Great location, lovely art deco hotel with spacious rooms......but needs painting and new carpet in the hallways. Why they don't keep on top of properties is beyond me!!

Convenient to local transportation. Room was very clean and quiet. One minor issue was location of outlets for phone charging.

The check-in process felt slow at the front desk, but overall it was pleasant once it was my turn. Our room was smaller than expected. The shower had good pressure but the temperature fluctuated both hot and cold frequently throughout. Our housekeeper went above and beyond. I was very pleased with her. She was very kind and did a wonderful job. The doors do slam shut which was a bit frustrating as the people in the room next to us were coming and going til 4 in the morning, which provided us a restless night. There were ample elevators thankfully with security monitoring guest activity. We appreciated the location of the hotel to Times Square and the train station.

It was great to stay in a hotel in a good location, with a ton of interesting history attached, friendly and helpful staff, and polite other guests, too. I stayed in a suite, which was spacious and had an excellent view of the city. If I had to point out something that could be improved upon, the bedding was a little rough, but otherwise no complaints.

The room was tiny. For two people, it w tight. No coffee makes or min fridge, unless you want to pay extra. Additional fee on 35$ per night when we got there. God location if you want Broadway and access to subway. Free internet.

My stay was good. The room was comfortable and considering the hotel's age, it's still fit for purpose. The only thing that concerned me was the photos of the room posted on this website were not the same as what I got. But it was still a good room, a bit small though. The hotel had good access to the subway, so traveling around was not hard. It was close to Times Square and Macy's too. The members of staff were all friendly and helpful. No one was rude at all. I liked that a lot. I had multiple issues with my keycards though, they get easily demagnetized so I had to change them four times, throughout my seven-night stay. It wasn't too difficult to do so, it was just a bit of a hassle at times. Overall, I had a good stay at The New Yorker. The history of the place is unmatched. I'd stay again when I come back to New York City.

It was exactly as we expected- very cool art-deco style, old but not run-down, and the kids especially loved the view of the Empire State Building from our room!
