Twenty minutes from downtown Mobile and its restaurants and breweries, this cottage is the perfect location for relaxation. With easy access to all the Alabama Gulf Coast has to offer, this is a property you will want to return to, again and again. Please note this cottage is basic but functional. Nothing "fancy" about it!

A feeling of warmth and comfort came upon us the moment we walked inside the cottage. Laurie made sure that we felt welcome. The cottage was older, with charm. The sunroom was where we were 90% of our time, watching shorebirds and ship traffic. We will definitely be back, God willing!

My aunt and cousin wanted a weekend getaway to be able to relax and catch up. This was the perfect place for that. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and for the home to meet our needs. I will definitely be back to this location!

As advertised property with everything needed for a stay on the gulf coast. Host (Laurie) was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to anything we needed. Check-in/out process was easy and painless. Would easily recommend for anyone wanting or needing a place to stay in this area.

The view of the bay was amazing and it was centrally located to all the places we wanted to go. There was a park and a pier within walking distance which was really nice! The house itself had a few things in it that need repaired or replaced. There are not many dishes there so it would have been nice to also have something to wash them with besides just the dishwasher. Laurie was great and her checking in and out process was very smooth! She also left a nice and informative letter for us.

We enjoyed our stay at Driftwood cottage. The view of the bay across the street was wonderful to wake up to and the host Laurie was very sweet and accommodating. The house was an older house that reminded you of being at grandma's house.

Perfect location to view the bay (25 yards away from the cottage). Peaceful and quiet just what we needed. Would visit again.

We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the birds and the water. It was so relaxing! The location is convenient enough to go into Mobile or other nearby areas easily but far enough from the hustle and bustle to be quiet. The host is great as well.

This was a great find and will definitely come back. Great location, very clean and comfortable, had all the basics needed, super comfortable beds in both bedrooms with luxurious sheets/pillows, was perfect for the 3 of us. Very small bathroom but do-able with tub/shower. Wonderful to sit eating at the table, looking out the picture window across the street at Mobile Bay's activities, as well as sunrises. Laurie/owner was on call and very helpful with anything we needed to know. It is an older cottage, so if you're looking for ultra-modern, this is not the place for you. But if you love quaint with character, which we do, this is definitely the place for you!! We loved it.

My husband and son toured the panhandle gulf coast playing golf and viewing the Air Force and navy planes and ended up at mobile bay with a beautiful and comfortable cottage right on the water. Perfect for sunrises and sunsets and golf in-between. Just perfect!

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at this property. The location was amazing. Watching the sunrise from the Florida room was possibly the highlight of the trip. Communucation with Laurie was top notch. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfectly decorated with its surroundings. The property was well maintained. There is a bunny that lives at the property, so you can feed him. We enjoyed having our coffee in the screened in porch while watching the sea and all its beauty...If you're looking for a place to stay in the area, don't look any further> This is it!!!!!!!
