The front desk lady was not having a good day I believed until the next day I realized that it must be her normal self and I didnt appreciate her personality. I own a pool and I know how the water should look. Their pool needs to be drained with fresh water and maintained, it was horrible. We were there 4 days and for the first time we all ate the same breakfast for four days in a row since the whole town was shut down due to the season. The frozen pancakes where terrible, the edges were hard like a rock, the ham looked discolored and I was afraid to even touch it. Our room had a musty smell when we arrived, we dropped of out luggages opened the window to air out the room for 3 hours and it helped. One of the cleaning ladies must be a mute because when my wife asked her for clean towels after using the same ones for three days she made a dirty look and didnt say a word. The only pleasant person was the front desk lady at check out. We will not go back, even if free!!!!

Stayed one night in off season. Only two hotels open in town and only one restaurant. Staff was wonderful. Bathroom had stained ceilings, trash from last occupant was left in the storage cupboard, bed wasn’t centered in platform. Lots of towels- clean but clearly in need of rotation out of service. Hair dryer was filthy. Is what it is.

Thought it was really stupid for the clerk to tell my handy capped husband to park in the rear of the hotel bc the room was toward the back. Well, now he had to walk from the back to the front to the elevators, then all the way to the back again. This was just too stupid to comprehend. Went down to the breakfast at 930 to find it was over at 9. Pretty early for breakfast. And that you stopped having a nice hot breakfast too. That is why we booked this hotel, we used to stay here and you had a nice breakfast.

We came for our anniversary. Our room was not cleaned so went to a new room that the tv and frig were not working. Our third room was ok however the jetted tub was filthy, there was bloody greasy fingerprints on the blow dryer and on the back of the bathroom door. The breakfast was so poor, we chose to go out to breakfast and spend money we shouldn’t have had to. Our experience at this hotel was the worst stay I have ever had.

“Free” breakfast started at 7!!! WHAT? The local ferry leaves at 7:30 and you have to be there at least 15 minutes early…so no breakfast for us and we booked this hotel for the breakfast! 😠 The room looked like it hasn’t been dusted in years! Nearly an inch of dust on the baseboards and the top of the side tables and tv stand was filthy! The view was nice from our lakeside room but the cigarette smoke from the person in the room below us was horrible! Said they were a non smoking hotel!

Hotel is very dated and in need of repairs/maintenance. The rooms were clean, the pool was nice and warm and the hot tub was large enough to accommodate several people.

This was a girls weekend trip. Was a blast. Knowing it was off season, we made the best of what was available. Definitely enjoyed the off season price of the room. Loved the lake view as well. Only complaint about this hotel was the front end staff was rude. Failed to tell us the end time of breakfast or where it was served. The website said 10am, in fact it was 9am. Over all, definitely would stay here again.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay at this property the first week in March. Staff were very pleasant and efficient with our checkin. Our room was fine, despite having a bit too much furniture that prevented our getting the luggage carrier into the room. Bed was comfortable. The layout of the bathroom is somewhat unusual, which could be an issue with those having limited range of motion in their shoulders with using the toilet. There was no place to hang towels after use other than over the shower rod. Breakfast was available in a very spacious area on the third floor and offered a nice selection. Only comment would be the need for signage to the dining area as you get off the elevator on the 3rd floor.

Hotel is a little run down. Shower curtain was broken but usable. The table was in the room was barely usabke. The continental breakfast was ok. The staff was great. The pool abd hot tub on site were nice. Access to the small indoor waterpark across the street was a great bonus. For the price i guess it was worth it, but in no way would be happy paying peak season rates. 89/night seemed about right.

Great customer service but one of the pillowcases was like shredded on one side. The “gym” pictured is less than stellar has a broken bioflex machine.

There was no signs anywhere to tell u where pool was/continental breakfast room or even where ice machines were. This was frustrating

Stayed here for one night. Friendly front desk ladies. Our room and hotel in general felt pretty clean and spacious. Walking distance to several restaurants. Easy parking. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool and hot tub, but you should! Open until midnight, I believe. Great view! The only improvement thing I would suggest is to add some type of eggs and maybe some yogurt to your breakfast. We will probably be back!

Great stay other than our door being really hard to close and the in room coffee being really dirty. Pool was nice as was the hot tub. Good breakfast and comfy beds.

Open in winter which is nice, with low winter rates, and it’s obvious this once was a top notch place to stay in a cool town, but it’s getting a little worn and in need of simple maintenance in a few areas. Bottom line, not bad and I would probably stay again if rates were reasonable.

Hot tub was dirty and jets didn’t work. Checkout lady was super nice.

Good breakfast

We came here for a getaway from our busy home life. The hotel is huge and nice on the outside. Easy checkin. Laundry room, vending machine all near by my room. Plently of towels for two people to use for a couple days. Jacuzzi was real nice and it was big enough for my big girl body to lay flat and still have room for another person. The water covers everything. We went during winter, so it wasnt busy and very quiet. Breakfast was yummy. Loved the many choices and buffet. They have a pool and tub i didnt use those and the flyer in my room said there was a fitness room but we didnt check or see. Also it said we got 2 waterpark passes, didnt get them also didnt know they had a waterpark. Our king size bed was perfect, i havnt sleep great like that in a long time. I have no complaints about the room except wifi was terrible i ended up using my data. Nothing was open except the saloon and im not paying $45 for one person. So if you come during the winter time, go to another city for food and shops. I would love to had stay another day but we are needed back home. Ill definitely come back. My only complaint was the day of my check out housekeeping bang on the door at 9am just to see if we are still here... (RUDE)

Young lady at front desk was exceptional. Very friendly and personable. Rooms were clean and very nice.

Very relaxing the hot tub was nice. Although even though I booked in advance I would have thought someone would make sure the heat was on took 3-4 hours for the room to warm up the room was nice bed was comfy could have used a microwave and since you already have waffles how bout eggs instead of pancakes just a suggestion all in all was a wonderful trip enjoyed our room, watching the sunrise over the lake, and just relaxing in a peaceful quiet hotel. Also notes to others most everything is closed during the winter months there's a few restaurants around but more in the neighboring city of cheyboygan

During checkin, they put us in a room type that wasn't what I reserved. They claimed it was an upgrade. We went to that room and knew we did not want that room. We went back to the desk and then they gave us the room type we reserved. Wish they had just done that in the first place.

I liked how friendly and kind the staff were. The room was comfy and clean. Could use a microwave though, other than that everything was perfect. Merci
