Do not go there…

The property is around of ruined houses. No access to the beach. Far from downtown.

The food service is constrained. The bar does not opened until 6pm. The food is spicy

good nice cozy resort, restaurant has more potential. beautiful location.

breakfast was simple but good. could start earlier instead of 7.30. last day at 7.30 there was still no coffee and the staff was busy preparing the restaurant. staff was friendly. you can see that the personal touch of the owners is what makes this resort run. beautiful location. very close to the sea. swimming pool was in my opinion too deep. you can only use the pool if you know how to swim. otherwise you have to stay at the poolbar side. the restaurant has a lot of potential if the menu can be a little bigger. no steaks on the menu. room was good size, bed was great. aircon worked perfectly. no desk in the room to place my laptop. wifi was good.

housekeeping must improve. i had a pizzabox that they placed back on the refrigerator. a used plate they didnt remove. it seems they just made the bed and mopped the floor. towels were placed on the bed. terrace was not cleaned at all.

Gem of a resort tucked away in a local Bajan neighborhood away from the busyness of tourist areas

Breakfast was the best value on the menu always fresh with generous portions. Location was off the beaten track and tricky to find without a GPS but very convenient to the airport and a very relaxing vibe. The hosts were always available and very interactive with guests and concerned with ensuring a good experience at the property and very personable.

The biggest surprise was the restaurant under new management not affiliated with the hotel had changed all prices from Barbadian dollars to US dollars which is a 100% mark up based on previous reviews. Also did not like that there was no association between the restaurant and the hotel so no charges could be added to the room. Bil had to be settled at each interaction which takes away from the relaxing atmosphere of the property.

Auswahl beim Frühstück zwar nicht besonders groß, dafür wurde alles frisch zubereitet. Herausragend die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Rezeptionsteams, es wurden alle Fragen beantwortet, Tipps für Ausflüge und Transportmöglichkeiten gegeben, Taxi zum Flughafen besorgt - TOP

Sowie die Mitarbeiter in der Rezeption durch Freundlichkeit aufgefallen sind, so wenig freundlich war das Personal im Restaurant. Die Bitte nach einem weiterer Tasse Kaffee wurde mit "it takes a while" beantwortet, der Kaffee fand dann allerdings, nachdem er von der Küche geliefert wurde, den Weg zum Tisch nicht.

- Traumhafte Lage direkt am Meer, ruhig, sehr schöner Pool, geringe Anzahl von Gästen, - ansprechende Bauweise, unverbauter Meerblick, - herrliches Zimmer mit großem Balkon - kleines, gemütliches Restaurant mit gutem Frühstücks- und Abendessen-Angebot, - sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal, das jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen versucht

A great place to relax and recharge

Peaceful and quiet with amazing views and sounds of the ocean. Very well presented and unusual architecture along with beautiful artworks

Attractive looking resort. Peaceful and relaxing. Well maintained Fantastic staff

There was nothing that I didnt like but there are things that could make the stay better. Could have a table & chair inside room as balcony was too hot to sit outside most of the day Water in shower wasn't hot, just lukewarm. No TV in the rooms which aids relaxation but a TV in a public area would be nice to catch up on major news and sporting events etc. An optional inclusive meal plan

There's no place like home, but Blue Ocean Resort is a close second.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Our flight arrived late in the evening and manager Leesha was there to greet us along with two staff who helped us with our bags to our room. She went above and beyond to enusre our stay was comfortable even giving us her own food as we arrived after everything was closed. The meals were not your average resort bulk food fare. The waitstaff were attentive and fun leaving us with smiles on our faces. The resort was clean and well kept. No surprises when you got to your room. The premises were also well maintained. Luxurious while still feeling welcoming and warm. Again I cannot stress how the staff went above to make us feel. My mother had accessibility needs and they even ensured the right type of vehicle come to pick us up. It was the attention to detail and their concern that really won us over. Very good

The staff with the most friendly, and courteous. They assisted me with all my challenges, the hotel is beautiful, and they have tight security and a lovely view of the beach, pool and happy hour 5-7pm in their bar. Great breakfast. Very very helpful staff, you will love them

You have to walk out for 5 minutes to catch the bus/taxi, therefore, I recommend a car, there was not any TV in the rooms.

Short but fun and relaxing

I loved everything, staff, food, drinks. I had a cocktail called the Ronnie special which was amazing. Staff were friendly and always available for questions

It was a bit out of the city which was great for me but my wife would have loved to be closer to the city. She wished the ocean was okay for bathing

I booked this resort because it was very close to the airport. I had a long layover and unfortunately JetBlue canceled my flight and did nothing at all to help me rebook. So instead of having an 11 hour layover I actually spent two nights here. And thank God, I had booked this resort! the hotel is stunning, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the staff and all departments from the front desk, to the bar and restaurant, to the housekeeping and management is superb. Leisje, the manager/owner truly went out of her way to make me comfortable and make sure that I was OK. She even took me out to see a local band and we danced and had a threat time all night. I had an awful time at the airport with some very rude locals, I never thought I would go back to Barbados. But staying at this resort has changed my mind. I think I have a friend for life and I will definitely be back to Barbados and I will definitely stay at this resort. In fact, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!!

Very good

Needed a nice hotel by the airport and this was perfect. By the airport but right on the ocean and with a nice pool. The grilled chicken and breakfast was excellent as was the service.

The resort was clean, organize, everyone was friendly and had a great experience.

Me and my wife loved the atmosphere of the resort. Check in was friendly and fast. We loved the food also everything was delicious but by far the best thing is just having some amazing variety of drinks and just relaxing near the pool. The owners were amazing hands down the best resort we have been too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who want to get away and relax and enjoy some drinks.

Absolutely tranquil setting.

The owners, Liesje and James, are wonderful people. They have the opportunity to share their dream entrepreneurship with everyone. This place is a hidden treasure and everyone that strives for a peaceful vacation should book an adventure at the Ocean Blue Resort. You’ll will not be disappointed!!!

A special zen place that restored our souls and found a place in our hearts.

This is a destination resort, really. On the edge of the sea, no beach or tvs, it was a total surprise. Architect-designed, the undulating whitewashed walls mimicked the waves and were adorned by an impressive collection of local art. Rooms were spartan but wonderful for a zen place, good beds and great pillows and super pool. This is a business owned by a local family impassioned to offer the best customer service possible.It is in a quiet area, but minutes by bus to Oistins and the Gap. The Marco Polo Restaurant onsite, run separate of the resort, offered good food such that we had absolutely no reason to leave for five days. Just read, swim and luxuriate in a space it will take a long while to find again. Unlike the typical hotels, large or small, here guests were interested to meet others and expand their world view. What more can I say, it was love.

Well, the cocky rooster might get his act together and know that 3 a m. is not dawn (tic)!

Amazing resort with wonderful staff at a great price

Leisha, Lulu and James were such amazing hosts they made us feel like we were part of their family. The resort was very clean and tidy and very peaceful with beautiful Ocean views. If like us, people are after a secluded location with a Mediterranean vibe its a great place to stay and only 15-20mins away from main places. The other staff members like Kemar were very helpful as well as Karen. They helped us with any enquiries and advised us what to do and where to go. The staff made sure we were well looked after and ensured we had all the facilities available to us inc clothes iron, hair dryer and even hair straighteners. Tea and coffee regularly topped up in the room. Clean towels on demand and lots of places nearby to eat. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we will definitely go back again to the same resort without hesitation.

We found the restaurant on site quite expensive even though its not part of the establishment, and we were disappointed with our pizza and home cut chips on our first day. Maybe we expected more from such a big name.
