Was a great experience in an old hotel

Very nice, historical place to stay. Very easy walk to downtown.

The house was absolutely beautiful! Something out of a fairytale. Now the cleanliness is a different story the room was dusty the sheets were a dingy yellow color and there was hair on the pillowcase, we chose to sleep on top of the bed spread with our own towels on top just to be safe, there was also a ton of bugs everywhere i believe them to be kissing bugs which made for a restless night, there was also an air unit in the window that wasnt properly sealed which is where the bugs seemed to be getting in and also was letting in a cold breeze. Overall i had higher expectations but i was sent an email stating they were short staffed, so i guess that's why the room wasn't up to par.

It was a nice area to stay. The owner was very sweet and accommodating. Close to downtown Trinidad. It was great

The visit was amazing. The owner helped inspire an atmosphere in the hotel that was very friendly, with convivial conversations at breakfast. In all, the accommodations were relaxed and comfortable.

Tarabino inn was wonderful!! We had the Trinidad suite and everything was top notch. Dave was extremely kind and generous and helped us out in a pinch. 5 stars! Stay here on your trip to Trinidad!!

We were very satisfied with our stay. It’s an old house with lots of character - updated where necessary but still has plenty of the original details. The breakfast was delicious, and conversation with other guests and with Steve was very enjoyable.

The friendly host greeted us at the door, making us feel so welcome. We had the lovely Garden Suite. It is on the main floor and next to the bathroom. This was perfect since my companion has trouble with stairs. She brought her service dog and this suite had its own access to a private backyard. Our stay was perfect!

It was a trip with my mother and we’re on our way to Casper Wyoming and decided to stay at this place and enjoy a quiet beautiful vintage place. Very clean! Very enjoyable. And great hosr

Fabulous old building with so much originality. I was especially impressed with the extra space available in the rooms. Owners were great and very knowledgeable about the area.

I really enjoyed my stay at this inn. It is an old Victorian house, so you need to be the sort of person who enjoys that. You won’t be comfortable if you want everything to be modern and up-to-date. But I really enjoyed it. The innkeeper is friendly, and the continental breakfast was very good. I enjoyed chatting with the inn keeper and the other guest. I would stay here again, if I were passing through Trinidad.

Although we only stayed one very quiet Sunday night at the Tarabino Inn, we loved the historic architecture, quiet house and neighborhood, and convenient location to main street. Our host was very nice and we would definitely recommend staying here while in Trinidad!

I'm in Heaven! I grew up in an old house and being in this b&b makes me feel like I'm back home. The house is incredible with amazing woodwork and vintage features!

We are actually still here and we love it. We totally lucked into this but will definitely recommend and come again! This is exactly what all the other five star reviews say. What a hidden gem.

Very charming property

The Inn is beautifully restored. The suites are large, with separate sitting area, quiet and clean. The mattress was very comfortable. Also liked that the inn was walkable to restaurants, shops, museum. We had a very nice authentic Mexican dinner at the "Mission at the Bell" restaurant on main street. We also enjoyed the A.R. Mitchell museum (free). A few small suggestions that would have enhanced our overall experience: (1) the water pressure in our bathroom shower (deep clawfoot tub with shower attachment) was very very weak. Should be increased, or perhaps a different shower head would help? (2) The small window airconditioner in the bedroom was set to 60 and was working non-stop, but the room was pretty warm. To be fair, it was extremely hot outside, and Steve had set up a standing fan next to the A/C to keep the air circulating, but may need something more powerful if we continue to have these hot summers. (3) The continental breakfast was OK. Liked that there were hard boiled eggs, bananas, and a banana bread. Suggest providing real milk for the coffee (versus non-dairy powder), setting out a few china mugs from the cupboard in addition to the "to go" cups, and maybe a loaf of wheat bread (or english muffins?) and a toaster, with some nice jam, and/or dry cereal/granola, yogurts... i.e., fresh options versus the packaged applesauce, canned peaches, canned pineapple rings. Small things, I realize, but the small touches matter when staying in an elegant inn.

Staff was friendly. Cool idea but the fleas or black jumping bugs all over the ceiling was not good. Its hot inside took forever to cool down but did sleep good considering the bugs... lots of bugs.

What a cute Bed and Breakfast!! We loved the flash to the past. We had the room on the main floor with a nice little sunroom off the back. Bed was comfy, bathroom was in the hall, but just for us. Lots of coffee and quick breakfast items to start the day.

Very fun to step back in time for a day! I particularly liked the push button light switches! I had not seen them since I was a kid! Stairs are a committment to climb but the carving and detail is worth taking note of.
Have brunch on the sun porch!

Steve the Inn Keeper was very friendly and informative. Lovely place to stay even though the town was pretty much closed completely on a mon/Tuesday.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the lovely, old Tarabino Inn. Our downstairs room was large and comfy, but we missed the description that our bathroom was detached, so be aware of that. Things we enjoyed: Continental breakfast, in-room teapot & coffee maker w/nice coffees, half & half in the frig (!), spaciousness with sofa sitting area. Things we wish it had: Handrail for the two steep sets of steps into house, a fan to move the air in the room (no a/c or ceiling fans), did not enjoy claw foot iron tub (hard for us to get in and out of), a smart TV with no live channels.

Great location, beautiful home and amenities. Very hospital and welcoming.

The property was lovely, but a dog barked outside at a neighbors house until 3:00 AM. I notified the host and they planned in talking to the owner.

Lots of character, chose to stay a second night on my way back through town a few days later. Beats any hotel in quality of service, convenience, beauty, and overall experience. Quiet and has great views. Loved the history too.

It is a turn of the century home that is truly beautiful and amazing.

The 115 year-old home was stunningly beautiful. The mahogany woodwork throughout was an amazing touch of luxury for this home at the time it was built.

We planned a brief get away with a goal of learning more about Trinidad and it's history.. The Tarabino Inn suited us well. The location within walking distance of the unique buildings, museum, shops and good dining options was perfect. The hosts were available and responsive. They provided great recommendations for dining. The basket of snacks, beverages and home made treats was a welcome alternative to a cooked breakfast, giving us the opportunity to experience local restaurant offerings.

The Inn was beautiful inside and out. We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Sorrentino Suite. We loved sitting on the veranda outside our suite. Beautiful scenery especially at night. We even walked to Rino’s Restaraunt for a fantastic dinner. The next morning we were given an on the go breakfast which was perfect for our hike that day and provided snacks and water all day.

A beautiful property and a lovey garden room with sun room and small backyard.
Bathroom outside of room was a drawback.

Absolutely one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever seen. Super clean and the interior and accommodations were excellent!! Like going back in time to your grandmothers home! Hospitality at it best!

We arrived to a beautiful inn. The whole place was a step back in time. We were greeted at the door, shown around, and gifted a beautiful basket full of breakfast goodies for the whole family. This place is a gem. From the bedding, accommodations and hosts, I highly recommend! The views are amazing and in a good location.
