Very clean and well-structured Igloo
It feels great to look at the sky while sleeping
You can get to witness northern lights from the comfort of your cosy bed
Proximity to the airport and Santa's village
Breakfast and Dinner main course are included in the booking price.
Drawbacks:
Being a remote location, there are few restaurants nearby.
The free main course portions were relatively small
The restaurant was pricey compared to the portions
During the day it got too bright for a toddler to sleep in the afternoon. There should be some mechanisms to cover the igloo to control the light during the day.

Property was brilliant. Staff were professional and helpful at all times. My husband was celebrating a very special birthday and the hotel went out of their way to help make it special. The igloo itself felt special and we were pleased to have had the experience. Restaurant food and breakfast buffet were really good-especially the dinners were fabulous! We had our 5 year old with us and SCV was easily walkable for us plus sledges are provided if needed

The igloo is an amazing experience, very cosy.
The only negative point is that there are no curtains on the ceiling, so it gets too light in the morning, not good for someone that needs dark to sleep.

This property has a campground-esque feel, with rows of igloos dotted throughout. It is one of the farthest properties from the central part of Santa Claus Village, about a 5-10 min walk to the action. We checked in that morning and they said they would call us when the room was ready. We came back at 3pm and found our luggage had been delivered to our room but they never called us, so the check-in experience was a disappointment. We are a family of four (two kids ages 8 and 11) and the four person igloo is very small. There is a little entry way for your boots and clothes, no common space, a nice master bedroom in the actual igloo part, but the second room with two twin beds literally fills the entire room, wall to wall, so you have to get on and off at the foot of the bed. They also warn you the igloo only has a water tank for 20 mins of shower time, so you’ll need to be quick with four people before it goes cold. Breakfast buffet was the most disappointing of the three hotels we stayed at in Finland. However, ironically, dinner in their restaurant was very good and probably the best we had. To be fair, the igloo concept is super cute, but just wasn’t practical for us. We also learned the odds of actually being in your igloo, laying cozily in bed, and seeing the northern lights is probably 2%, because you generally have to drive out late at night to an open nature area with limited light pollution.

Very nice property. Everything very clean. Staff are absolutely phenomenal!!!! I can not recommend their high level of customer service and friendliness enough!

The location of the hotel is central and the rooms are clean and tidy. All employees are very caring and helpful. We would like to thank the reception staff and Mark for their interest, help and support from the beginning of the registration process. I definitely recommend the hotel to everyone.

We were initially dreading for the worst as the room heating wasn’t working and it was -25C outside. Thankfully staff here really did try and make it comfortable for us until the fuse was eventually replaced. Jani in particular was really good 👍
We were very fortunate to have witnessed the Green Lady so all’s well that ends well.

Overpriced for what it was. The bed was broken, clunked when you sat on it. Barely a chair to sit on in the room. For the cost of the place a coffee machine in the room would have been good. Dreadfully rude attendant at dinner, small portions, confusion at breakfast as no one there to greet you. Rude staff when asked why the room was so cold- poor communication and talked over the top of me.
I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly, staying at the igloo is worth every penny. The igloo is just so beautiful and comfortable, and the fare includes not only breakfast but also the main plate for dinner. We didn’t know that, it was such a pleasant surprise! The igloo is 5 min walk from the Santa Village, it’s honestly the best location. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see the northern lights as it was cloudy, but the experience was still worth it for sure.

It was amazing! The Aurora alert was working and we were able to see them!

I highly recommend that you stay here, you are 10min walking distance from Santa's Village and there you can take the bus to downtown. The staff is amazing. The food was: OMG DELICIOUS! Breakfast buffet and Dinner. The rooms are very cute, and specially the transparent self-defrosting ceiling is gorgeous. Thank you for an awesome stay ^_^

I loved watching the stars at night, and I was lucky enough to see the Northern lights from my igloo. The staff is very friendly and the food is fabulous.

We had an amazing time at Santa's igloos. the staff were all really friendly and helpful. the igloo itself was really cute and the underfloor heating useful for getting wet clothing dry really quickly. I didnt realise but we had half board food which was a godsend as the food is very expensive. The breakfast buffet was varied and the dinner selection whilst limited was yummy and all lactose and gluten free. the northern lights alarm was really useful - we got to see them twice during our stay! the mini sledges to help get the children around were helpful. my only criticism was there isnt much storage in the rooms

A wonderful experience. Friendly staff and great food. The inclusion of breakfast and a main meal each day was a wonderful addition.

A true winter wonderland getaway! Cold and snowy, but perfect all-around, from the location close to the airport and Santa's Village, to the wonderful igloos, to the views, and the food! Already missing it.

This was a fantastic place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and cozy. If you're traveling to Rovaniemi, definitely consider staying in one of the igloos.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very well appointed and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Easy walking distance to main areas of Santa village and was great to be able to order taxi directly to your room especially when checking out with lots of luggage

This place is good, but for the price the services they offer are not that good, check-in is very late and check-out is very early.
For my wife and I, the worst thing about this place is the restaurant service, it is very expensive, and it is incredible how small the portions are, they are practically ridiculous, maybe they take advantage of the fact that once you get there, there are no other options except If you have a vehicle to go out and find another place to eat.

Had a fantastic stay at this property. Great experience enjoyed by both parents and child. Walking distance to Santa clause village. Lovely breakfast lots of choice. Would love to stay again

Staff was very excellent. Very helpful and welcoming. Igloo was a bit tight and not well organized for the size. Floor had very nice and appreciated radiant heat flooring. Bathroom has a poor shower design allowing water to escape into main area causing floor rug to get wet. Sauna was excellent even if a little cramped. Igloo has tablet for communication with staff and placing room orders/ requests, however it was hard to get it to come on and work correctly. More over the tablet was tied to the wall and made typing awkward at best with it getting stuck at times. Staff made the stay excellent despite igloo issues. Beware there is no hotel transportation to and from airport or other main locations although the village is a short and comfortable walking distance.

Great property. I would recommend getting a room with a hot tub for the total experience!

It was a wonderful experience! The place is beautiful. The igloos are super cosy and have a spectacular view of the sky. We stayed two nights, and, unfortunately, we could not see the northern lights from the igloo as it was super cloudy. Some people managed to see it on tours on one of the nights, but we preferred to stay in the igloo because even without the lights, it’s a fantastic experience to sleep under that sky in the warmth while there was so much snow and -12°C outside. We were also lucky to have so much snow at the beginning of November that brought a lot of magic to the place – it was the first big one of the season! We highly recommend the hotel for the friendly people that work there, igloos and location – just 5 minutes walking from the Santa Claus Village!

It looks amazing, was a paradaise in the snow for my kids !!!!

Great service and nicely decorated igloo. Our first time staying in an igloo and the aurora alarm helped us waking up from night time and see the northern light successfully. One must try staying at an igloo at least once in a life time.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, when I booked this place in the summer of 2022. But it's a half igloo, it's expensive, but I couldn't wait to give it a try.
Yes it is expensive, but I wish we had stayed two nights instead of just one. The 'igloo' part of the 'house' is rather small but enough. The bed there is for two, plenty of space. And then there's another room for the other two with a small window. Then there's a shower/bath and closet. It's cozy and warm. We didn't see the northern lights though, it was cloudy the whole time. But it's ok. It's still pretty at night when all the lights are off.
The location is very close to the Santa Claus Holiday Village, but you'd still want to take taxi because you wouldn't want to walk that far with your luggage in the snow.
Our reception was EXCELLENT. We were able to check in two hours early! The lady was super nice! There was a cute added two gnomes as a gift. They helped us with our luggage so we don't have to pull them in the snow to our 'room' which is like a duplex but you don't hear the neighbor at all.
Service was great, no phones but they respond with the iPad given in the room. We wanted a taxi to go into town and the taxi came very quickly.
Breakfast in the morning was also wonderful, plentiful, and delicious and not crowded at all.
I would stay here again, but more than just one night, hopefully get it on sale! :)

The only thing that would make this place better is if they turned off the lights at Santa’s Place at night so you could enjoy the igloos more. Otherwise beautiful property

The hotel was family style so facilities were busy most of the time. The breakfast was ok, though there wasn’t anyone to welcome guests or offer coffee. The location was good and in walking distance to the Santa Clause village. We arrived a little before check-in time, the room was not ready so we completed paperwork and went out for dinner. When we came back we were told we have free dinner but until 5pm or 6pm. We wished if we were informed and welcomed to dinner before heading out. We could have stayed while the room gets prepared.
