopping. Town closes down early and minimal food options on certain days and times.

Great hotel, restaurant and oldest bourbon bar in the US!

It’s a charming old inn and the bed was comfortable which is much appreciated. Not much sound insulation so we could hear the traffic outside and the music at the bar downstairs.

Bardstown is a charming quaint town and staying at an old inn was perfect. The rooms have been updated nicely but it is an old building and rooms are small. Bed was excellent! Only problem was our tv didn’t work and they couldn’t do anything about it.

Great stay in a historic B&B. Perfect location in town and a good free breakfast. Stayed here before and will stay here again.

Charming, historic hotel right in the middle of Bardstown, so a great location, walkable to all the cute shops and restaurants.

Experience was was nice, everyone very nice. Breakfeast food was good, however very not organized. No one knew what order people come in and sat down, the server just brought your plate out in random order. People were waiting over 30 minutes while others that just walked and sat down received meals.

Great stay at the historic hotel. The room was great and decorated for the period. The hot breakfast was delicious. Best biscuit I have had in a long time. The bar was top notch.

This was a great, unique spot to stay along the bourbon trail. It is convenient to many local distilleries. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the service for both were amazing! Check in was easy and efficient. We stayed in the Jesse James room which was awesome except for the shower water pressure which was basically a drip. Other than that this place was perfect.

It is a beautiful vintage hotel. We arrived to check in at 3, but the room wouldn’t be ready until 4:30. After being on the road since 4am, this was very disappointing, and the young man was unapologetic. The room was beautiful, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was so lopsided, I kept fighting to stay in place. Neither one of us got any sleep. Their restaurant gets crowded in the evening. After being on the bourbon trail all day, we came back to find no parking spots available. Food in the restaurant is overpriced and mediocre.
The bright spot was the Tavern because of Lexi, our bartender.

My husband and i booked a night while in town for business. We ended up leaving by 9:00pm to find another hotel. We did not know when booking that the rooms are directly above the bar which hosts live loud music at night. The bar noise was so loud we could not even hear our TV that was 3 foot from the foot of our bed. No possible way to sleep with the singing and cheering etc going on. We asked to be moved to another room but they were booked up. The hospitality manager was very kind and friendly but unable to help us. We left to another hotel which turned out great. I had to call several times but finally got in touch with the manager. She said she would refund our payment. I haven’t gotten it yet. The Inn is interesting in the historic context but felt worn in its accommodations. The staff was friendly on arrival. The bed felt old and the pillows hard, which some people may like. I prefer soft pillows.
Overall, it is a better place to stop by and look around and visit than to try and sleep.

Staff was nice and room was clean. Bed/pillows were comfortable. We stayed in one of the newer rooms. Our room was in the first floor next to street. There is a lot of street noise and foot traffic. Past midnight it was quite but starting around 6am you could hear people going up/down the stairwell next to us and the hall doors shutting.

This is our second stay and it hasnt disappointed yet! Staff are super friendly and helpful, place is super clean and the beds are comfy. Near anything and everything. We will be back

Clean and spacious room with a nice view. Very convenient location that made most of the shopping, restaurants, and local attractions walkable! Breakfast being included was also a plus! Only complaint would be that the television did not have access to any streaming and the cable was a little patchy with the signal. Definitely not a dealbreaker.

It was a beautiful hotel. They combined the old with the new perfectly. The only downside was there were 6 wasps in our room that my husband had to kill as soon as we got there.

The front desk people are just wonderful and so very helpful. Went above and beyond . The problem was with the room. It was located above the Bourbon bar and the noise was terrible, plus a very small TV that an older person had to concentrate to see clearly. There was no room phone so had to go up and down stairs to address the noise. Then had to take a room in another building on the backside of street. Then this room was comfy and very clean but the problem getting to that point. Must stay somewhere on way home but this will not be my choice.

No sign of ghosts for us. Great location.

This is such a cute place and I would definitely stay here again. Very much like a B&B: cozy, feels like home, a touch of vintage, and great food. This is a historical tavern so don't forget to see the memorabilia and read the history. We didn't have dinner here but it looked incredible and the dining hall was packed. We grabbed breakfast before heading out and it was very tasty! Even though the band next door was playing until late, I didn't mind listening to it and did not have issues falling asleep.

Our stay was fantastic! Our room (in the secondary building) was spacious, clean, comfortable, well-equipped (lots of drawers & closet space), and nicely decorated. Had a wonderful dinner the night of check-in, and a good breakfast before check-out at the Inn. Make sure to explore the Jesse James room and the rest of the second floor of the Inn - so cool! Also, lots of neat shops around to explore. Would love to stay here again!

It's a very old building with all the charm and the inconvenience that comes with it. Antique furniture is pretty but not always sturdy. Old electric outlets don't inspire confidence. Old doors that don't close tightly feel insecure.

We stayed in this lovely place for 3 nights. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable
