Literally one of my top 3 favorite places I've stayed anywhere. Such a beautiful property, with stunning views. Can't wait to go back!

This was a spectacular stay. The rooms were very comfortable with space for luggage and clothes. The living room and kitchen were spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The heated floors in the bathrooms were also a lovely surprise. The hot tub does take a while to turn on, so something to be prepared for, but enjoyable nonetheless. Would definitely come back here!

Gorgeous property and house. We loved our stay and wish we had booked more nights here.

Absolutely gorgeous property and location. You feel like you’ve walked into a Travel Channel special! Beautiful living and dining space, kitchen, outdoor dining space, bedrooms, laundry, WC, sauna and wood fired hot tub. All impeccable!

Beautiful house at an Incredible location with gorgeous views! We loved the experience of this unique location. The host was very responsive and friendly. Great hospitality.

The stay was very good, although we did struggle to get the fire going for the hot tub. Suggest to provide more kind of kindling to help fire going easier. The rest of the stay was amazing. Cabin was perfectly equiped.

Hrifunes Nature Park is special for many reasons. For starters, the house we stayed in was modern, clean and beautiful. It was a perfect and peaceful place to stay in hopes of catching the Northern Lights. Additionally, the host who runs Hrifunes was truly the kindest person we encountered on our trip. We arrived late and he was waiting in the cold to help make sure we found the house okay and then walked us through to show us everything so we felt settled and secure. Additionally, we had run into some car issues before staying here and the host helped us repair our window the next day. He was incredibly fun and kind and our stay at Hrifunes Nature Park was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. Incredible.

Just like the pictures. We didn’t get to try the outdoor tube but love the sauna room.

We fully enjoyed our stay and Trygve, the property manager, was extremely helpful. However, one important advice: it is better to book on Expedia since Trygve did not receive any of the messages that I sent on Vrbo and it was a big pain for me to get into touch with him to confirm the reservation. But once I was able to do that, everything was super easy. Trygve sent me detailed instructions right away and met me in the office for check-in. He showed me how to start the wood-burning hot tub, which was a lot of fun to work on, and offered extra help during our stay. We like the modern kitchen and sauna is easy to use. Would highly recommend.

Some of the most gwrogous views we saw in Iceland. The property is very remote and peaceful, yet it felt very safe and comfortable. The house has amazing amenities sushi as a private sauna and hot tub, full kitchen and large living room. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing place. 360 views of most wonderful scenery including glacier. Well designed rooms with big build in wardrobes. Fabulous leaving room with an open kitchen. Sauna and hot tab is an added bonus. Very welcoming host.

This place was beautiful. The host was friendly and helpful, everything was very clean. We loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Modern home with all the amenities, outdoor wood burning hot tub (does take more than 3hrs to heat up the water), indoor sauna & full kitchen. We wish we were staying more than one day!

This place with the best view around the area, the house is modern, however, the bathroom is so small and outdated, and what's worse, when we arrived and ready to take a shower after a long day, there is no shampoo and body wash, so we call the property manager, he told us "this is a home, not a hotel" , so we don't have those. We couldn't believe it, we paid almost $500 for the stay and ended up using hand soap to take a shower, that was a joke. Seriously? So there is no shampoo and body wash in your home? The road to the house is very bumpy, and it takes at least 30 minutes to nearest town, so that's why we ended up with showering with hand soap. The living room is great, but most of the furniture are from Ikea, with such high price property, the house should have better furniture and better material, they used laminate countertop instead of quartz or wood. The hot tub is great, but it took 4-5 hours wood burning before you can enjoy it. And you only have Icelandic TV in room, no Youtube/ Netflix and no smart TV either, the house we stayed use a very outdated TV. So to be fair, the View of the house worth 5 star for sure, but the rest just ok, and what makes us very unhappy is that we have to take shower without shampoo and body wash with a not reasonable excuse.

The place was amazing. Very friendly check in and the views were indescribable. Had a wonderful time!

This place is utterly amazing. Incredible views, stylish property with all you need to have a stay in a remote landscape. Sitting in the hot tub at night when it’s minus 8 and rushing there from the sauna is one of the most memorable experience in Iceland. Can’t recommend this place enough if you want to feel alone in nature. You definitely need a 4x4 car to get there though in winter as it really is in the middle of nowhere.

Excellent property! Host was incredibly nice and had fantastic communication. Everything we needed was there.

Perfect location with the best view. In our group of four there were three from Iceland and we all agreed that we had never seen anything like this before. Couldn’t recommend it any more. Good location for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Thank you for having us!

The house is beautiful and has everything you need to have a great time. It is secluded, and has the most amazing view.

The cottage is incredible. Beautiful open floor plan, fully stocked kitchen, sauna and a hot tub! It takes a few hours to get it set up...have to fill it and then it takes about 4 hrs for the water to heat up via the wood burning furnace. But it was well worth the wait! I'd love to come back and stay longer!

This property far exceeded my expectations. It is luxury in the middle of nowhere. It was very well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The owner and hostess of this property provided superlative customer service. The hot tub is a nice touch, but more hassle than it’s worth. Fortunately the hostess lit the wood fire to keep the water warm, but it took hours for it to reach a tepid temperature. However the sauna worked amazingly well and that made up for the lack of a functional hot tub.I highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved staying at Hrifunes Nature Park. Went above and beyond our expectations! Every detail was perfect and our host was friendly and extremely helpful on every level.

The house in Hrifunes Nature Park was ideally located to explore the southern part of Iceland and the house itself was fantastic. We had a bit of trouble getting snowbound by the recent hurricane that blew through Iceland, but the property manager was very helpful, by getting a snowplow to clear the roads just in time for us to catch our plane. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place in the south.

The property was amazing. Howeve, when we arrived we were told we had to pay 50 euro a night for a roll a way bed for one of my children. We paid the fee for two nights. Once we left we realized the property website specifically states free rollaway beds are available for children under 12. It was disappointing to see that although the property itself advertises one thing, once there that is not honored. It was confusing to say the least.

The owner of this property was so very welcoming and friendly. The house is new, beautiful, cozy and the hot tub and sauna is amazing!! It had all the amenities needed and though we were only there for one day, it was by far one of our favorites. Would love to come back and spend more time here!

Wow! Gorgeous, somewhat remote location. Beautiful modern home with a hot tub and a dry sauna. And we were super lucky to see the northern lights - spectacular place to watch them dancing. Trygve, the property manager is an absolute joy!

Spent some quality time in the middle of wilderness, a luxury experience for someone live in a city. Stars and aurora can be seen by just look up to the sky, highly recommended.

We were group of 5 adults and 2 small children (2.5, 1 yr) and stayed for 5 nights and this was comfortable for our group. This might be an ideal place to see the Northern lights, but we had 5 days of rain and clouds. The final morning revealed the beautiful glaciers to the back and beautiful fields and ocean view to the front that we had been missing during the prior cloudy days. We enjoyed the outstanding sauna during some of the cloudy days.
Pros:
Good size bedrooms with great storage closet and racks
1.5 bathrooms and separate sauna shower
Nice entry closet and racks
Great views of glacier and ocean when clear
Radiant heat
Sauna terrific and fast heating and dried rain soaked and washed clothing overnight since no dryer
Some food staples (olive oil, salt, pepper)
Aaron (manager) helpful and responsive to broken coffee maker and missing utensils
Hot tub but…
Cons
Hot tub classical fire heating took about 4 hrs to heat to 90 F and had to be fed wood continuously
Limited adult comfortable seating
Dishes and silverware adequate for only 1 meal (for our size group), so more hand washing after each meal.
Doors rattled at night.
The raining and cloudy weather but this was not controllable!

Beautiful accommodation in the middle of secluded nature .
