Outstanding hotel and staff.

Possibly one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in, and i have stayed in a lot over the last 20 years. The room was fantastic, the hotel staff were wonderful and the breakfast was without doubt the best ever. While having breakfast, the views of the beach were outstanding. If it's possible to arrive and just pay for breakfast i would certainly think about it, as i don't stay far away.

16:00 check in time would be my only negative view on this hotel.

Overall a very good stay

Great location, reception staff were great. Breakfast was amazing . Wifi was good . Room was quiet .

Poor quality wine in swimming pool bar. Annoying to receive an email after booking to say that construction noise may be disruptive.

Excellent hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Comfy pillows. Bath as well as a shower, with a hand-held shower attachment was perfect for me as I have little balance to stand in a shower.

A toilet brush in the bathroom would be good. Queue to check-in was very slow. More coat hangers in the wardrobe needed.

Calpe, lovely

The quality of the hotel was very good. The room was large and had a stunning view. We picked a sea view room. You could have slept a whole family in the bed 😁. We only had breakfast at the hotel but again the quality and variety of the food on offer was excellent the only comment that does lower the score is the hot food was not hot but tepid. There was a microwave to reheat but I didn't have much of the hot food because the choice of cold food more than made up for that. Parking at the hotel is discounted but still pricey so you need to factor that into the cost of your trip. The hotel being adults only was a real boost for us. The staff overall were very good and by and large very well trained. Well done

The two main things I did not like were the checkin procedure. It was long and drawn out, why use one screen for details on the computer when four will due ☹️☹️ I do think they should look at it because we also checked in online but still had to go through the extended checkin procedure. There were building works opposite the hotel whilst it is not the hotels fault or within their control to affect it but if we had been informed we would have deferred our trip until it had finished. It was loud and did disturb our enjoyment of sitting quietly on the balcony looking at the view. So we will not be back until those works are complete.

Exceptional

The hotel is brilliantly located and managed impeccably. The room was very large with a massive bed and a fab beach view. The food was such good quality at breakfast and dinner. Although catering for large numbers, there were no queues and nothing running out.

We are local and had no idea that the Sol y Mar was such a great hotel.

Check in and check out was efficient. We even got an upgrade. I am very happy my son is staying for a week in June. Breakfast was outstanding.

everything. new renovated rooms, amazing massages, beautiful little gifts in the room ♥️

although I booked massages for over 200 Euro, I still need to pay „entry for the spa - almost 40 Euro for 90 minutes“ is WAY to much!

Good

Bar and drinks were great. Bar staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was great, huge selections of food and drink. Staff polite and friendly. Room was big, way too big as it was for disable person. But it was quiet and comfortable. Wasn't 100% clean tho. We did leave a comment explaining our suspicions. Reception staff apologies profusely.

Not as “special” as the hotel used to be. Bathroom products very basic; a measly two coffee pods provided in the room each day - we bought supplies from the local supermarket - and towels could be better quality.
