Relaxed friendly stay
We couldn’t fault anything at the guest house - the staff were brilliant always checking with us if it was convenient to clean the rooms - the pool was well kept and it really was a home from home stay

Good amenities, Great Location
The location was fantastic. I walked less than 10 minutes to the Umhlanga Park Run. On my walk I saw security patrol cars in the area which reassured me of some level of safety. The unit I got had all basic amenities for self-catering including pots, utensils, a medium size very cold fridge. Zero check-in drama. The owner was really friendly and nice. The unit is clean at surface level when you walk in but there is room for improvement.
Cleanliness could have been MUCH better. The unit had roaches. It had a very moldy musty smell. I opened the sleeper couch to find old biscuits and lots of dust in the couch indicating that the couch is not thoroughly cleaned. When I opened the couch, it smelled musty because it’s not cleaned well and that just added to the already bad musty smell in the unit. I had initially opened the couch so that my daughter could sleep on it. I decided to be the one to sleep on it because I didn’t want her getting sick from the dust and dirt on the couch, it was better if I got sick. I had to cover the entire couch with blankets before I slept on it. I found cockroaches in the bathroom. The unit I was in was also next to an outside tap. The staff used that tap for water and when they walked there it was so loud because there is loose stones outside. So when they went to collect water you would first hear the loud “crunch crunch crunch” of footsteps, followed by a loud “BRRRRRRR” of water hitting the bucket accompanied by loud giggling and chatting as the people need to speak louder than the sound of the water. If I were the owner I would sleep in the units at least one or two nights a month to understand the true state of the units.

AMAZING
The location is amazing, close to malls, the beach and anemities, but still tucked away in a quiet street to give you the holiday atmosphere. The accommodation is clean and presentable, it has an office desk with chair to cater for a buisness trip and you need to keep working., wifi is fast and sufficient. The Staff and owner goes over and above to assist and make your stay amazing. Communication is very good and instant, They were so accommodating, with our requests and flexible, and went out of their way to assist and make our stay amazing. Thanx Natasha and Lihle, you girls are amazing.
Nothing we didn't like...the parking can be a problem if it's fully booked, but their instant and pre communication assists with this very efficiently

OGH
The pool area is beautiful! It is home like, I liked that. It is safe!
There were no spoons in our room or anything to stir. The door handle, key hole part was falling off.

Superb
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. In a very good area. Can walk to the beach front from the place (about a 1km walk). Pool area seemed very nice (Did not use). Is quite. Had necessary items to be used such as pots and pans, iron ad board. One emergency lamp for loadshedding.
This is not about the host or the venue itself, but about other GUESTS and the shared parking. One must be careful as you can be easily parked in, as in my case. The other guests decided to park me in and leave for the day, and this prevented me from leaving.
