Our stay was amazing! Fantastic location. But the best part was the staff. They are extremely accommodating and helped us out a lot. Amazing service. The rooms were lovely, exactly what you are looking for. I highly recommend choosing this location to stay in Iquitos. It is worth every penny. Thank you to the female staff member who helped us out with out flights.

Staff were nice at the front desk. wifi was great. Front desk staff were extremely accommodating. Very happy with the service.

The rooms were super smelly like mold. They were stuffy and extremely crammed. There were no windows. It was very claustrophobic. The bed had stains on it. I was scared to get under the covers. The floors smelled and felt terrible. The fridge was gross and old. The bathroom was so incredibly small. If you opened the door you have to Tetris your way to the toilet and the sink. The shower was tiny and it was like being locked in half a jail cell. Overall very uncomfortable. The pool looked pretty but was on display for everyone so I didn’t feel comfortable going in.

They charge extra money on top of Booking price which was overv 10% of boking price . You have to be ready to pay more than you see price on Booking .com . Very slow personel even for Peru :) You need at least 1h to be served .

El Dorado is very conveniently located just off the Plaza de Armas in the heart of Iquitos. It’s in a great location.

I stayed in this hotel 5 years ago. Returning this time I was disappointed. Five years ago it just about justified its three stars and was a cute reasonably well priced hotel. Sadly the standards have fallen. The swimming pool now has tiles missing, the waterfall no longer functions and rats inhabit the planted area which borders the pool (which by the way is also an eating area). The breakfasts which used to feature plenty of choices including hams, cheeses and fruits now consist of eggs, toast and coffee … no other options. The staff are pleasant but undertrained and not really all that attentive. The fixtures and fittings throughout are all very tired. When we arrived they tried to fob us off with two rooms without windows! We were able to resolve that but it should not have ever been something which needed to be resolved in the first place.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful sorting out unexpected problems like taxi to another hotel in another city I was to travel afterwards. My Spanish is very basic, they called the other hotel on my behalf and translated what I needed. A walking distance to the shopping centre with nice restaurants and the beach with surfing courses available ad hoc.

The employees were friendly. The room was nice and had a great air conditioning . Good breakfast .

I was on the 4th floor and fronted a busy ,busy street. Across the street, about 18 ft is a casino open day and night! Hundreds of tuk tuks and motorcycles go by every hour! Loud noise 24/7! Nice hotel but ask about the room first!
