Good value no frills hotel nicely located for exploring town.
Rooms compact clean and tidy, breakfast included.
The only negative point was i left my language with reception staff prior to check in and had an item stolen !! Staff not very helpful when trying resolve the issue.

Condition good for the money/area. OK for 'budget' travel.

Stayed in a ground floor triple room which had everything we required. Lovely and clean immaculate bathroom. Basic breakfast but did the job. For the money on a Saturday night in London no complaints.

Stay was ok, rooms very small, breakfast was busy had to wait a while for tables both mornings, location ok

Corridor smelt, tap sprayed over floor, one receptionist friendly, one devoid of social skills. Helpful bag storage. Breakfast not great but included. Reasonable prices

We were actually surprised how nice it was for low price with the breakfast.
My partner actually said 6 out of 10 for him as it was a nice room. clean. a bit old fashion but still modern and looking nice.
Breakfast good as well!
We will be most likely coming back to stay soon again.

The location was perfect for winter wonderland, and very near to the tube and customer service was good.
The cleanliness was a little disappointing. The hallway carpets were dirty and needed a good hoover. The room itsself wasnt the best. The bed was very comfortable and clean, but the bathroom let the room down. Alot of things very rusty and dirty.
We didnt have the breakfast so cant comment on this.

Comfortable stay and fantastic value…. The only downside was no lift and facing a 61 stair climb to our room each time. Nice and clean though and well worth the money.

Super clean and comfortable. Great central location. We had a good night of rest. Breakfast was simple, but served its purpose. Very much value for money, thank you for having us.

This hotel was great, we stayed for 1 night as we needed it as a base for resting and showering to go out and explore the city.
We arrived and saw a sign on the door saying 'for check-in go to Seymour hotel around the corner'. Check in was swift, receptionist friendly enough. Had to provide ID.
We were given room 214, on the second floor, this hotel had no lifts. We had booked a twin room, and got a room with two single beds.
Everything about this hotel was spot on: location, cleanliness, amenities.
After reading all reviews, I thought we'd be staying in a rat hole, but we were pleasantly surprised. We paid something like £59 (Sunday) for room and breakfast for 2, very close to the centre of London (LONDON!!!!), in a clean hotel with a basic yet varied breakfast. Bus stop was a minute away on foot, and there were shops, pubs, takeaways and small restaurants in the area. Paddington station around the corner as well. The room was small, but had all the basics: TV, tea/coffee making facilities, phone, a small wardrobe, a desk. Bathroom was small too, but very clean, no hairs, no mould or grime. Shower pressure was very good.
I believe that most bad reviews were made by people who expect the Ritz for £50 and plan on spending the whole day in the room looking out the window maybe?
Would definitely recommend this hotel to people with common sense.

Clean room adequate breakfast. Nothing fancy but fine for one night.

Not one bit impressed

We had to check in at different hotel. Bathroom bin had not been emptied and room was dusty, headboards peeling off. Bedding clean, bed comfy, walls very thin so noisy neighbours meant we were disturbed often. Breakfast was at different hotel and was very very basic.

Good location

The property staff were very unfriendly and not helpful. Rooms were hot and loud. Could not cool down with fan. Could hear every single street noise. Super small rooms with no ventilation in the bathroom. Only thing going for this place was the location being close to Paddington station and Kensington Gardens.

Adequate. Stayed in Seymour Hotel as aparently 3 hotels in a row are the same and allocated on arrival.
Most important was relatively comfortable bed. Asked reception for an extra pillow - was told not possible until the morning. We were staying for 1 night! Road outside quite noisy as only single glazed so earplugs advised.
No hand towel, bath mat or bathroom bin. Breakfast was chaos - all 3 hotels trying to cram in to 1 breakfast room with no free tables, people standing around everywhere. Breakfast very basic but better than nothing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the room, it was clean and tidy and the bathroom was modern. As the hotel is in the cheaper range, I was prepared for something older and more dated.
The window was though moldy and there was water between the glasses, but they are doing some kind of renovation so maybe that will be sorted.
However, I found it strange that they did not use duvets, but bedsheats, and I can only hope that they are washed between each customer.
The breakfast was to our satisfaction, toast, yoghurt and cereal, but the lack of any kind of fresh vegetables or fruit was a bit odd.

Service at reception was friendly, but staff at breakfast was terribly unfriendly. Had to queue more than 15 min until free table. According to accommodation description breakfast should be available until 9:30 a.m. but staff cleared away breakfast every day right away at 9:15 a.m. choice of breakfast was very poor and less available.
When we arrived tea and coffee facilities were not filled up and dishes were dirty from former guests, towel was dirty, too an all three days the room hadn’t been cleaned

The best hotel we've found in London so far - will stay here again! Everything was clean, and staff cared about the hotel. Desk staff were very welcoming and helpful whenever we needed everything. We also felt the price was excellent for where we were staying. It was also a 5 minute walk from Paddington train station, and buses were only a very short few minutes walk. An excellent location!

We were here just one night for visiting London. The hotel is very close the Paddington Station. Fast food restaurants placed 3-5 mins walking distance. Rooms are small but definitely do their job. After check out, you can deposit your luggage to the reception freely then you could walk the London’s touristic and historical areas easily
Thanks.

I don’t believe it was listed that there is no elevator. The stairs are very narrow, steep, and winding - especially the 3rd & 4th floor stairs. This is NOT good for older people, over-weight people, or people with heart conditions, considering you have to carry all of your big, heavy bags all the way up.
I know a continental breakfast is the simple things, but theirs is very sparse.
The bathroom shower would not drain and down inside the drain it is full of mold. Mold is also in various spots around the shower.
When entering the lobby, it was always stuffed full of what looked like bags of linens to be taken away for washing.

The whole room was dirty. I had hair from a stranger/former guest everywhere in the bed as well as in the bathroom. The sink was clogged with dirt (also hair) and there was mould everywhere. The tea cups were dirty as well.
On top of that you cannot lock the room door which was very concerning when considering the prostitutes and their gang I saw outside on the street every night. The breakfast is a joke and the dining hall way too small. Additionally some people made party every night in the hall way and the walls as well as the door are not very soundproofed.
In resume I can say that I don’t need a 5 star apartment but having a clean room, door locker and a fresh and clean bed is the least I expect.
Especially with the high price I had to pay not only for the room but also for the ‘continental’ (really low quality) breakfast it is more than an impertinence.
Never again!

The hotel rooms were clean and satisfactory, however the reception staff were totally unhelpfull, tending on rudeness.
As a 70+ female I was given a room on the top floor (and no lift) up 60 stairs. The reception male watched on video security camera as I struggled up the stairs, and didn’t so much as even offer to help. As I was returning to the same hotel a few weeks later I requested a room on a lower floor. I did this both verberley and thru the Hotels.com site.
again I ended up on the top floor - again had to contend with 60 stairs.
To make matters worse, the reception male, (a different one to the first visit), implied I had never requested a lower floor.
The booking was for The White House Hotel, however on both occasions we were given rooms in the Seymour Hotel. I questioned this and was told “both hotels have the same rooms” - even so I did not book the Seymour.
I would strongly recommend that no-one books this hotel as the staff are not at all courteous to their clients, even tending on rudeness.
Also the entire time of my stay the entrance was littered with linen bags, both dirty and clean linen

It was tidy and i was happy with that.

Was given a room in the basement. Room was clean, with its own bathroom, but the bed was only a 4ft; no way it was a double. Continental breakfast included was adequate but seating was limited considering it was for 3 hotels worth if guests. People queuing for seats to become available

Cons:First was the fact that there is no front desk at White House as they've published. It's actually at Seymour hotel behind the corner. I had to make a risky move of leaving my bags at the entrance to go check in.
And then, had to deal with the unusual request to provide my passport details. This surely can't be legal. Anyways, due to the uncomfortable situation of leaving my stuff in the open the staff had no choice than to hand me my key ASAP.
I then realized that the rooms are already allocated from booking so they couldn't give me a ground floor room that I requested.
THERE ARE NO LIFTS, for those who have accessibility needs. This is not the place for you.
Anyways, my room was in the basement of sorts so had to hassle my 3 suitcases down the stairs.
Inside the room... Rudimentary.
No AC. There was a wall fan you had to walk to and turn on. Heating.. Not working.
Towels had debris on them, shower gel container was empty(good thing I brought my own), and even the TV remote was dusty.
If you're looking for just a place to lay your head overnight, that's fine but this is not a place for long stays.
Pros: the gentleman was helpful after I'd already checked out and needed a bin bag.
The bed was comfortable enough for a good night sleep.
It was quiet enough.. Maybe because of my rooms location.
The TV worked.
Complimentary tea in the room.
I didn't have time in the morning to check out the free breakfast.

The hotel was OK for our two-day stay. For suggestion, I would add more options for breakfast, such as fruit or eggs. Overall it was a nice stay.

Everything was very clean and the hotel room was really nice.

It is excellent value for money, especially given that it is in London. The room was clean and the bathroom was very modern. It also included breakfast, although this was very limited with only cereals, bread/toast, tea/coffee etc. (continental).

I like the great service from the staff.

Hotel was clean. Except no wifi and lift - very hard taking my suitcase to the top floor

Very clean as expected, yet staff were very rude and mean, were ableist, and whole property was very inaccessible. I had NO WAY of getting down for breakfast for the breakfast room being very inaccessible, ended up BUYING additional food for breakfast from Tesco, which made me more out of pocket, because staff would not support me, and mum who was with me reported that the breakfast staff did not address her appropriately, were noisy and very rude. Furthermore, asked for a taxi, the car which came was inaccessible and driver was rude, unable accommodate me, for being mobility impaired as well as being severely autistic. I will never stay at this property, will expect a full refund for the discrimatory conduct of the owners and staff. Not to mention that the entire property was freezing cold and WiFi didn’t work.
