This hotel was so dirty and disgusting that we did not stay. They did give us a refund

Initially i asked them if they have any room on the main floor. They denied. They said the room i booked is on the second floor only. It was not mentioned on Expedia. The room they gave me had another person in already. I put my key in to open the room door and the guy opened the door from inside .He was shocked..i was shocked at night. then they changed my room. It wasn't a pleasant stay.

Room had a terrible smell. Felt very uncomfortable in the room the entire time. Water pressure on the sink was not great. Bathroom floors very sticky. Breakfast had limited to no options.

Beds are to soft and the rooms need updating

Very nice kind people, accommodating. The property would greatly welcome some freshening up. Beds first.

There seemed to be some unsavoury people around the property but didn’t feel unsafe. The back door was left unlocked for some reason which was a bit disconcerting. The room was clean, lacking a hair dryer and coffee maker.

Place is run down and needs a makeover……bad

The price was great . Close to lots of restaurants and cab. Staff very friendly. We will stay again

Check in was fast and easy. The girl at the front desk was friendly. Room was quite large. The beds were very comfy. I slept very well. The view out the window was nice. All in all a great stay. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay was awesome! We had Jody, our concierge who was kind, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and just made our stay very comfortable. She went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. This was by far, the best stay we have ever experienced at this Econo Lodge in Orillia.

Smelled like cigarettes and not very sound proof

I don't usually leave reviews unless i feel it is important to do so. But I thought I should share this. This hotel is very dated however we thought we would give it a try. When we walked into our room on the second floor it looked as though the beds had been layed on as the top covers were all messed. After looking a little closer we saw vomit all down the side of one of the box springs. When we entered the bathroom there was feces in the toilet and also something that we couldn't identify running the whole length of the inside of the tub. I went to tell the front desk clerk about the situation in the room and she seemed bothered that she had to end her call on her personal cell phone to deal with me. She said there was only one room left but she didn't like to rent it out and she could go with me to look at it before we changed rooms. When we entered the room on the main floor to check it out, I was almost knocked over by the intense heat and smell in the room. I quickly exited the room and the clerk said that there were no other rooms available as they were fully booked. Unfortunately we were not able to book another room anywhere close by as it was late in the evening and ended up having to drive 3.5 hours home after our concert. We were horrified by the conditions in this hotel.

Once moved room outside of traffic side, it was good.

A little run down but clean and comfortable.No hair dryer, coffee maker. Just a comfortable bed and lots of hot water . Good value for our needs.

I stayed here many years ago and frankly it was ok back then, however today the building needs a full make over in every respect of the word.

Very cold. Kept turning the heat up. Didn’t help. Could use a comforter or duvet on bed. At first couldn’t find the handle to flush the toilet. Looked like bloodstain on shower curtain. Cable for tv crazily coming through wall. Husband said had enough to hang yourself. Don’t know if I’ll go back

The beds were terrible. The room was dirty. The breakfast was terrible because there was only the choice of toast, bagels and yogurt. The place was quiet though.

Toilet and counters had cigarette burns on them . Beds were different sizes, our TV and cable box didn’t have outlets close by to plug in , my box spring was all torn. Next step up from homeless . Receptionist was nice though !

Needs upgrade…ie the bedding, the mattresses, carpets

Some of the furniture is old and needs cleaning or to be thrown out. Just a little too warm out. Could be cleaner.

The room smell smoke, I am allergic, so I left after spending few minutes there and went to a different hotel.

They take a deposit and warn you that they will keep the deposit if you smoke in the room, but then you go in the room and it smells like an ashtray! The walls have yellowed and there were cigarette burns on the sheets! Terrible

Not bad for the price. The place is older. But the staff was friendly and the rooms clean

Carpet was dirty - room smelled. There was no view from room. Chairs were dirty. No security lock on door. Mold around window.

If you ever saw a dive hotel depicted in a movie, this was the inspiration for it. Dont get me wrong the staff were awesome. Were friendly and kind and helpful. The room was horrible. Poor repair, no plate on a outlet, lamp plug hanging half out of the wall against a matress. Faucet in tub was broke. Box spring ripped, horrible dirty rug, smelled, bad mattresses, every piece of furniture was damaged, marks on wall, was horrible, horrible fabric everywhere. I didnt even want to lie down. Oh my god it was dirty, the rug, the chair, oh my god, horrible. It is a slum motel. I will never go back. Kodos to the staff for working in such conditions. Yuck
