The staff were absolutely incredible! They went above and beyond for us in every way. When we came before check in after a tough night on the camino, they gave us a room right away. Then, when all of the restaurants were closed, we bought soup mix. The laxy at the front desk ended up making us the soup and washing our dishes afterwards. We can't rate this hotel high enough for their great hospitality! We would 100% come back!

This hotel was centrally located near a quiet park in Santillana. It was an easy 5 minute walk into the historic centre where there were great bars and restaurants. It was also only a 2.2km walk to the Caves. The hotel had good parking and the room had everything we needed.
The staff were very busy with a bus tour and it felt as though we were a bit of a nuisance. The breakfast was very average.

Reasonably priced hotel in a small, remarkably preserved old town which is a major tourist attraction. The hotel is only a short walk from the historic parts of the town. Mid-September the hotel was quiet, so I could park at the side of the hotel. Nice helpful receptionists.
The room and bathroom were small, but adequate.

Sometimes it's not the place it's the people in it. This was my experience with Hotel los Hidalgos. My husband had a very bad fall in the street and broke ribs ,had an overnight stay in hospital and we had to stay 5 nights instead of 1. The kindness shown to us over that period of time was exceptional. The night I returned alone from the hospital, they provided me with dinner and a much needed glass of wine. So kind. I will always remember the people here with fondness. Thank u all so much

Because the hotel had a school party in they gave us an adjacent to the hotel which was excellant
It is not a village by the sea but Comillas 10 miles away is on the coast is well worth a visit

Our reservation was amended to the hotel opposite Los Hidalgos, but under the same ownership.
The owner and all staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We would recommend this hotel without any doubt whatsoever.
There was nothing to dislike.

Nice little hotel close to the centre of Santillana and numerous places to eat and visit. Rooms are simple and comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good (toast, fruit, yoghurts, cheese, cooked meats, juice, coffee etc).

we don't usually eat breakfast, but the location was excellent and the room great. Hotel was really lovely with all the old world charm.

Very friendly and professional stuff!
No Internet access in the room. Very simple breakfast (a hotel, more in the center of the town and just beautiful offers much more and better for 30€ less!!!!!) and feels like the place needs a renovation.

Bathroom was clean. Free parking in front of the hotel.
The smell of mold was horrible. Bed sheets were stained.Glad we were staying there only for one night. Packaged pastry for breakfast.
