The stay was all that we had hoped for.

The property and rooms are beautiful, and the staff could not be nicer and more attentive. Loved the wine tasting each night. And the bed was so comfortable!

Loved our stay and would come back again.

Super friendly, helpful, and thoughtful staff. The decor is beautiful. It is very clean and tranquil. The location is great for excursions and nearby restaurants and shopping. The tea and wine tasting options are a lovely idea on the patio by the fire. Breakfast had good options and were tasty. Loved the sustainability efforts.

Location.

They wanted to charge me 19% in taxes that I was not supposed to pay. Then, they turn off the heat from 1 to 5 am and you basically freeze to death, at least in winter.

Great stay at an excellent location

Great location and friendly and helpful staff. They hosted a wine tasting evening that was very enjoyable. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

The hotel itself is a peaceful oasis in the centre of San Pedro. As soon as we came in the front door we could relax. The little pool was cold but it was lovely to lie in the shade next to it and the sound of the running water was soothing. The room was a good size (pool view double) and the bed comfortable. No aircon but with the fan and the ability to leave the window open at night (and feel safe because of the 24 hour staff) meant we didn’t need aircon.

Pool was a bit cold. Car park was difficult to find.

Superb

Staff were extremely friendly. Great location and the decor was fabulous. The tea and wine tasting were a fun add on too. Breakfast was great and the music playlist throughput the hotel was so nice.

The room felt a little small and stuffy. But the added gifts of the Waterbottles and bag were a nice touch.

The best hotel in central San Pedro, made particularly special by Christian & Carola on front desk

All the staff were friendly & efficient and in particular Christian & Carola on front of house were exceptionally engaging, empathetic & helpful. They are a real asset to the hotel. Terrantai is very well positioned in the town and like a discrete oasis once inside. lovely to have a swimming pool too.

A/C in the bedrooms would be much better than ceiling fan. It would be good to have a comfortable chair to sit in the bedroom, even if it meant having a smaller bed

Perfect sanctuary in the middle of SP de Atacama

The location and the staff were excellent. You stay right in the centre of town but as soon as you step inside it is a peaceful sanctuary. The staff were so kind and helpful. Breakfast is good and the wine tasting is a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing stay at the best hotel in San Pedro de Atacama

First of all a great thank you to the staff around Cristian and Carola and the whole team at Terrantai. It was amazing to stay in your great hotel in the middle of San Pedro de Atacama in the last 8 days. I liked the daily wine tasting which helped to get in contact with others who also stay in the hotel and visit the Atacama desert. Breakfast had everything you need and it was calm and relaxing beside the nice pool.

A wonderful— if expensive — place to stay.

The Lodge is beautiful and though located a few steps from the Main Street, very quiet. Christian made us very welcome and the tea and wine tastings were very nice and helped guests mingle. The breakfast was wonderful too. The Lodge has a pool — we did not use it, but it looked relaxing!

That we had to leave!

Staff elevate property to next level

The headline for this property is the highly responsive staff, especially Cristian and Luis (manager) - both experienced Chilean hospitality professionals. They were uniformly helpful and upbeat during every interaction, willing to go out of their way to help ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. Property is close to the main street. Good internet connectivity and water pressure. Higher quality overhead fan helped cool down room. Pleasant tea and cookies, and then early evening wine offerings promoted using communal areas and meeting other guests.

Smaller property with a small pool in center giving it a somewhat tight feel. Breakfast was fairly basic.

Very good

The location is very good. The place is very nice, even it is not very big overall. Cristian, one of the reception stuff is very polite and helpful with everything. The free wine (tasting) every day is included and very nice to relax and talk with other guests. Chile has excellent wines - this one is okay. The rooms are not to big for this price range, the bathroom feels to small, as there is not much place to put anything (towels etc.). If you have a car it is mostly not possible to stop for a longer time or even park in front of the entrance. Therefore the have a separate parking lot some 200 m away, who you gonna share with cars not just from the hotel.

Maybe there can be some noise by barking streets dogs at night (depending also on your room position), if you mind. The breakfast comes with fresh eggs and orange juice if you order, but the breakfast itself - comparing - is very poor. Tasteless bread and not eatable cake, low amount of fruits and worst coffee I had in two weeks in Chile. The boil it 24 h. As we checked out in the morning at 7 am the guy at the reception had not be there for 20 minutes! No one was there! Unacceptable! We need to get the key for the parking lot to catch our flight ... not really funny. In summary this hotel is way to expensive / overpriced for what are you getting in total.

The staff were excellent and the location of the hotel was brilliant. The hotel itself was also fab. Breakfast was great, comfy beds, lovely rooms and little added extras made all the difference.

Not sure about the value for money, it was VERY expensive for Atacama and nothing too luxurious. The pool is tiny and dirty, a little disappointing.

Piece of heaven

The Staff was so helpful, reactive and always there to help and to answer to any question. Really appreciate their help at each time. They managed the transfer for me, they suggest me a travel agency for the excursion and they help me to print some documents too. Everything was perfect, the Hotel is a piece of heaven. Thanks again to the team for accepting an early breakfast the day of my departure. I highly recommend the hotel

Would like to visit again!

The tall stone walls that make up this location are incredibly cool to experience. The thatched roofing still remains in areas of the hotel and the entire place oozes with charm and history. I could see the landmark church from my room! The hotel staff is very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and they had a large collection of dried herbs for tea, including options for stomach issues and altitude sickness. Breakfast was good with eggs to order and the usual hotel offerings. The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything in this small town

The light in the parking lot was broken so I needed to walk in the dark to and from my car which was a little hairy. I felt safe in the town but like all towns it has its flaws. I watched a drug deal take place the night before and would have felt more comfortable if the parking lot had a light. This wouldn’t prevent me from renting again though! My understanding is that the light had broken and they intend to repair it
