Superb enchantment of a cozy stay!!! Room, bed and bath (jacuzzi surprise) was just what the body and soul needed. Immaculately and warmly outfitted and for this full moon weekend near Halloween, it was burgeoning with hilarious and thoughtful Halloween & autumnal fare. Mike is a top chef/cook and a joy to know and be around (BTW, I wanted to sign the guest book and forgot) This location couldn't be more convenient to Madison's small, charming town center and the great ocean nearby.

Michael was a terrific host and prepared delicious omelettes in the morning with gluten-free options.

The property needs updating from the rooms to the common areas. Areas at the Inn had not been cleaned for some time. Our breakfast was well done. Daniel was pleasant. We would not return.

This is a beautiful old home that has become a comfortable and quaint inn. Michael is an excellent host and he makes delicious breakfast! The home is located in downtown Madison within easy walking distance to shops and trails.

Breakfast was excellent.
Our room is clean, the only thing that I didn’t like is the bath towels are old and smelly.

The facility was clean, beautiful on the inside and out and the complimentary breakfast was amazing. Seriously, do NOT skip the breakfast. Free coffee and local tea, cold water from a bubbler, the area is very nice and beaches are within walking distance (some only a 5 min drive away as well). The room was spotless and and bathroom was very clean. A very nice man named Michael runs the whole show and he does an amazing job. Highly recommend and I will be returning. Thank you for everything, Michael!

This was the perfect overnight stay for us! The property is a true New England gem and Michael's breakfast was delicious! Comfy bed, cute rooms. Very clean. Awesome to be able to come out the front door to a safe sidewalk and stroll on block into town for shopping and food! I can't wait to use this as my Madison mainstay :)

I loved the charm of the old house. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owner, Michael, was very pleasant and a good host. We went in October and Michael had Halloween decorations around the home making it very festive. Michael is also an excellent cook. We had two wonderful breakfast meals while we were there. I would definitely stay here again and, I would also recommend this Inn as a great place to stay.

Comfortable, well-decorated accommodations with a special nod toward seahorses. Food was excellent and thoughtfully prepared by the chef/owner. Outdoor area with gardens and gazebo and flowering shrubs was an oasis of calm.

The house and room are charming. The floor is old so it makes noises when you walk. Pieces of white stuff were seen on the carpet and floor.

We came from our wedding to spend the night. The next morning when I went for breakfast, I was informed that I should have responded to a text or email confirming our desire for food. This was brought to my attention in front of other guests which made me feel awkward. Totally inappropriate. I chose not to stay and eat. The booking description clearly stated breakfast included. And I checked my email and text and never received that message. Should I have to, coming from my wedding? Which I told the operator about when confirming the check-in procedure prior to arrival. Overall, neutral experience. The room was big and spacious and the had a patio which would be nice in a different time of year. It was the lack of hospitality that has turned me off.

Super cute and comfy place in Madison.

The room was comfortable enough but it’s an old house with a lot of crooked lines so we had to put our bags in front of the door to keep light from coming in at night. But the location was superb and the host was so accommodating. And Madison is a lovely little town on the Sound with a great beach.

We’ve been to the Scranton Seahorse before and are always impressed. Michael is an excellent host- friendly, knowledgeable of the area and makes the best breakfasts! We appreciate his efforts. The B&B is set back from the road so it’s relatively quiet. We were in room 3 and were very comfortable.

The property was so charming and very well maintained. First thing that got my attention was the Christmas tree. The place was beautifully decorated with Christmas things all thru out the house. That was a plus. It was located just a few minutes walking distance away from town which had a book store, Cafe, and a few stores to shop. Michael was so welcoming. He showed us to our room, recommended a few spots to eat and served us excellent breakfast. My husband loved the baked grapefruit. Oh, and the bed was so comfortable. Best sleep in a very long time.

Wonderful stay. We were on a trip to explore Madison as a potential place to live and the Scranton Seahorse Inn was the perfect home base. The innkeeper Michael was a great host and truly a terrific resource for us about the town, restaurants, and areas to live. Breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable. We will visit again!

The hotel was very nice, and cozy. My only complaint was the bed was very loud you couldn’t move an inch without it squeaking. The house had a lot of character and was very unique. The host was very nice and made us an awesome breakfast. I told him I was allergic to blueberries the day before and he specifically made my parfait without them. The waffle with raspberries and peaches was AMAZING 😍

Our stay at the Scranton Sea Horse Inn was our first experience with the Inn/B&B genre, and it was an excellent one! We're now inspired to look at other inns and B&Bs which we never would have done before. Breakfast was wonderfully delicious! Not only will we look more at inns and B&Bs, we'll definitely come back to the Sea Horse Inn!

Loved the coffee nook on the second floor. Felt so home like to get up and grab coffee and climb back into bed. We loved how the Seahorse was decorated. The owner, Mike is very personable and spent time with us after making a delicious breakfast. He talked to us a little about the history of the building and how he came about running this great little b n b. We even got to meet his two rescue labs...I think their names were Cash n Walker. A great, cozy, home away from home.

This is a quaint small B&B (7 rooms) right in beautiful downtown Madison, CT ... not too far from several beaches. Would definitely stay again.

It was a great hotel, however, it is not children friendly at all. The chef was not fond of children, said some very insulting remarks prior to breakfast. My son, who is 7 very well behaved was waiting on breakfast and he came out with watermelon, I replied oh my son loves it and he replied well we only have 12 slices total so he can't eat it all. Then when he said what we were having for breakfast waffles with pecans and coconut, my son said he did not like pecans and he replied well that's what we are having. For $188.00 for 1 night I believe this hotels should have made better accommodations for breakfast choices, more friendly towards children and not make us feel like we were a nuisance instead of guests. I would not recommend this hotel for a family or children and Hotels.com should have informed me of this when I made my hotel reservation. I was insulted with this chef and his comments which was unnecessary and will never stay there again.
