Overall room was wonderful. We woke up with room being 56 degrees because 2 windows were broke and open and could not be closed.

The room had a large potential lovely patio was flooded and unusable. The tv was on a side wall, making it hard to view from bed. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned, which could have been an accident—hair all over the shower wall, a dirty toilet and a broken soap dispenser. So I told the front desk and when I returned that evening the soap dispenser had been removed—not replaced—and everything else was the same.

The shower was disgusting, walls were dirty and bedding was dirty. It was not worth the price and the parking was horrible

Loved the location for this stay-cation couple’s getaway! Easy access to so many great spots for food and shopping. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful too. Kyle checked us in and was super!

Nice hotel in the middle of Iowa City. Hilton product. Paired with a sushi restaurant we didn’t have the chance to try and also adjacent to an upscale grocery store. Always nice to have a bar on the lobby floor.

The location of this hotel is very convenient if you want to have access to the ped mall. Had an issue with the parking validation but the hotel removed the charge from our card. My only complaint is the beds and too firm and if you’re a side sleeper it’s hard to get comfortable. There is no carpet in this hotel. It’s all concrete floors which makes it pretty echoey in the halls.

Awesome location! You walk to most anything you would want to do sports events, restaurants and pubs. The hotel is very nice and the staff was super friendly and helpful! I felt like I was at home!

I like the room and the location. I didn’t like the the house keeping woman constantly knocking on my door at 11:40 am when the check out is at 12.

Overall a decent stay. I was shocked that the front desk clerk who checked us in could not give directions to the parking ramp that the hotel contracts with for their guests. It was a municipal/ramp two buildings from the hotel. I will be back several times in the next few much. For the price and location the hotel cannot be beat.

The location is great - right downtown in the pedmall so you’re walking distance to bars, restaurants, and campus. Our room (on the 4th floor) had a view of air conditioners, ventilation system and other industrial looking structures. Looking down, we had a great view of the dumpster and loading docks. Everything could have just been better. The pictures in the hall had fallen off the mats, a couple lights were out, the thermostat in our room wasn’t working great, one of the shades was broken and wouldn’t go up, the dishes from the prior occupant were still in the dishwasher, the toiletries weren’t replenished, and when they did come in to drop off new towels, they put them on the kitchenette counter by the dirty cups. There was nothing horrible, but all of these little things just made it less than what it could have been. Staff was friendly.

Such a great walkable location in Iowa City. We stayed in a corner room with lots of windows and I appreciate this hotel room had a shower and tub! Very helpful and friendly front desk staff.

Loved the location. The modern decor seemed a little cold. Just not for me but that’s my only complaint. Also didn’t like the sliding door for the bathroom.

Nice staff. But our toilet didnt work and they had no one to repair it and no alternative room for us! One or the other please!

A few things I did not like about my stay where when we arrived we had to wait a little longer to get a room, everyone wanted to take a shower and there where only two towels in the room. If you’re coming here with friends or family do be warned the bathrooms offer no privacy at all. I did like how close it was to all the bars and night time fun Iowa city has to offer and it was about a 25 minutes walk to Kinnick.

Very nice room with a kitchen, loving area and large outdoor private deck. We’ll definitely stay there again!

Very nice place but has a plugged sink and reported immediately, staff at the desk really didn’t care. Kept asking and nothing was ever done, needed towels, same response. Just sad to see where customer service is today.

There was some construction that started at 6:00 am, but that is not the fault of the hotel. I would highly recommend this place. There are a lot of restaurants and shipping areas within walking distance.

Definitely disappointing.
Everything was either falling apart, dirty or missing. Like no blinds on the windows.

The lobby smells bad.

STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN

Loved the location. The hotel has the potential to be really cool. Staff was nice enough but not super concerned about hospitality. Our room was not really clean. Beds were clean and we had towels. We didn’t have soap in our room and when we asked they said it was a supply chain issue. The glass was gross around the tub. This hotel has potential though and we loved the location.

Didn’t get the room, my books, which can sometimes happen when booking through Expedia, but my room was dirty, with empty cans, a broken shower handle, and a freezer that did not work. Morning staff was very dismissive and treated me like second rate because I had booked through a third-party. Was very unhelpful, and assisting me with booking an additional stay, and informed me that I would have two hours of no room, no matter what. Very unaccommodating. Would have stayed again if it wasn’t such a terrible experience.

Excellent location, restaurant, grocery, bar, downtown a few feet away. Highly secure. Architecture and furnishings are neomodern, concrete and glass, concrete floor with throw rug. No writing paper/pad pencil or pen in room. Room in excellent condition with ever amenity--TV, frig, safe, coffeepot... Grab bar and towel rack near tub would have been nice. Based on first one night stay, can highly recommend.

The hotel is immaculate, the service was excellent, and the front desk employees were extremely helpful and so very nice. The one issue I had was the noise. The hotel's esthetic was lovely, however, the giant windows let in so much noise. There was early morning construction (like before 7 am on a Saturday!) and the birds chirping right outside the window (it was like they were in the room). I got very little sleep due to all of the noise. As much as I want to love this facility, I just can't and will not choose to stay here ever again.

Very central - great location

The room was nice. Full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, silverware, etc. The concrete floor was a nice touch considering we had our dog, it took out worry of shedding. The balcony was a bit of a let down though as it faced directly into the parking garage and didn't provide much of a view. It also had some cigarette butts on it. But if I ever go back to Iowa City, I'll probably stay at the hotelVetro again.
