Very nice change from the regular hotel room and priced well below that same room. The owners are very friendly and attentive to your request. It is not fancy and does not have all the bells and whistles, but I would stay here over any hotel. Breakfast was great, cooked fresh to your order, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc. my 26 year old daughter loved sleeping in the loft, once again, not fancy but comfortable and a delight. When I go back, and if there is availability, I will book again.

This is an old hotel. No elevator, entrance is on the side of the building. It rained during our stay, it was hard carrying all our luggages to our room. The room was tight, but my kids loved the loft! It would be very hard to climb it, if you have mobility issues. If you are claustrophobic, the loft is not for you! Our room has a window overlooking the bay! Theres no TV in the room, but surprisingly my kids didn’t miss it. There were so the things to do, sights to see in Seward to compensate for it and TV room is next to the reception area. Breakfast was sufficient, we loved Banana bread. Staff was helpful. Hotel is located a mile from the port, few blocks from the Aquarium , shops, and the Waterfront Park. Seward Library and Museum is just across the street. Check in and out was a breeze! I would stay here again if we’re back in Seward.

The room was very tight and bath even tighter. Bed was comfy and shower great. Worse part was the entire room shook when people closed their doors. Breakfast was nice, made to order. Upstairs, rustic, but charming. Sort of hostel like. No ice for cold drinks

Nice Bed and Breakfast. We had a small room with a loft that my daughter slept in. The other visitors were friendly in the common spaces. Breakfast was very good.
Sarah arranged a trip on Major Marine and we saw at least 5 whales, harbor seals, puffins and 2 glaciers. I was concerned about the steps, because of bad knees, but they were nicely spaced. We also did the Sea Life Center, visited the shops and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Swans Nest, the kids loved the beds up in the cubby hole. Great freshly cooked breakfast and tea and coffee available all day with home baked treats. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended

Breakfast was good and room was clean but very small. Priced above the level of accommodations. But staff was friendly. If you’re there for a quick stop it’s fine

We have pleasant time in swan. Only problem is noise around the other rooms.

Kids will love the loft beds. Rustic decor, good cooked-for-you breakfast, helpful advice. The local advice was the most helpful for us and we booked a boat trip through the property to save money. Nice location downtown amid the stores and restaurants.

Very relaxing just a block from the shopping areas and shore. The friendliest staff you could ask for.

Very cozy and quiet room. Great communication from the host before we arrived. Warm fire stove to sit and relax by in the evenings in the common area.
Great breakfasts made to order by our gracious hostess who also accommodated us when we had to eat earlier than the normal time! Close to walking downtown. We loved our time here!

Breaksfast is good. Location is at the heart of the town where you can walk to the seaside. Also, rooms are clean.

From our check-in with Sarah, smiling and friendly, to our fabulous breakfast by Ashton, we loved our stay at Swan nest! We were fortunately able to check in early and loved our cozy room with fabulous view and access to a lovely, comfy, eating, sitting room, also, with gorgeous mountain views. If you don’t mind a few stairs, it’s a great place to stay! Thanks for making it even more fabulous, ladies!🌺

The breakfasts by Ashton were amazing. She was very careful of our GF request for celiac son, and everything tasted great. We also loved the open kitchen to prepare our own lunch and dinners. The dining room was cozy and the entire place was warm and inviting. SO much better than a motel or hotel!

This is a good place to end a day after long hikes or boat trips to see what Seward has available. The beds were comfortable. Adults need to know that the loft area is low and the mattresses are on the floor. One adult in our party felt slightly claustrophobic in the loft area. Sarah was so nice and helpful with hiking suggestions and when there was a problem with a window in our room she was very accommodating in arranging some compensation which was unexpected. The breakfasts had a nice selection of items that were all tasty. This is in a nice location to walk through town and visit the shops and restaurants, or to take a walk along the seafront path. Overall, I would recommend this to other travelers, just be aware of the loft area if an adult will be staying up there.

Check out time was a bit early (10am) for our needs and liking but this was understood coming in. What was unexpected was that hot water was a long time coming, so I simply stated that we would not be leaving until my friend was showered, which was after 10. I understand that older buildings may not have enough hot water when all guests are showering at the same time, and the staff person tendered no hassle to my statement that we would not be leaving until showered. So all in all it worked out. I loved the spot and will reccomend it to others.

My family recently stayed at A Swan Nest Inn and it was a nice little room with great amenities. The photos give you an idea of the room, but it was bigger than we expected and the loft was perfect! The breakfast was good and it was nice to chat with others who stayed there as well. Our room was right outside the dining area, but it was still quiet and not disruptive at all. Check in and out was super easy and the staff was friendly. I would certainly recommend this inn to others looking for a place in Seward!

Swan Nest was cozy and old-fashioned. It reminded me of my grandmother's home in small-town Michigan. The bed was very comfortable. You get a home cooked breakfast every morning. You can hang out in the common room and exchange Alaska experiences with other guests, or hibernate in your cozy room. A lovely place.

I would stay away from this hotel. The room is small, the building is outdated. You have to carry your luggages upstairs without any help. The only window in my room is facing a wall that is 5 inches away with no view at all. There is only two power outlets in the room that is very hard to reach, I can barely charging my devices. In addition the bathroom is outdated, with no countertop around the sink. Hot water run out very quickly, half of my family had to take the shower with cold water. The worst part, my 8 year daughter want to have two extra strawberry for the breakfast, the lady refused her request without hesitation. I paid over $200 per night to stay in a shady place like this and you cannot even provide 2 extra strawberry to my daughter? This must be a joke.
