We are so happy to have discovered this absolute GEM!! CaliPaso will be our hotel of choice going foward. We stayed in the Sangiovese room on the second floor and the room took our breath away. The view, the fireplace and that amazing bathroom. Thank you fir a memorable stay.

So relaxing, beautiful property and the breakfasts was delicious! It was worth the stay. The fireplaces were so nice and cozy, the jacuzzi in the Winemaker’s residence was warm and relaxing! It was a perfect getaway weekend we enjoyed the property to the max even though it was cold and raining we were nice and warm. The shower pressure was perfect the water was warm and the beds were comfortable. The residence is huge with plenty of towels and I liked that the kitchen was fully stocked. It felt like home, we were so sad to leave.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was wonderful. Convenient access to all things Paso Robles. Only minor issue was comfort of the mattress (which is often very personal). Would definitely stay again. A real gem.

We had the Winemakers Suite and were blown away by the size and comfort of the rooms. The hot tub out the back double doors was also a wonderful touch. As we left we had the complimentary breakfast and everything was first class and delicious. I highly recommend Calipaso for a romantic getaway to Paso.

We booked this room for an impromptu stay in Paso. The suite was spacious with great views of the vineyards. A delicious breakfast was included with our stay, as well as a complimentary tasting in downtown Paso. Everything exceeded our expectations!

Our room was spacious and beautiful. Housekeepers came everyday. Breakfast was sumptuous. Grounds were gorgeous and accessible for walking. Location was excellent. My only complaint was the coffee in the morning and lack of quiet place to hang while drinking coffee. My husband gets up at 5:30 and relishes a cup of coffee. Our coffee maker was broken all three mornings we were there. The breakfast room didn't open till 8 am. So we waited and waited for coffee. If my husband could have gone up to the breakfast room, gotten a cup of coffee and read his ipad, that would have been ideal. I could have slept till 7. It would be helpful, too, to fix the coffee maker!

It was my birthday trip so I called twice to confirm our stay. Nobody replied to my call. When we arrived, they led us to a room in the corner on the first floor. The view was ok but definitely not their best choice. Not only there was nothing special to say about my special day, but also we were expecting a queen bed which turned out to be a much tighter smaller bed. We couldn't sleep well due to the size of the bed. The interior was good, not excellent. The bathroom was the best. Overall their service is a little cold and their choice for us was not good for my birthday at all. I was expecting a warmer and better stay overall.

Return visit for a Big Decade birthday Party for days of Mahjong and wine tasting. Daou Winery Hilltop Tasting on a beautiful warm fall day was an extension of the Calipaso feel of a trip to Italy. Calipaso’s tasting room downtown was a welcome and fun treat included with our stay. Rain shower in one master bath at Vintners house was disappointing, single handle meant scalding or no pressure. Yet overall a wonderful stay from warm cookie welcome to farewell breakfast of blueberry pancakes and eggs to order.

Absolutely loved it here and can't wait to go back. Felt like I was transported to somewhere in Europe. The grounds are stunning and the rooms are amazing. I'm planning another stay in December. The staff was beyond helpful, so kind and just a pleasure to be around. We were the only ones who attended breakfast one day, and the chef cooked us up an amazing meal, truly the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had and made beef bacon for my partner (something he had never tried). Memorable experience and 10s across the board.

Very nice property and room was nice. A bit strange with the TV inside a very low cabinet but that is OK. Surrounding area is nice. Good breakfast. Only negative for me at least is that there is no pool or exercise room. Otherwise a very nice place.

I’ve stayed at this property many years and have always given 5 stars for everything but the past 2 times we’ve been noticing that the bathrooms are not clean, we are missing toiletries, the TV doesn’t work, there is no onsite dining which is very inconvenient because of the location and the breakfast has gotten to be very minimal with almost nothing to eat for vegetarians. I waited to try one more time before writing this review and after having seen these conditions during 2 visits, I am writing this. Very disappointing as it’s my favorite place with the best views!

A bit off the beaten path but well worth it. The villa is a Tuscan delight tucked away on a beautiful vineyard. We stayed in the Grappa suite which was beautifully furnished and included a fireplace, hardwood floors, Italian tile and a large jacuzzi tub. The décor is warm and inviting. Wine tasting and a wonderful breakfast were included! We will definitely visit again and again!

Such a beautiful property and a peaceful stay. Feels like your own little private villa in the Italian countryside. Service was excellent, everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. The only surprise was that we expected there to be wine tasting on site, however, their tasting room is actually located downtown—but that was our mistake for not doing our research. I’ve seen a couple reviews complaining of the AC not working but ours was perfect the whole time and kept it really cool when it was in the 90s outside! Overall it was a really perfect and restful stay.

My wife and I just stayed here for 2 nights. The property is immaculate and beautiful. The rooms are out of this world and very large. No expense has been spared. The breakfast and the kitchen staff were wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and intend on coming back many more times.
