The Inn is beautiful and a step back in time. The continental breakfast was good and adequate, will stay there anytime I’m in Detroit.

The property is an old mansion so I didn't expect new and modern, but there were a few things that would have been nice to have, like extra rolls of toilet paper, a phone number to reach someone in emergencies posted in the room, and breakfast served before 9 a.m. However, the location is great, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and I LOVED all the antiques. Overall a nice stay. Will recommend to friends.

I always look for something a little different than the usual “hotel experience” when I travel. Staying here was just what I enjoy. A great location to where I went to a concert at The Fillmore. Quiet little neighborhood right off Woodward Ave. We were able to walk to where we wanted to go. Safe parking, comfortable room and the hosts were very personable. This Victorian house was absolutely beautiful.

Very cozy and not the ordinary fare. Decorated with antiques, with character and ambience of days gone by. Yet it’s in a vicinity that’s accessible to sports and restaurants.

Great location for a sporting event, but unless you’re into heritage houses, this was not a great place to stay.

I don't like to give negative reviews and this may be one of the first ones I've ever given. We booked two rooms 23 and 24 and it was a cold and windy night out. The windows in both rooms were ridiculously bad and leaked so much air it would likely have blown a candle out if you put it in front of it. Honestly room 24 never got above about 50° even though there was an electric space heater in there running full blast all the time. Our one teenager son gave up in the middle of the night and came and slept with us in room 23 on the floor which was considerably warmer. The other son stayed in the 24 room all night but he slept fully dressed with sweatshirt on and everything under the covers. It's a neat place but they should not be trying to rent rooms that they can't heat. There's no way to cleaning staff did not know that those rooms were way way too cold to rent.

It was an Victoria style mansion a block away from The Ford football Stadium, Little Ceasars & where the hockey team Redwing playes. Rail transportation too.

Everything was wonderful. We had tickets to a show at the Fox and chose the Inn because of the charm and location. The location is excellent for the stadiums and theaters. Arrived at 4:00 to our pick of spaces in the lot. Checked in and walked to the Grey Ghost for dinner before heading to the Fox and a quick walk back to the Inn. I wish there had been a heavier comforter on the bed (only a thin sheet and bedspread). We found a second quilt/bedspread in the wardrobe, so it helped some. If the weather had cooperated it would have been perfect.

We showed up at 1:30pm (knowing checkin is 4pm)door is locked and doorbell is removed, sign says call this number and we did , no one answered . We spent 30 min walking around and finally after we banged on the door she answered and we were not allowed to leave luggage or even walk through the door. Were told about a restaurant for lunch and it closes at 3pm!!! Then we were told they would text us when room is ready, never got one and at 3:59 we went and banged on the door and asked if we could come in now...we were not greeted in the morning and no one there when we left. If this is a B &B it needs some guest interactions from employees.

The Inn is a beautiful and intriguing place to stay. The antiques and the gorgeous form of the home itself is amazing. The staff we met was friendly and helpful. It is very conveniently located to a lot of venues, as we were seeing a show at Little Caesars Arena, only a quick walk. The on site parking is a nice feature as well. The one issue that arose was due to the fact that there is no staff there at all during many hours. The key fob to enter the inn(this is the only means of entry) was malfunctioning and we were unable to get access. The emergency line was called, texted and no response at all till the next morning. Unfortunately all our personal items were inside and we were left to sleep in our car in the parking lot from 12am to 7am in 30° weather when finally another guest was leaving and we were able to access the inn. It is unfortunate that this tarnished our trip because prior to this things were going quite well.

My daughter and I loved staying at this Inn. It was beautiful and a quick 5 minute walk to our concert venue. Denise was exceptional when she checked us in and gave us a personal tour of the property.

Beautiful historic peoperty with lovely accomodations. Sporting events and all downtown features are walkable. There is a Whole Foods within a 10 minute walk for quality groceries or a hot/cold bar. The Inn has a nice little breakfast offering in the morning. Safe onsite parking. Hostesses were delightful and knowledgeable. Would stay again.

Very gross, not clean, NOT worth the money. Cold, inconvenient & rude parking staff . You have to pay for parking here. The place was dirty & old. The bed sheets WHERE not washed. I wish I never booked this place. Nice walking distance to ford field

Location was perfect for our event with a short walk to Ford Field. Easy check in and check out. The staff were very friendly. Enjoyed a nice breakfast while admiring the historical Inn. My only request would be to have something available on the history of the Inn. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Stay was overall nice. Not much ice to access. The last day our power to our room only was shut off because of some “emergency lighting issue” which lead us to check out at 7:30AM because I use a breathing machine and was given no notice.

Nice property close to arena parking is 25 dollars and they don’t accept cash. There is a 250 dollar hold placed on your credit card for damage ! You have to call to gain entry for check in ! The breakfast is very very basic! Beds comfy and clean!

Perfect location for our concert at the Fillmore. Beautiful historical home! Wonderfully friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Cleanliness could be a bit improved and some of the furnishings/ window coverings refreshed.

Beautifully restored and well maintained old mansion - definitely a 5 stars. The hotel operation a 2 at best. Unfriendly concierge, tried several times to and nobody picked up the phone, internet in my room didn’t work, room was vey cold and only a thin cover on the bed, nobody to assist later at night, continental breakfast pretty poor selection. Come for the ambiance not the service.

In a nutshell: if you appreciate historic architecture and an 1890s victorian ambiance, you will love this hotel. If you expect all the amenities of a modern hotel, dont stay here.

Wonderfully restored property. The common areas are exquisite. My room was Charming with a contemporary bath. Our Hostess Denise was cordial and friendly. Parking on the property was worth it. Just a one block walk to Little Caesars Arena and two blocks to Comerica Park, both of which I attended. I will stay here anytime I overnight in downtown. In fact, the Inn is a good reason to stay overnight downtown! With only 10 rooms, I was only able to book one night instead of two, so book early.
