This hotel was very dated. It is in desperate need of a renovation. The pillows were tiny and hard as rock. The tub had stains on the bottom and the shower spout globed stated out rather than sprayed.
The breakfast buffet was subpar. Eggs were the liquid ones, potatoes were soggy.
Should have been a much better experience considering the advertised reputation of the hotel. I would not stay again.

If you look closely in the corners where ever you are it is dirty . In our room the paint is peeling of around the window / the curtains are in such poor quality / misfit they did not close properly as soon it was light outside it was light inside / in the bathroom we had a shower with 2 shower heads one dispensed only cold water the second one the handle / knob was coming off / no security lock on the door .This hotel is in desperate need of a huge clean-up all over . It is so sad to see this beautiful hotel getting in such disrepair.
And the worst when checking out ...
I had booked online to pay at the hotel and at check-out time they were charging me more then what it was suppose to be . PLEASE PLEASE EVERYONE check your final bill before leaving .
On a great note we had dinner at the redwood and it exceeded all our expectations the food was so good and the service impeccable they took care of my allergy with excellent care thank you so very much the the staff of Redwood !!!!

Stayed on ground floor, rooms were clean as can be, old, runned down, beds are uncomfortable, stains throughout room, continental breakfast would of been nice, but hours for a weekend doesnt make sense, should be till at least 1030, went at 920 and was told it was pointless since they were removing everything in a couple mins.

It is very outdated. The heater and vents were very dirty! Bathroom is very dark and shower had hardly a stream!

Nice water slide and pool area, breakfast included. Nice and friendly staff. Clean beds, sink, toilet and tub. But the building has seen better days, it could use deep cleaning and some renos in the rooms: carpet in good shape but felt like it hasn't been cleaned in a while (just vacuumed), rust on balcony door knob, washroom ceiling and toilet paper holder; water spots on ceiling, mold spots in shower tile grout, and the flicker in the washroom light made it worse.

This hotel definitely shows its age. We just booked this for the water slides and pool area which the kids loved! The rooms were clean. The breakfast was mediocre and closed down hard at 9:30am (you couldn’t even access the coffee after 9:30am)! The pool view rooms are loud while the pool is open. The room service food from the casino restaurant was also mediocre and overcooked. Not my ideal hotel stay, but the kids thought it was awesome, because of the pool and water slides!

This property is really showing its age. We opted for a poolside room and the walls were scuffed up and starting to heave at the seams, our toilet wasn’t working and needed maintainece during our stay, the poolside patio was dirty.
We were disappointed that the hot tub looks permanently closed down, and one of our 2 days at the hotel the pool was closed 11-4 for cleaning.
The staff, however, were all extremely friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was really delicious and hot. Overall just would like to see better communication on closures and some much needed renovations

Call before going - the hot tub was not working - if I want to sit and watch my kids go down a slide 75 times i would prefer to do it in a hot tub. We would have cancelled had I known. Food was great and the staff were very friendly.

We have stayed at this property for over 35 years but since being taken over by Wyndam it has gone downhill which is sad to see. The pool area needs to be completely redone as it looks horrible and the hot tub just has a board over it since Covid and still hasn’t been fixed. Staff are also annoying if you don’t have a bracelet for the pool which never use to be.

This has been the worst experiences staying in a Canadian a hotel in my entire life! Hotel charged an additional $150 for damages to a room for drawing on the walls after I explained I was staying with my 46 yr old wife and 21 yr old daughter. Absolute theft of stealing your erspnap credit card information and have been reported for complete incomepetence. It is no wonder this property has endured so much bankruptcy over the past 20 yrs with these employees and managers in place.

The Medicine Hat Lodge is an older hotel that is showing its age. Maintenance has fallen behind and renewal and modernization is required. The staff does the best they can but taking 45 minutes to get our room keys reprogrammed for our second night is to long. Five parties in front of me and 45 minutes later it was my turn. A good cleaning of the pool is required as there is a yellow scum on the tile at the water line.

My room was not clean at all. Large amounts of dust hanging from ceiling vents. Tub didn’t drain right. Not vacuumed and other people’s garbage found under and around furniture. The hotel is old with no upgrades. The water slide looks like it is falling apart. 10:00 quiet time is a bit much. For the price of the room I will be staying elsewhere for less in a newly renovated hotel next time.

Downgraded for extra cost on my room. To be fair i had dogs, but i went from king suite to double bed plus a extra 10 bucks because they didnt have suite i booked where animals were allowed.

Downhill in last 5 years, breakfast is gross, no pancakes anymore, sausages were not beef or pork...my friends bed was broken other Friend had bugs in room, hot tub closed, also closed last stay we were here. New managment and u can tell...high room prices for the state of these rooms. Been coming here for 26 years n prob not coming back after this one.

Booked a pool side room...Didn't get it. Hot tub is gone. Sauna is gone. Water slides and kids pool were very cold. The breakfast was like truck stop food. Tried to pass off some yellow Flon with dribbled cheese as eggs. Sausages were over cooked and hard. Croissants were cold or still frozen. For a $188.00 ??? Never again

The staff was amazing. The property not so much…. We booked the most expensive suite available for our weekend away and our room was filled with dirty, old furniture. The arm chair was yellow and white with stains but it also looked like it had a blood stain on it. There was a nasty white splatter on the curtains which looked like you-know-what. There was a steam shower was kind of cool but you could tell it was old. Maybe it was from the original build and it smelled like the sweat of a hockey team. The lamps on our bed side tables would zap and spark anytime the table was touched or they were moved. Our bed was hard as a rock and the springs were jamming us. The pool was why we came but the deck looked so unpleasant we decided to not even enter. Overall rating 3/5 with a recommendation for a serious reno and furniture upgrade.

Too many complaints to type. From check in to food services. Staff care little, management cares less. I asked to talk to a manager at checkout. That was 5 days ago, they still have not called

The hotel is feeling old and tired and could use some upgrades to the beat up rooms. A very pokey springy mattress takes away from the enjoyment of paying extra for a king room. There wasn’t enough staff to keep up with the complimentary breakfast.
