If you have any other alternatives, take one. This hotel is undergoing renovation (and from what I’ve read, it’s been ongoing for a couple of years). Our room was one that had an “updated” bathroom, but it was shoddily done - paint splatters all over the floor. The rest of the room (and hotel) seemed stuck in the 90s and smelled funny. The pool and weight room were closed. The bar/restaurant was closed (except for breakfast). The “game room” had wires and cables hanging down from the ceiling with notices to parents to watch their children because of it. When I booked the room, I only read a couple of the low star reviews - saw that they were complaining at the lack of an exercise room and pool, but since we were only there for a night on our way back home, I figured it didn’t matter; we didn’t need a weight room or a pool. It’s a La Quinta, after all, and I’ve always had good experiences with this chain. I’m frankly shocked that they’re allowed to keep the name. I left a pair of shoes behind (a favorite pair) and when I called the next day to see if I could send a friend to get them, they claimed not to have found them. Actually, I called the next day, but the housekeeping staff had already gone home, so I had to call again the day after that (which leads me to wonder why there isn’t a centralized list and found that is accessible to the front desk folks). It was the *only* place they could be since I’d worn them there, but wore a different pair home. Won’t be back.

The renovations are coming right along.

Horrible service .. didn't have our reservation and when we showed them the confirmation we got from hotel.com, they said that's not true .. only has 1 room when I order 2 ... They where somewhat nice and trying to make it right but I felt very degraded by them ... They didn't charge us for the dog but I wasn't even told there was a few for the dog in the 1st place .. The whole hotel is under construction... Broken pieces of tile everywhere our room was across the hall from the renovations... Which started @7am ... The pull out sofa was a twin mattress not enough space for 2 young kids . Didn't even have sheets that fit it plastic was still on the couch and the bedding gave my son a rash .. even tho they said there is a safe for your belongings there wasn't and trust me when I say u would feel a little better having one in this area of town . We had reservations to return to the same hotel when we left our vacation trip and on our way back home and we cancelled them... They made me feel stupid cause I booked on hotels.com and not thru there hotel directly. Don't stay here ..

The hotel was fine. The staff was friendly, the check- in and out was fast. HOTELS.COM is not. On the Hotels.com website there was no mention of the hotel being under construction. All amneties were closed. On the La Quinta site these details are mentioned. I will never recommend HOTELS.COM. The price was the same as the La Quinta's website and it wasnt any cheaper. I reached out to HOTELS.COM and they offered to cancel the reservation for $200. Do not use HOTELS.COM

The hotel is in the process of renovations. The washroom in our room had been renovated however the rest of the room was very tired and a little worn down.
Breakfast left a lot to be desired!!

Horrible experience. Never again. Check in took forever… common areas were dirty and run down. Literal holes in the floor. Room was not too bad but I was concerned bc common areas were so bad. The fire alarms went off bc a “guest” was smoking something in one of the hallways. Lots of sketchiness. When we were in our truck waiting for the building to be cleared for re-entry at 1am. We were propositioned by a Lot Lizard !!! This is more like a Hotel then a Motel !!!

The room was filthy but the bed was clean, the bathroom smelled like cigarettes, the furniture was worn and tattered and the carpet was beyond gross.

This hotel has been under construction for more than a year... and it doesn't look any better. I stayed there in Aug. 2022, and again recently, Dec. 2023. Same areas are under construction. The pool area was under construction in Aug. 2022, and still is under construction TODAY! The room I stayed in was supposed to be one of the renovated rooms. Well, I called the front desk because I thought they put me in a room that wasn't cleaned. Someone from housekeeping came up. Although I could tell that the bathroom has been updated, the bathroom floor was dingy looking, the sink counter had dark finger print on it and the shower floor had spots on it. She insisted that it was clean because cleaned it with bleach. She says these stains will not come out. She wiped the bathroom counter and shower floor and sprayed some room freshener. Yes, some of these stains would not come out, because I pulled out my Lysol wipes and tried to get them out too. So, the bathroom was the only area in the room that was renovated (poorly). It didn't even have a toilet paper holder in the bathroom! So, it seems that the crew that did the renovations were sloppy, spilled stuff, dropped paint, touched the granite with dirty hands and didn't clean up when they made a mess/mistake. And it appears that the hotel management thinks this is OK. I will not be staying there again. Oh BTW, none of the furniture was replaced. Same dirty carpet and curtains too.

Property was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy at this property. Front desk woman was an absolute beast to deal with. They kicked me out for calling Expedia for my money back. No refund. Property was under construction but maybe one of the worst most unprofessional construction company’s. Broken tile and metal studs in hallways. Smoke alarms beeping. Open. Doors of room wide open with dust going everywhere from construction. Property’s amenities were all closed. Worst hotel experience ever. I’d rather stay in a trash bin.

I was charged $75 dollars for an unknown fee. I contacted customer service. This lady who kept saying there was static in the phone said I would be reimbursed with a day and would send me an email confirmation. I asked her, her name and she never provided it in stead rushed me off the phone. I never received an email confirmation or a reimbursement as of yet.

This property seemed like it was nice when it was new. And I personally witnessed all the construction occurring now as part of a renovation. However, we stayed in the part of the hotel that was not renovated yet and it appears like it has needed renovation for quite some time. It looks like it is at least 10 years overdue. Maybe 15. The last time I stayed in a hotel in this condition, I think they were running a prostitution ring out of it.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so the review is based on that. The area is a mess, the older room, which hopefully we were in, was in poor condition. Patches on bathroom wall, debris from construction in toilet, poor lighting, electrical outlets etc. Elevator was in bad shape, hallway an obstacle course at times. Staff at check-in was great, front desk helpful and sweet.

Tray was wonderful at check in. He was friendly, and sincere when he welcomed me and went out of his way to inform me of the amenities and helpful when I asked about the area. Although they are renovating, you would not know it except for curtains blocking off an area. It was very clean and the bed and linens were perfect.

Very old and dated, under construction everywhere. Room carpet was filthy, you could see the dirt stains. Biz Arthur curtains didn’t close. The parking lot ligjts lit up my room like there was a Christmas tree glowing.

I was happy that they allowed me to check in early. I appreciate that and the rooms were very spacious and clean

We had baby cockroaches in the drawer and a huge spiderweb on the window sill. We were given an older room that was in bad shape overall. The hotel is renovating the entire first floor or lobby area and the pool was also closed. The town has the beginnings of a homeless camp on the riverwalk where the hotel is located. The staff were extremely nice and helpful.

This was not a great place but for one night traveling through I could deal with it. The carpet was damp in my room and my friends.

The hotel is being remodeled. The price was excellent for this timeframe. I will stay there again!

The room I was given had hair all over the soap holder and they moved me to another room and the other room had a puddle of water on the bathroom floor and broken cabinets. I complained to the front desk They gave me another room and the 3rd room was better than the first two. I will not be staying at this hotel again. They need to train their cleaning crew to do better and make sure rooms are good before assigning them to guest. Thankfully the front desk guy was nice enough to keep switching my rooms but I shouldn’t have to deal with that at all.

Okay this day was okay. The place is still under construction very breezy at the front desk but wasn't sure where the front desk was at first because of the construction going on. There is no real exit or help for people who don't take the elevator they had to exit out of the building to go around. Not very safe to do that. Breakfast was a little different wasn't a whole lot to choose from lots of eggs sausage but not a variety. Bathtubs are a little rusty inside really need to get that updated.

Hotel has been upgraded over the last several years and is a good value or the price. However the area across from the front desk is behind curtains and detracts from the lobby appearance.

The absolute worse hotel thx to “April” the front desk lady (dark hair heavy set, and wears face eye masks at the desk)
Anyways… she made our visit awful.
She lied to Expedia claiming she fixed issues (clogged toilet, plumbing, ac, etc…) she never did! The hotel is under construction with little plumbing. We were shoved on the pet floor even though there were extra rooms. They never picked up the cleaning lady garbage and was left outside every room for over a day. Our toilet never flushed- even though “April” told Expedia she fixed it. Never was fixed! So we checked out a day before because the stench from the plumbing and non flushable toilet was unbearable
Only for April to Hang up on the Expedia associates. She also lied AGAIN and told Expedia - that I never checked out. And when we did check out, we asked for a receipt. She told us there’s no way to produce one.
Any way. Best part!! I buried us checking out and all of the lies sce claimed.
Submitted them to Expedia
April… you produced pad karma for yourself.
Best part… we have
