First time in Cabo and this property is so LOVELY. Enjoyed the location, the pool, the whole resort.

First time stay, I thought they’d be smart to give us a nice view, but they didn’t so we probably will not be back there. Not a smart move on there part

Stunning hotel, gorgeous rooms and pool. Javiers restaurant is on the property. Service was exceptional. Only thing i wish was that I hadnt opted for the free airport shuttle in exchange for my morning for a timeshare sales pitch. To be clear the people that work at the hotel are amazing and it is never pushed on you. But if you opt for the free one way (not round trip lol) transfer be prepared to get a pushy sales pitch. Would stay here again as we loved san jose del cabo and the spotless facilities. I would just pay for the cab transport thats only 20 minutes away.

Unbelievable. Make sure you check your bill thoroughly. 33$ espressos at breakfast…A 40$ Starbucks charge they could not produce a receipt for. 130$ breakfast of smoothies and yogurt. This place comes across as grand but is honestly just another overrated San Jose del Cabo hotel price gouging guests. Avoid this place. Everything about this place screams ‘Gringo’!!!
We only stayed because we missed our flight even though we got there 2 hours beforehand.

This location is located near other restaurants in the area. You don’t get anything for free so a daily trip to grocery store is necessary for water! Drinks and food are overpriced! Pools are nice. Staff is great.
4.0
The good: beautiful property, great staff, lovely beach, rooms are large and full kitchen is fabulous.
The not so good: you have to be up by 6am to get a lounge chair and everyone else seems to do that, hoarding chairs with a hat or towel that sit unused for hours on end. They should find a better way to allocate chaises. Drinks very watery. Food just mediocre. So many great restaurants in old town San Jose or at Flora or Semillon, don’t waste a meal at the hotel.

No complaint whatsoever. Facilities, comfort, service and food all top notch.

This was our 6th time in San Jose Del Cabo and our 6th time at Cabo Azul! It is just the perfect spot and we wouldn't even consider staying any place else!
The rooms are huge and always spotless. The pool/beach area is the best. The service is over the top! We love it!

Wonderful resort. Probably the nicest we’ve been to and that

I stay at 15+ hotels a year. This is my all time favorite. Incredible building, pools and staff. The only downside is the beach is not really safe to swim at but thats most beaches in cabo. Better off swimming in the amazing pools.

* Very Disappointed *
I booked a pool view room but when we were escorted to our room, the pool view room was not the same one that they showed in the picture on Expedia, it was a smaller pool and our view was a building of rooms across from us. I feel it was the old bait and switch. When I complained about the room I was not given another option. I felt that the customer service was very poor also. I also found the food and drinks very expensive. They also do not supply any bottled water but sell high end Fuji water costing $12 US dollars. I would recommend staying at an all inclusive resort even if it costs you a little more in the long run you will end up saving money and having a better experience :)

Lovely property with great people

This is the most expensive property I’ve ever stayed in Cabo. They charge you $12 a beer to be brought to your room and eight dollars for water. It’s ridiculous. There’s a lot more better hotels you can stay in while you’re here for a lot less money I have money and I still think this place is freaking ridiculous. It’s cheaper to stay in Hawaii that it is to stay down here, check out other hotels you might like them a lot better

Beautiful grounds, great staff, comfortable room and walkability to restaurants and shopping make this a 5 star. Restaurants in the resort were quite pricey but the staff and atmosphere were top notch!

I enjoyed the property. Would have been nice if it had a few more restaurants. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

The property was extremely clean, the grounds were beautiful

My only real complaint was the construction going on next to my room located at the end of the building. My room and the entire resort was incredibly beautiful, clean and well tended to...but I was placed in a room next to active construction without any communication or warning from the front desk. One day it sounded like a tile saw cutting for hours.I couldn't have napped even with ear plugs, it was that loud.
They offered to move me, but this was day 3 and I had no desire to repack and move for my remaining 3 days.
The offer to allow me a late check out was appreciated.

We had an excellent stay at Cabo Azul!

Property has the most beautiful pools and hot tubs ,rooms are clean and comfortable ,beds are very comfortable . Food and drink prices are rediculous- happy hour is a joke two tiny margaritas instead of one larger one or two crappy small draft beers.

Amazing gorgeous place. Staff really helpful and polite. Definitely recommend

Our stay here was amazing. The food and drinks in the hotel were quite expensive so budget properly for that. However the condition of the property was amazing with lots of amenities (ie. luxurious beach chairs, rooms were very spacious with big balcony, amazing gym, etc.). The service was incredible. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms are far away from parking- beach an pool - they don’t pay atención to the room that you pick from Expedia- they give you the far away room

Wonderful staff and the property was exceptional. The upkeep was beautiful. I can't leave out the spa. It was the best. Everyone made you feel very welcome. I will definitely be back. This is now one of my best Hilton locations.

Check in is stated on their website as 3Pm but when you get there they say it is 4pm due to the " new Covid cleaning procedures". This fact should have been changed on their website over a year ago. I feel the fact we used a third party reservation site made our room check in take right to 4pm, which I can not prove. When we checked into our partial pool view room it was a view of a wall. We went down to the desk and they said our room was based on availability. I replied we paid for a room with a partial after some discussion we got a very lovely room with a fantastic view. Every person who was checking was having issues also. We were charged extra on our room and a nightly sanitation fee was added. When I contacted Hotel.com I was told the price I booked the room for was a TOTAL price and no other fees were to be charged at the hotel.

The resort was impeccably clean. We changed rooms after a couple days for something quieter and it went seamlessly. It is very pricy but worth it.

We were very disappointed with our room. It was Pool view but more like view of bathrooms and towels. We were moved later on, but still disappointed because we wanted first floor.
Food was mediocre. Especially for food restrictions like vegetarian.
However, service was excellent.
Staff were above and beyond.
Cleanliness was great.
Location was great.

Very peaceful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and walkable beach, restaurants on site were excellent.

Overcharged at checkin (should our quote for the price change) unfriendly and uncooperative
Unlikely to stay again

The Hilton Azul is a fabulous property. Has everything and anything you can ask for. Only one disappointing problem. For a premier property, I can't believe they don't provide bottled water in the rooms. They admit the tap water in not approved for drinking, then why not provide water for their guests? Quite disappointing. BTW, they sell gallons and gallons of bottled water in their store. Spend the money, Hilton, and install a water filtration system.

Update check in time to 4 pm. It’s been over one year since they updated the policy but their website and all third party sites state 3 pm check in time. This caused major disruption having us wait for hours to check in upon arrival after a long flight. The room was not ready until 4:40 PM.

Awesome. Flight issue and we booked last minute. We asked to upgrade and they gave us an amazing room with a private deck. We lived this place!!!

Here’s the skinny:
This is the flat beach of Cabo
This is located across the street from shops and restaurants
20 min ride to airport
We stayed in a villa above kids’ pool. The water slide was fun. This pool is tucked away from rest of hotel (no sign of ocean from it) we have a 2nd grader and I felt a big trapped back here and detached from being in Cabo. Limited time at this pool. We hung out at beach chairs
We had breakfast at pool restaurant & it was $7 for kids breakfast and it was great 18-25 for ours.
The staff was great. Sebastian at beachside was very kind Uriel at guard gate gave us dining suggestions:) Rolando was helpful too
Very safe location to walk to shops
FYI, the further you go from airport the more scenic Cabo is with hills and different beach scenery—either way, ocean is not anything to play in with children. Simple put your feet in and admire it.
