When I called the night before our trip the hotel had no record of my reservation (to be paid at the hotel) and at that point prices were doubled so we had to go somewhere else.

Great size room, plenty of space for 4 people to stay w fridge and microwave. Breakfast was a perfect quick self-serve. Sadly, the pool closes early so we didn't get to enjoy that which was part the reason we chose this Motel

Cant complain too much. Solid price for a relatively clean and quaint room. One of our beds had a corner that wasnt stable (seemed broken at the frame joint) but didnt impact sleeping. Definatly a bit dated, but everything was functional.
Cant speak to the limited breakfast options, but we did try to go to the hot tub and the facility was a little odd. It seems like locals had access to the gym/pool as well, which i wasnt ready for. We had two pools, but both didnt seem too appealing. There were small saunas and steam rooms in the bathroom that were a plesant surprise, but we had to walk across the gym to get to the small hot tub. On top of that, the time was limited to 10 minutes and didnt seem to be enough hot tub for the motel patrons of the pool/gym. Im more used to a hotel or condo group facility if staying at an airbnb, and id say those are typically much better as they are more self-service. Overall, id say just plan for the facilities to be hit or miss, and for us it was just a miss and we were fine with that.
If looking to stay for cheap, id certainly return and recommend, just dont prepare to be amazed.

This is absolutely the worse hotel I have stayed in. Everything is just barely sufficient. Bedding is thin, mattress is ancient, wifi only works when no one else is on it - staff told me to figure something else out. The breakfast is disgusting. Cleanliness is borderline. In room phone doesn’t work and rattles. Smoke detector is on the nightstand with battery sticking out. Outlets mostly don’t work. Only slightly better than sleeping in my car.

I use this motel and spa a few times each year, usually as a stop driving north to ski from CT. I have brought my sons, my wife, and often a friend. The Indian restaurant, with homemade dishes, is lovely -- and has terrific local beers to go with dinner. While the motel seems to be recovering from the economic toll of the pandemic, there is a great deal to commend it, and the price is extremely fair.

Overall comfortable stay, no issues. Loved the king size bed. Pool an added bonus. Will consider this place for any future trips.
(Breakfast items were very limited so if you're hoping for a full continental you may be disappointed).

Check in took forever,there was two other people who had been waiting for someone to show up at the desk to check in also close to 20minutes standing there.The room was ok getting ready to check out did a check to make sure we had everything and found a spoon under the edge of bed which was burnt on the bottom took it to show the front desk didn’t seem to bother them

If you get a good too as we did, it’s good enough, but even this room had a chemical cleaning smell and white (probably cleaning solutions) stains in the headboard. Pools we’re nice, but falling apart and poorly ventilated, mold on walls.

I arrived after 8pm on a Monday night, I attempted to check out at shortly after 6 am, 10 hours later but despite sharing that I was a traveler, I was charged $124 for that brief time. This is a bit much for a meh of a place, where attempting to check in as well as out, I was told that I had to wait.

We checked in and our rooms were disgusting, stunk of mold and smoke. Dirty curtains. Just gross. homeless on the premise and those acting intoxicated. Then as we went back to the office to get our money refunded there was a lady in there crying hysterically that she wanted her money back and she was just assaulted by the pool guy. I have the encounter on video. The owner was very dismissive and rude to her. That encounter just confirmed our decision to not stay there. So we were told we had to call Expedia for a refund and not them. They told us to change rooms but this place was dangerous so changing rooms was not going to stop the problem. Seriously, DO NOT take your family here. Especially woman and kids because the guys loitering the property surely looked questionable. The poor woman who was assaulted left with her husband in a panic and the hotel reluctantly refunded her after she begged hysterically!!! I’m going to call Expedia because I need a refund as well! This place is a 00/10 so don’t believe ANY positive reviews on websites because it’s inaccurate. The photos don’t show this well but it’s a dump!

I stay here 2-3 times annually, but sadly, the place isn't being kept up, the way it used to be. At check-in, Front Desk Clerk, "Noble", was extremely polite and helpful.but the other clerk, who was respinsible to provide Breakfast on both Saturday & Sunday, was rude, and untidy; coffee was out, he refused to add more food, despite several guests asking politely, 2 hours before the close of Breakfast hours. The waffle maker was disgusting.

The hair dryer was broken The frig was repaired with tape and very noisy. The heater was so load it woke me up every time it came on. The room had a terrible smell - probably something used when trying to cover up the smoking done in room. Really choked me up. Curtains not hung on the broken rod correctly - barely closed to cover window. Very old section of inn. There was a updated section but I was put with the weekly payors even those I was alone. Should have moved but hotels were - no vacany

Overall a comfy and clean no frills kind of motel. My suggestion is that bars be installed in the shower and bathroom to accomodate an ageing population

The staff was cordial and moved our room upon request, as I had an older guest. The room was clean. The pics you see on the site are places you won't normally access at the hotel. The restaurant is different and we didn't eat there. Folks we met on site did not review it well. Our room was musty, the beds were hard and our toilet repeatedly wouldn't flush. The TV was difficult to work without instruction and the toiletries in the shower were very high to reach. I hasn't stayed in a motel in a while, so this may be normal but you could hear every car and motorcycle that drove in. Overall, you could hear the upstairs guests as well. It is located in a handy location halfway between 91 and downtown and across the street from Hannafords.

Wonderful dinner at the Masala House on the property. Very convenient. The staff, though limited, were very nice and helpful. The property seems to be undergoing some renovations.

Although i didn't have time to use them the pools were beautiful. It was odd though, i asked the temperature of pool and was told that was information for employees to know and he wouldn't tell me. There are many medical conditions where knowing temperature is important so i don't know why it was so secretive.
Don't plan on breakfast here even though it is advertised. There was hardly any food both mornings. Bins always empty. There was coffee. Buildings were rather run down and dingy on outside. Rooms adequate. Big. Nice having refrigerator and microwave in room.
Parking lot was a little sketchy late at night . I can't say i felt real safe. People running around after midnight on walkway outside room (2nd floor) and being really loud. So i didn't get much sleep at all. Someone hit a car in lot and glass was everywhere and not cleaned up.

Needed to wipe down toilet and sink surfaces. Bathroom still smelled bad. Bed was not the best. Area seemed okay. Staff was fine. Yogurt and bagels, waffles, coffee and some fruit for breakfast-that part was good.

Hairdryer in 173 shorts easily. Need to be replaced. Otherwise everything is clean and nice.

Property is a dump. It’s very old and needs to be updated. I think they have people living there full time. Did not get a good feeling about this property.

We called to see about being able to check in a half hour early so we could change for a wedding. We were told it wouldn’t be ready, so we intended to arrive at 3 so we could make it to our wedding by 4. We checked in, and went to our room, only to discover it hadn’t been cleaned yet, but was checked off as if it had been, despite it being an unmade bed with dirty towels and trash everywhere. No alternate room options were given, no compensation or apology, and we had to change in the dirty room so we wouldn’t be late for the wedding. We will not be staying here again.

Stayed for 5 nights, left with my body aching. Bed was stiff and uncomfortable. 2 out of the 5 night I had hot water to shower with, others were cold showers. Staff was alright.

We liked the dining situation and didnt have any functioning air conditioner or fan during the 100 degree stay. The window had a huge hole in it so we couldnt leave the window open for air. No management people would come down to fix the airconditioner or bring a fan. This is under a payment dispute at this time.

Colonial motel-best recommendation is to demolish it or use it for homeless shelter. It shouldn't be listed as a recommendation hotel-family owned since 1975 and it look it!. Dirty carpet, windows,lobby area old, broken toilet, walls with black marks everywhere, outside is needs a paint job, the chairs are ripped and not clean at all and unkept. Clean up your act or get out of the business. It's a real Flop House. We did not stay there at all, with all this and Very Unsafe for 2 women in this environment. I want my money back will be contacting Expedia on this.
