We arrived with the warmest of welcomes and a beautiful venue. Our room was fully stocked with teas and coffees and the offer to restock from the pantry if we so needed. The coffee was delicious and so was the sloe gin in the room. The food was incredible, well priced for the area and the service was spot on. We look forward to traveling back to the area and rebooking.

This is a very difficult review to have to leave to be very honest!
The Kings Arms is a very nice place, and there is a lot to like. The food is very good and the staff were, by and large, excellent!
But this was a rare night away from the kids for me and my wife. And unfortunately we encountered a number of problems with our room which ultimately meant a not so enjoyable and restful nights sleep!
Things happen, I get that. But how we deal with them and try to resolve them, is how we are remembered.
Disappointly, the problem resolution was unsatisfactory, as was the case afterwards too!
Admittedly, they apologised, and offered us a discount on our next meal there. But this was meant to be a special night away, and as such, with the issues we encountered, I would have expected more. They wanted to show us what they can do to make it right, then a refund or replament night away would have been the least they should do.
But what do we know. We're just the customers, the customers who spent on a night away, drinks and a meal.
Can't help but feel disappointed with the outcome. It's left a sour taste, when there was a great opportunity to put it right!
As I say, a lot to like. Just not when it comes to problem management!
Such a shame!!

The property was very good and every thing had a touch of class about it. The amenities were very good, shower pressure in the room was great, the environment was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and staff were very friendly. The only negative at this property is the boiler constantly making noise every hour which meant we did not have a good sleep in the room (Mowbray)

Beautiful boutique hotel with lovely restaurant and bar. Probably need to book as very busy. Hotel pillow to hard but replacement soft pillow was available and shower head needs changing (which is being addressed). King size bed with a pull out mattress if needed. Would defo stay again

Overnight stay before flight from Heathrow. This pub/hotel beats the faceless airport chain hotels hands down. Only 25 mins to terminal
Public areas and rooms done in a very lovely style and comfortable.
Only niggle is that our room was at the front facing a busy road and as summer heatwave 2 had hit we needed to keep windows open so it was quite noisy.

Horrible small in bar area - not sure if it was stale fliers or blocked drains

I highly recommend to experienced a night stay here to London traveler.

We booked 1 night at The King's Arms on our way from the western countryside to London Heathrow for departure. The staff were friendly, the food in the restaurant was exceptionally good - Lamb Chops in the evening with a fine bottle of French red, lovely English breakfast in the morning. The room was comfortable, with upscale furnishings, a fantastic shower, and a hand-held bidet! Highly recommend!

We booked this location as we spent the day at Thorpe park and just wanted somewhere to stay for the night and have something to eat. We weren’t expecting it to be so nice. The pub is beautiful. Inside the decor is second to none, there is thought in every detail. Our room was gorgeous. Loved the little touches, including the complimentary gin. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was amazing and everything was just perfect.
We also ate at the pub and sat in the menagerie which was just so different. We had an amazing 3 course meal. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We would love to return and would highly recommend it for a nights stay.

The service in the dining room was very poor. We had to wait for nearly one hour for our evening meal.
The bathroom had limited privacy as it had glass door and window. This will look all right in a showroom, but not practical.
Overall the stay was pleasant.

We had an issue with the Hot Water in our room and were promptly upgraded to a Beautiful roomy suite!

Really comfortable room with everything I needed and some nice personal touches. Friendly staff - I would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful little hotel this is. Such a friendly welcome, and the room (including a small 'sitting room') was really lovely, including lots of little details such as some sloe gin and 'lavender sleep spray'. I was very sorry that I was on a business trip and only staying one night.
The only downside to be aware of is that the hotel is next to a busy road, and so if you're a light sleeper it might not suit you. The room, helpfully, had ear plugs but I couldn't use them because I needed to hear my alarm in the morning.

Great rooms and excellent food

Hotel room was beautiful and staff were lovely.
Only downside of the room was the shower doesn’t really get hot but imagine that was a environmental thing.
The room was stocked with everything you would need, a great mixture of hot and cold drinks. SmartTV was great.
Breakfast was lovely. Lot of options, somethings weren’t included with the breakfast like fruit juices.
Very convenient if going Thorpe Park, 10 mins away.

Staff were excellent, evening meal and breakfast was really lovely.
The room was decorated beautifully.
Only negative was the bed was very firm which meant I didn’t sleep very well and there was a green light in the ceiling which was bright with all the other lights off which disturbed mine and my husbands sleep.

Excellent customer service. Every member of staff was helpful and welcoming.

Comfortable, well-equipped, spacious room and ensuite in an older pub that was tastefully decorated and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food in the hotel was also excellent. All-in-all a very pleasing experience. The perfect place to stay if you need to be near the airport for an early flight, full of character - more preferable than an airport hotel.

Made a last minute decision to cycle to WIndsor for the Jubilee Weekend and lodging options were limited. However, King's Arms was fabulous! The rooms are beautiful; very well appointed. The food and service was amazing - their menu is quite diverse. My partner is pescatarian, but she had plenty to choose from, and my meals were fabulous. Breakfast for guests was also great - the vegetarian Full English was as good or better than the traditional offering. We will definitely come back!

We loved lots of things about the kings arms but what we found really annoying (and is a personal pet hate) was having a bathroom with a glass wall. No-one needs to see their partner on the toilet!
Other than that our stay was lovely but this did spoil a romantic night away a little

Beautifully appointed. Very helpful staff. Lovely food and lovely location for a quiet drink. The only disappointment was the darkness of the room due to limited natural light

We stayed here to attend the Windsor Horse Show. Check in was friendly and easy. Use of space was excellent with the decor adding atmosphere. Shower was the best we have found in UK. Only downside was towels not changed until we made a request and even then they forgot. Breakfast was good as was the evening meal. We had a great stay and are intending to stay again next year

Generally a lovely inn. However, better detail in the attic suite as seating in beanbags on the floor and still hit head on sloping roof, doors small, could use a cushioned pad to prevent a potential head injury and bed is on the floor. It would not suit anyone with mobility issues. Having said that food is delicious and breakfast brilliant.

This is a very special place to stay. Food was first rate and the room delightful and beautifully decorated.

I stayed overnight for my daughters graduation at Royal Holloway University. Had an evening meal, breakfast and lunch at the Kings Arms.
Great, quirky room - wet room bathroom with the sort of shower you could spend all day under but not ideal for anyone with mobility issues and the seats were large bean bags.
Excellent food across all three sittings; bar had a very good selection of gins and draught beers; service was consistently first class; everything oozed quality. All over, very impressive.

Only needed a room for 1 evening. The pub is great, the restaurant and staff are brilliant, the bedroom that we had was very nice but also a little quirky. Still very enjoyable.
Would stay again.

This is without question one of if not the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever stayed at. Friendly professional staff, stunning room, gorgeous breakfast. Absolutely first class at a very reasonable rate.
