For an overnight stay there isn't much to complain about. It's clean, budget friendly, service is pleasant and the parking is well lit. The beds are a bit hard but it's a 2 story motel so that's not a surprise. I believe the establishment was refurbed inside and out so it looks brand new. I recommend it for a quick stay.

The room was clean and there were no bugs - which is technically all the matters to me. It wasn't anything special, but again; it was clean and quite. The location was great and close to everything. Con: We were passing through for work and I needed to print a document. The lady I spoke with was sweet but said she couldn't print anything for me. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice. The fridge didn't get cold at all.

Very pleasant and clean motel ! The young lady at the front desk at check-in /out was friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my room…the room was so clean, it sparkled. Everything looked brand new. The furnishings are perfect for the room, a “minimalist” design and had everything for a relaxed stay. The space is efficiently designed and had a small sofa /table, desk, fridge and microwave. The shower was walk-in and very large. The bed was comfortable. Everything in the room appeared new, including the flooring. Everything was in working order and clean as could be. The parking lot is well-lit. I arrived after dark and felt very safe as a solo female traveler. I’ll definitely stay there again. This trip was for a cruise from Galveston, which was an easy 25 minute drive to the cruise terminal.

Unfortunately, our sheets had not been washed when we arrived. We had to go to the front desk and ask for clean sheets. She gave us clean sheets but did not offer to change them or any apology. When we got back to the room, she had not givrn us clean pillowcases so we had to go back and ask for them. The free breakfast was not good, only two very small muffins in cellophane, like Little Debbies. We were very disappointed with this hotal. We thought about asking for a refund.

No breakfast was offered even though it was advertised. Location was just off I45, however surrounding area was questionable. We only booked for one night. If I needed a longer place to stat, I would select another hotel.

When I booked this it was called Palace Inn. We had stayed here 2 other times. I assume new ownership hence the name change. When booked it said breakfast included. All they had was coffee and juice. No coffee pot in room and no kleenex. We will now look for a different place to stay before our annual cruise out of Galveston.

Nice place to stay for the night but when it comes to their amenities like breakfast, it was a very sad breakfast that was not to be had. We went in to have some breakfast and they did NOT provide it, even though their listing states Free On-site Breakfast.

room was very clean, property has recently been updated, breakfast was Little Debbie snack cakes, tv did not work and we had to have someone come assist, this hotel was noisy because you can hear everything in the rooms next to you - the tv, normal conversation, the toilet flushing, everything. Overall it's an ok place for a quick night's stay, I would not want to stay here for more than one day.

The Lone Star will get the job done but its the bare minimum. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable. Sheets, towels, and comforter were extremely thin. It could definitely be cleaner but it wasn't gross. Walls are thin, if you have loud guests next to you - you will hear everything. At one point my key card stopped working. The front desk replaced it but didn't ask me my name - kind of worrisome. About an hour from IAH, lots of places to eat surrounding the Lone Star. If you arent picky and are staying a short time then this no frills place will work.

We were missing the soap dispenser in the bathroom. The gap in the door made us feel a little unsafe. You could see the light come through at night. We had a great experience otherwise including immediate help with the TV.

It was a smmoth seamless check-in. I didn't even take us 5 minutes from start to finish. The staff wss vrry friendly snd efficient. This is our second tome to stay here. Very clean rooms.

The property staff is very nice and quick. The motel is very clean and surrounded by restaurants, Krogers, cvs and gas stations. The water was great pressure and had good hot water. I was very happy to stay here. It was also conveniently located to all attractions. Definitely recommend staying here.

This was under new management, less than a week ago. but we were pleased with our stay , The breakfast was lacking a little but over all ok. We like to stay here because its central to Margo Lar / Lagoonfest and the outlet mall. Everything is fairly close.

Very clean, quiet property. Very close to places to eat. They have both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Expedia needs to update the address. They gave me a smoking room by request, but I did not find a single ashtray in the room.

This is a great hotel and I love the bathroom and the shower. It's a glass door walk in shower and the water gets so hot like I like it the air conditioner works well and the toilet also flushes great it's a pretty new hotel. Very nice people and clean.

Sheets blanks paper thin, towels was small and not enough, three small pillows for a King size bed, was very clean, breakfast was not great honey buns and muffins thats it.

This was one of the BEST hotels/motels we've stayed at in a LONG time for such a GREAT price. It's hard to find a nice, clean, & comfy place for such a GREAT price!!! Forgot to add Handicap to our reservation however, they were able to get us one. BONUS had a shower chair too, those are hard if not impossible to find at reasonably priced places :) If we are in the area again we will for sure be back!!!

The fact they demanded cash deposits with no receipt for a 90 year old couple and had to have it searched before it was returned at check out was insulting! They were helpful with them but seriously unbelievable. Need to update their policies on the website because nobody has cash on hand. It’s basically a room with a bed and tv and bath. Across the street Days inn gets lots of transients and such. We took a risk booking. It served its purpose but wouldn’t do it again. Also calling my cell numerous times after using hotel.com defeats purpose of guaranteeing rooms!!!

Overall the hotel was basic but clean. I was there for fishing so I didn't need anything fancy. The deal breaker for me was the guy running the front desk. He was abrupt and rude. He is behind a thick piece of glass with a voice hole and is hard to hear with my 50-something ears and he took offense at it and was just rude when I had to ask him to repeat himself. When I called for the WiFi password, he not so politely reminded me that he wrote it on the card wallet. Okay, I should have looked there. There are so many choices in the area that I won't stay there again just because of his lack of politeness.
