This is the most magical place! When you’re done frolicking in all the different pools nestled amongst the most beautiful gardens and taking advantage of all the unique and free amenities and sites on the property you can have a delicious dinner and cocktails on site. I can’t wait to go back!
It’s a rocky ride from Liberia though, make sure you rent a 4x4!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property was very well-maintained.

The resort is amazing and unique. The grounds are breathtaking. The cabins are awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is lots to do.
The wifi is spotty and the road to the property is very tricky to drive on - a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended with an experienced driver at the wheel. Once you get to the resort, though, you’ll be happy you came.

The entire experience was very enjoyable. We did the cascade falls excursion and simply breathtaking. All of the staff were really nice made you feel special.

We booked a villa. The water in the shower was cold, every time we opened the faucet, the electricity flickered. We had a power outage. The curtains in the room fell from a height. Only one restaurant was open and they hurried to close it to go home. We really didn't enjoy ourselves, we ran away early in the morning

Great quiet place, clean and well maintained. Saw some tucanes. Road to get there is bad, over 25 km of ugly potholes and bad gravel road (70 minutes). Would recommend a 4x4 which does make the ride a little better.

Rocky drive to property, excellent staff, weak water pressure in shower, very quiet.

We loved everything! The staff was warm and friendly, the food was delicious, the drinks were generous, the cabin was cute, the water slide was super fun, the waterfall hike was stunning, the soaking pools were heavenly, the jungle was wild and beautiful, and we enjoyed every moment of our time there.

The website needs to be updated. Wanted to do tubing and there was no water at the river. However, it kept showing as being offered.

Beautiful place to relax and get away…customer service is superb….the wait staff were delightful, welcoming, and attentive; yoga class with Walter was relaxing and affirming; receptionist was very communicative and resourceful, and lastly my foot reflexology experience was heaven! Will definitely be coming back!

The property was nice. The streets to get to the area are a little bumpy. The staff was amazing, made the whole trip worth it. Our sever Lesther was one of a kind. Angel our driver to one of the excursions was amazing. I was there celebrating my birthday and the crew got together and did a fire show for me. That was one of the many great things on this trip.

This place is magical. Loved every minute of it. We only booked to stay one night and it was not enough so we stayed another night. Gave us a discounted rate too! Staff was so friendly, food was awesome. Cant say enough about this place. It's hard to get to but worth the travel.

Excellent hot springs and activities, a hidden gem.

The shower was with low water pressure and went hot and cold all the time.
The biggest complaint we had was that we stayed 2 nights which was good but the food in the restaurant was the same menu, very limited and expensive. Need more variety and more options as this location was very remote and this really was our only option for food.
Beautiful grounds, loved the butterfly garden and natural sauna and mineral pools.

We enjoyed our stay at Blue River immensely! The property was very well manicured, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms very roomy, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent, hot springs very relaxing, and property was beautiful. Our hike to the waterfall was amazing. Our guide, Kevin was excellent and very knowledgeable and patient. I would highly recommend this property for families, couples or singles.

Great adventure! Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Catedral waterfall tour. Not all the pools were open during our stay but plenty of things to keep busy with mud baths sauna and butterfly sanctuary. Stayed 2 nights and seemed like enough time.

My wife and I stayed 4 nts at the Blue River Resort and absolutely loved the place. The grounds were a paradise as advertised, our casita was perfect, and the resort staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was great as we expected, with the meals on par with fine dining establishments and in an open air environment which we loved. We did not have any issues with mosquitoes at the resort or on any of the hikes/tours we took. And though it was hot and muggy in Liberia this time of year, we were in heaven at 70-80 degrees the entire time with sporadic rains as you'd expect in a tropical rain forest. We wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back for more adventures. Make sure you take in as many of the tours as you're comfortable doing (as some do require being in good hiking shape), and they have the best zip lines we've ever been on taking you over an amazing twin waterfall.

This resort is incredible. The grounds are lush and meticulously maintained. The staff is friendly and the food was great. There’s plenty to do with several excursions offered. It’s an amazing place to get away and reset. We swam in the thermal pools, rode horses, did a waterfall hike, got a massage, explored the gardens and did a yoga class. Every night we fell asleep to the sounds of the jungle. What an incredible experience!

This is the perfect place if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway near the jungle. There are hot springs, lush botanicals, a mud bath, a sauna, a butterfly observatory and excursions such as horseback riding to beautiful waterfalls. There is 1 restaurant on the property serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We just got back from our trip and we had the best time. The location was hidden in such a beautiful part of the world and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They made the experience special. You feel safe the entire time while exploring and seeing everything.

Beautiful setting and very helpful staff. The gym could use some new equipment and the hiking in the area needs to be done with guides.

Beautiful Tranquil stay. Staff were great and always went out of there way to take care of us. Food on site were chef worthy! Activities are available also on site like tubing and tours straight from the resort. Hot tubs and pools were very relaxing not to mention bird watching and other activities all available on site.

OMG Where do I start. Okay so upon getting to the resort it was beautiful the grounds. Upon entering the room it looks like a freaking group home/jail room. The bathroom really needs to be updated. The beds feel like laying on hard concrete. The staff left our windows open and when we got to our room we just threw our bags on the floor and ran out to eat. We walked around the grounds to take in the beauty and upon getting back to the room it was filled with a million bugs. We didn’t realize it was so many flys until my son sat on the bed and started screaming because they were scrolling all over him. I was beating bugs for about an hour. I was so disgusted I packed out things to leave the next day but was unable to get a hotel stay till the next day.
Since we had to stay another night I requested the room be fully cleaned. So as we went to go swim in the hot pool which was nice but a bit colorful we assumed it was due to the volcanic ash as they stated on the website. However the very next day when we left and reached a new hotel that night I started to H in my private area. I took a shower but was still itching so I put a camera down there to look and noticed I had gotten a yeast infection from swimming and the previous hotels water. I had to ask the new resort if someone could go to a pharmacy and pick up some medication for me which was very embarrassing.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO A HOMELESS PERSON!!!!
