A convenient stopover with much needed refurb being undertaken with minimum
disturbance.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful, but this property is in need of renovations. Ripped and dirty carpets, worn out chairs, old exercise equipment.

Bed wasn’t comfortable bathroom split and small quarters

We were there to attend a dance with 200+ other guests. Check in was easy and fast and our room was fine. The 55" TV was OK, but there didn't appear to be any local TV stations. The only way to watch TV was by streaming via and app from a mobile device. The restaurant was very busy for supper, but we were able to sit in the lounge and have a couple of drinks with friends while waiting for our food to be served.
The free breakfast in the Bistro Restaurant was incredible. Fresh hot food served cafeteria style by the hotel staff. Grilled potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, bread and lots of fresh brewed coffee.

Room was overall clean. Finding a dirty sock next to the bed was not ideal. Breakfast was really great.

We arrived at the hotel. The room was not what we had booked. We booked 2 queen beds and got one with an uncomfortable pull out. There was no hot water for showers. The outside doors were always locked and wouldn't open with room key.

The staff here are exceptional and you can’t beat the location in Truro. The details are looking shabby but the services onsite, staff who went above and beyond, and the location make it our Truro winner.

I needed a warm safe place to stay for the duration of the snow storm. Everyone was gracious and very helpful. I love the aesthetics and decor.

Great service. Really appreciated the nice lady that checked on our TV. Nice property. Only complaint was the 200 deposit that was not specified before we get here. Caused an inconvenience. Property is being renovated. Room very clean.

The room I booked in October, on Expedia, was described as including: Grab bar near toilet Raised toilet seat Wheelchair accessible Wheelchair-width doorways None of these were present, which was a problem as my wife is severely limited in her mobility and requires a walker. These issues, and others (dirt on the bedding, no internet) were described to the desk manager. I see that the description on Expedia has not changed, and thus continues to be incorrect. I wrote to the hotel about these issues, using the online contact form, but got no response.

Travelling with a pet is challenging; the Inn on Prince makes it really easy. Thank you for the comfy beds, pet accommodation and delicious breakfast.

Disappointed to find out that the hot breakfast isn’t available due to lack of staff, and the pool was open tonight only - and the hot tub is out of service. The booking site did not have this information; no price adjustment was offered.
The room is fine, the pool was cool but clean. No other issues.

We stayed here due to power outage/storm where we live in Pictou County. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, food in Bistro was very tasty. Room was quiet. Will definitely stay here again if needed.

Room was large, comfortable and clean. Beds were good. Pool was nice altho hot tub under construction. There was a kids activity area that was also not usable. Breakfast was plentiful but not very warm. Overall great stay

I stayed one night, traveling from Ontario. The hotel was just fine, clean and quiet. The restaurant serves a nice evening meal and the free breakfast was above average in terms of choice and quality. The staff was helpful.

Would have nice to be warned there was a function with loud music right underneath our room keeping us awake until 1am however apart from that we would highly recommend this hotel.

I know it is a little late, but I want to give a special shout-out to the lady and gentleman serving breakfast.
They very friendly and professional demeanor was much appreciated. Especially, pleasantly surprised when the gentleman stopped by table during breakfast to ask if everything was okay and if I needed anything -- nice touch!

It is a reasonable bargain motel. It needs a refresh. Breakfast had all the expected options but was bland; in-line with the property. If all you need is a clean bed to sleep in then this is your place. If you are looking for anything above average go somewhere else.

On a positive note the beds were really comfortable and the food was really good. The breakfast was great. Unfortunately it’s an older building and we found it hard to sleep with the noise the heater was making. As far as hotels go I’d say this one is just ok.

Toilet didn’t flush and had to be moved! Dirty and dusty will not be recommended by me!

The cleaning staff wasn’t consistent that was my biggest disappointment and the price of the food from the restaurant didn’t align with the quality of the food for the most part the stay was good and I would return and next time voice myself as I really didn’t during this stay

A couple of odd things: I found the place a bit of a puzzle to figure out how to get around in because of the layout of the floors. Also our room was weird with the room entrance basically between the toilet/shower and the sink/towels.
That said the staff was friendly and helpful, it was very clean, the breakfast area / Bistro was really nice - we had supper there one night and it was great.
The location was also really good. A large grocery store and a liquor mart right around the corner and a bunch of local restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance.

We were not advised that the pool was down, ahead of time, nor during check in. If we had known the pool was down, we would have chosen somewhere else to stay.
